Arrived late at the hotel after a flight delay. Kitchen shut and no food available for order, not even snacks or sandwiches. Front desk suggested me to order food delivery but I couldn’t as I am a foreigner travelling from overseas that didn’t have any WeChat pay or alipay to pay for the service.

Because we had to take a boat to Nanji Island, we chose Pingyang New Century Grand Hotel, which is close to Aojiang Passenger Terminal. We didn't expect that this was a wise move. The hotel environment is elegant, the facilities and equipment are complete and new, and the hotel waiter greeted us with a smile and answered questions patiently. Knowing that we were leaving at 7 o'clock in the morning, he packed breakfast for us in advance, which was very heartwarming. Here I would like to praise Chen Yangyang and Zheng Guorong at the front desk. This was a great experience, and I will choose Pingyang New Century Grand Hotel next time.

Facilities: The lobby and elevator are good, the bathroom is leaking, because it is a new hotel, it is in good condition at present, and it needs time to maintain. Breakfast: The buffet breakfast is really great and very attentive, with Wenzhou-style fish balls, glutinous rice, and vermicelli. The cold dish area is also very rich, and there are even lilies. They also make buns and dumplings on the spot, and they are cooked and fried. The only drawback is that the fish balls are a little salty, and it is recommended to put the tableware directly on the table. Waiters have been arranged at the coffee station. If possible, ask about coffee and tea, which would be really great.

I checked in at night, set the air conditioner to heat, and set the temperature to 28 degrees. I was woken up by the cold at around 4 o'clock in the morning. I called the front desk at around 7 o'clock, and they replied that I turned it off at 3 o'clock in the middle of the night. They turned off the air conditioner in the second half of the night when the temperature was the lowest, and they didn't inform the guests in advance, otherwise they could prepare in advance. This kind of service in a five-star hotel is really speechless. I don't know why. I asked the hotel to give an explanation, but they couldn't explain it. There was no garbage bag on the trash can (I don't know whether it should be covered or not). I don't know if other New Century hotels are like this, or if New Century Mingdu's quality control is like this now?

Because we drove a long distance to Pingyang in the middle of the night to check in, the front desk lady did not make us feel the smiling service the whole time. Maybe she was too tired after working the night shift. Anyway, she did not smile the whole time and her words were very stiff. Fortunately, the hotel room did not disappoint us. It was clean and hygienic, with a simple and elegant design. The lady who provided housekeeping service had a very good service attitude. 👍 I arrived at the restaurant late for breakfast and ate slowly. A guy, who was probably a restaurant supervisor, pulled up the sunshade next to me without asking me, so I had breakfast in the sun... It felt very rude~
