Just touched back down in the U.K having stayed at the Vistimar for 10 nights for our 25th anniversay. This was our 2nd stay here having brought the kids 10 years ago, couldn't fault it then and can't fault it now especially with the modernisation that the hotel has undergone. Rooms are of the highest standard, immaculately presented with everything you could need, the beds are the comfiest we have slept in for a long while. Every single member of staff is attentive, polite and respectful, everyone has a smile whatever time of day or night, the rooms are cleaned 2 days on 1 day off and are sparkling when done. Pool is relaxed and cleaned every day, sometimes at night too. Cannot praise the hotel or the staff enough and will definately be back. This is literally the only place we will stay every time.we come back to Puerto Rico. There are more than enough amazing restaurants literally next door and you have to go to the Panda ocean restaurant at the end of the street for sunset. Thank you to all for the brilliant time we had and we will see you again soon.

This hotel is well presented in the perfect location for everything, hotel staff from reception to cleaning are simply the best.Rooms are the most comfortable and have everything you could possibly want,views are stunning.I have visited puerto rico for twenty years plus three times a year ,and the pool bars do not do much justice,but this pool bar thank you Elli & Rafa the food you serve and the quality of your drinks make this place a 5 star self catering hotel.English breakfast ,lunch or and evening tea time peal perfect. Very reasonable prices and you can order any thing that you would like to eat they go above and beyond alway talking to customers and smiling. We have booked for 2026 already as I have never had a holiday as great as this in all the years once again thank you to every member of the management team and staff. If your not good on your legs this hotel is perfect for you, these facilities and location are great.

Arrived at this hotel as this had special meaning as it was mine and my partner first holiday together so it was meaningful to come here for our honeymoon. On the very first night we noticed the showers in the bathroom were a health and safety risk as the temperature changes instantly from cool/warm to scolding hot which then causes slip/fall risks to step away from the scolding hot water from getting burnt. We were 8 days into our 10 night holiday and every single day other people had been putting towels onto sunbeds from 7.30am even though the pool doesn't open until 10am. The worst part was that my new husband put 2 x towels on sunloungers then came upstairs to help me with bottles of water, sun lotion etc literally 5 mins but then we walked back downstairs but our towels had been removed by Mikel and we had to collect them from reception after receiving a shouting match from him saying he removed them because we have to stay with our towels. To make matters even worse every day at least 15 sunloungers had towels on them from 7am until late lunchtime such 12-1pm but had not been removed so felt like discrimination. During our stay on multiple occasions we had power cuts which we reported to reception and they advised due to extreme heat the hotel couldn't keep up with power outage with everyone using the air-conditioning but this is a disappointment as this hotel was recently fully refurbished so it should be wired correctly to ensure all guests are comfortable in their rooms. When we arrived we were told no inflatables or ball games in the pool which was a small disappointment but good to know to ensure we didn't waste money on anything pool related however other people were using inflatables and playing ball games with the lifeguard watching them this includes adults but not saying anything so we bought a pool hand size soft ball just to play catch and cool off in the pool but instantly told no we're not allowed so yet again discrimination. We made a complaint to Tui but we're faced off with shouting matches and laughter from the Tui rep and receptionist called Ana when in actual fact other guests also complained about the same issues as they were not being consistent with towel removals, inflatables or ball games etc The last day the lift broke and we were located on the 4th floor so had to carry 2 x 25kg suitcases and 2 x hand luggage down 8 flights of stairs as there is only 1 lift This was a big disappointment for our honeymoon feeling like we're children with 1 rule for us and other rules for other people with no consistency for all guests. We will not be returning to this hotel

Absolutely lovely clean hotel with spacious rooms. Right on the beach with amazing Views. In my opionon it should be an adults only hotel. Kids are not aloud to have any fun in this hotel. We are 3 days into a 10 day holiday, there is no entertainment for children (we did know this before we come) but there isn’t any around the area either (that’s not the hotels fault I know) The pool is only small but fine for the size of the hotel the real downside for us the kids can’t have any fun in the pool, No floats no small balls or the lifeguard is right over to you. We brought swimming aid floats to try and help the kids learn to swim and they we’re trying to make us take them out the pool on the 1st day. The lifeguard spoke no English he was just pointing at the floats to my partner not in a very nice way why she was sat there with 3 babies. We booked the hotel through TUI I’ll be speaking to them, this hotel isn’t very child friendly so why they advised us to book it with 5 kids is questionable. Makes things worse you look over your balcony and the hotel next door allow floats/balls and basically fun in there pool and my kids are looking at that thinking why can’t we. The hotel and staff (Except lifeguard) are all amazing and friendly the woman on reception are always smiling as are the cleaners. Totally recommend this hotel to anyone travelling without children, just dont book this hotel if you have young kids that want a bit of fun in the sun.

Writing this as we sit on our balcony on our final evening. This is a lovely hotel which suited our needs perfectly. Apartments are modern, air conditioned, clean and well equipped. Balconies have a great view of the beach and sea, lovely for sitting out in the evening. Hotel is generally quiet, which we prefer - no noisy entertainment or kids clubs. Pool isn’t massive, but adequate for cooling off and you have the beach across the road if you fancy a change or can’t get a lounger (we generally always could when we wanted though.) Pool bar is well priced and does a range of snacks. The couple who run it work really hard. All staff are friendly and the maids do 2 days on, 1 day off. Pool towels can be hired and there’s also a washing machine and a tumble dryer in the basement for 5 euros. Around the hotel there’s loads of restaurants and we never had a bad meal in any of them. 15 minutes walk takes you to Mogán Mall which is worth a visit. Or you can get a ferry to Puerto Mogan from the nearby harbour, market day is Friday and worth going to. If you want to try a different beach then take a cab from the rank outside the hotel to Amadores beach - lovely white sand beach with loads of restaurants. Overall, a great holiday and lovely hotel.

Great self catering apartments right on the beach front. We travelled as a family of three and have booked a two bedroom apartment. We have a third floor room on a corner with great views. The rooms are all very spacious and super modern. Rooms face the beach giving the most beautiful sea view every morning. The pool is very relaxed and no hassles getting a sun bed every morning. The pool bar is lovely and the family who run it are so friendly and attentive. We have four days left and I will be very sad to leave. We have already booked our stay here for next year. The apartment itself has everything you need for a self catering holiday with essentials. There is a hair dryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, hob and fridge freezer. There is also a coffee machine and plenty of kitchen wear. TVs in every room with BBC available. We haven’t had any issues with WiFi. Beds are comfortable, and staff (maids and handymen) work very hard around the clock. Honestly it is probably the best self catering apartments I have stayed in. Loads of places to eat on your doorstep and the Mogán mall a short ten minute walk away or €4 in a taxi. Thank you XQ vistamar for a super enjoyable holiday !! We will see you next year

Excellent stay just came back 2 days ago. Hotel was fabulous couldn't fault the rooms. One of the best we have stayed in. 1st time in Gran Canaria and was lovely. Staff all kind and friendly that also goes for the hotel cat which my son loved. lovely bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend. Only one thing spoiling, the occupants getting away with putting towels out early in morning on sunbeds and not returning til end of day. Why have a policy and not follow it through. Some taking 8 beds at a time. Not on. But throughly enjoyed our stay. X

We loved every bit of our stay with ye in March so much so we've decided to come back for our 35th wedding anniversary next week apartments are absolutely fabulous as are the views but most of all the staff are incredible they go above & beyond from Ellie & Raffa on the pool bar,the pool attendants,cleaners,receptionists etc,etc couldn't fault our stay with ye.This will be our 12th time in Puerto Rico so we're delighted to find a place we love & so close to everything too looking forward to seeing you all next week Michelle & Michael Austin.

Perfectly located opposite the beach, these apartments were so well maintained and recently refurbished. Everything you needed was there, the 2 bedroom apartment was really spacious, lovely big good shower, beds the comfiest ever from a place abroad. A massive TV in the lounge part and one in each bedroom. Spotlessly clean everywhere. You can hire beach towels if you prefer, WiFi ( not the best) but free, safe is free. Bits to wash up with and shower gel etc. Personally I would say it was more of an adult place, kids cant have inflatables, balls etc in the pool which is such a shame. Nothing really for kids to do, but the ones there seemed happy enough. Pool bar was a bit pricey. Check out is at 11am, we spent the remainder of the time around the pool without any issues, some had said they had been told they couldn't ! Massive changing/ shower room and lockable room for cases. During the day it can be a bit noises with coaches and taxis pulling up but have the beautiful sea views to compensate. All in alll we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Everything we wanted 👍

This is a great little apartment, excellent settings directly across the road to the beach. Bars and restaurants within easy walking distance best in Puerto Rico. We have visited for over 5 years. Cleaning carried out all day, pool morning and evening. The pool bar is very good and the staff throughout go out of their way to help you. My only gripe is the occupants. Despite written requests by 8:30 in the morning half the sunbeds had been reserved, whilst the occupants went off goodness knows where. Also, despite adequate drying facilities on the balconies towels are decorating the balconies. Making it all look very tatty and low cost. El Greco next door doesn't appear to have there problems. Also why can't I book a holiday here between October and March, fully booked out by TUI for Scandinavian customers. We Brits need holidays in winter too. I always used to holiday twice a year Oct and Feb. As I'm disabled other apartments are not suitable.

Excellent hotel,rooms beautiful view opposite puerto rico beach could not fault anything about this a wonderful experience Ellie & Raffa at the pool bar were fantastic chefs very friendly and would accommodate to any food preferences you have.Wounderful experience have booked to go back next year.The food and drink are very reasonably priced,looking forward to going back.

We had an amazing 2 bed top floor apartment just for the 2 of us . It was beautiful, great view over beach and harbour . Massive apartment with big kitchen island and big balcony very modern and clean Every member of staff we met from management to the house keepers etc were so nice and the couple that ran the pool bar were lovey. We tried to get a late check out but they were fully booked . We still stayed at pool all day and used the shower and changing room available. So we had no issues their and the staff were so helpful and kind We have stayed at 3 different hotels and this is by far the best . Amazing location no hills lol and stunning unspoilt views with super modern top quality rooms . Yes some guests put towels down at silly times but there were always sun loungers and we never stay around a pool all day anyway . We had the best time and had an amazing chilled out relaxing break We loved it and cannot wait to return

2nd visit here, the first was before the refurbishment & if we thought it was good before well it’s even better now! I’d emailed ahead to request a top floor room if possible & we got the middle room on the top floor & the view was beautiful. We were delayed arriving but were quickly checked in by Christian. The beds were really comfortable & the bonus of now having air con meant the bedroom window could be closed so there was no noise at night. We were glad to see the resident cat in situ, welcoming us home each night & chilling round the pool with us. The pool bar is great & the couple running it so friendly. Pool is much better now that inflatables are not allowed as previously you couldn’t get in it for them sometimes. An absolutely fantastic stay, brilliant location, no niggles or anything negative to say about it apart from 2 weeks going by so quickly.
