The SIS Kata Resort - Adult Only Reviews

My stay was a huge disappointment, especially considering the 1300 RMB price tag. The overall experience fell far short of what one would expect for this rate. 1. There was no bottled drinking water in the room, only two glass bottles. I had to go to the hallway to refill them myself, which was very inconvenient. 2. I booked a king-sized bed, but what I got was two twin beds pushed together. There was a noticeable gap in the middle, and it felt sunken when I lay down, making for a poor night's sleep. 3. The sofa in the room had multiple stains and looked very dirty, so much so that I didn't dare to sit on it. 4. The showerhead in the bathroom was positioned very low, only reaching waist height, making it very awkward to use. Also, the showerhead had a thick buildup of limescale, indicating poor cleaning. 5. From 6 AM onwards, there was a continuous, faint music sound from outside. The volume wasn't high, but it looped non-stop, like a constantly ringing alarm clock. It directly affected my rest, and I was woken up very early. 6. The room was cramped and came with an outdoor bathtub. There was also a large manhole cover in front of the room. Overall, there were numerous issues with the hardware, hygiene, and environment. I personally wouldn't recommend it. The view was fine and very nice, but the hotel itself is definitely not worth the price.

The room was quite spacious and relatively quiet. The air conditioning was a bit loud at night, but acceptable. Everything in the room was well-equipped. Although the hotel is on a steep hill, it's very close to the beach and 7-Eleven. There are many restaurants and other shops nearby once you step out. I regret not going to the nearby shooting range… We booked a tour to Racha and Coral Islands, and we were picked up relatively late and dropped off at the hotel relatively early. If you have a similar itinerary, you might consider staying here as transportation won't be too much of a hassle. The only issue was that the Wi-Fi was a bit unreliable and kept needing to be reconnected.

The views are absolutely stunning! I went swimming every evening, and the rooftop pool in the morning was also incredibly beautiful. The breakfast was genuinely delicious 😋. The noodle soup station had different options daily, and they even had soft-boiled eggs. Just a short walk to the nearest 7-Eleven, and then a bit further down, you're right by the beach 🏝️. The only downside was truly just that big, steep slope on the corner 😂.

Finally checked into the SIS Hotel on my trip to Phuket! The cliffside infinity pool offers a wide and bright view, with the entire ocean and blue sky right in front of you. The scenery is absolutely stunning. It's truly relaxing to stay here, whether you're soaking in the pool and looking at the sea, or lounging on a chair, enjoying the sea breeze and sunbathing. Every photo you take turns out great without even trying to find the perfect angle. The room is also comfortable and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. It's far from the noisy night markets; all I wanted to do was just chill out. The sea breeze and ocean views melt all your fatigue away, making it feel like a true vacation. Friends who love peace and quiet with ocean views should definitely come!

Location is quiet and serene, amenities within hotel and the sunset view are awesome, only downside is the slope for walking travelers leading up to the hotel

The hotel's overall environment and hygiene were good, and the room facilities were decent, making for a relatively comfortable stay. However, the breakfast selection was quite limited and the taste was very local, which didn't quite suit Chinese palates. The biggest drawback was the location: it's quite far from the 7-Eleven, and getting there and back involves walking up and down a very steep hill. The hill road has a lot of motorcycles, making walking quite unsafe. My girlfriend was startled by a speeding motorcycle and unfortunately fell and got injured, which was a terrible experience. This issue is mainly due to the hotel's location and topography, making travel inconvenient. Those who plan to walk frequently should definitely take this into consideration.

This hotel in Phuket was incredibly comfortable! We arrived at night and check-in was very quick. A handsome young man guided us to our room, helped with our luggage, and we received welcome drinks. Our first night was in a partial sea view room, overlooking the pool and the ocean. We had mentioned it was our honeymoon when booking, and they decorated the room and provided a fruit platter! The room was very clean, no insects, and fully equipped. During the day, there was a lovely Chinese-speaking front desk lady. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with different dishes each day (the first day had DIY congee, the second day had freshly cooked noodles). They even proactively offered us Thai desserts and drinks to sample. When we switched rooms on the second day, we were originally told we could only check in after 2 PM. However, since a room was ready early, they allowed us to check in ahead of time, which saved us a lot of hassle. We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It's very conveniently located, with restaurants, convenience stores, and massage shops just a short walk away, and the beach isn't far either. My husband and I agreed that if we ever come back to Phuket, we'd definitely stay here again! 😃

Here's my honest review! Overall: Recommended. Pros: 1. The hotel is relatively new, and the interior, including the very popular rooftop pool, is beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing. 2. The room type I booked was very large and spacious, with a separate refrigerator and counter, which was very comfortable. 3. The hotel breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, with a wide range of options. It's served until 11 AM, making it perfect for those who want to sleep in and have brunch, or wake up early, take photos and swim at the pool, and then enjoy breakfast. 4. It's an adults-only hotel, which is ideal for guests like me who prefer not to deal with noisy children during their vacation. The entire hotel is very quiet. 5. There's a Let's Relax spa located within the hotel, which is very convenient. Cons: 1. The large slope at the entrance is genuinely steep. I'd read about it in other reviews, but didn't truly grasp it until I saw it (please refer to the attached photos). It's incredibly strenuous, and you definitely can't walk up it with luggage. 2. After going down the slope, it's not far to the beach and 7-Eleven, but it's quite a distance from the commercial area of Kata Beach, making it feel rather secluded. In summary, this hotel is a great choice for those who prefer new facilities, enjoy a quiet hotel stay, and like leisurely beach walks. However, it's not suitable for those who want immediate access to shopping, or prefer a lively nightlife with bars.

The hotel is elevated in the headland and the rooftop infinity pool provides fantastic views down to the horseshoe bay below. The breakfast has plenty of variety. Soundproofing of the room was much better than many of the other hotels that we stayed at. The SMART  television allowed screen mirroring which was again better than many of the other hotels that we visited

Clean and hygienic, with a Chinese-speaking front desk. The infinity pool is beautiful. There's a spa in the hotel, but you need to book 1 day in advance.

1. The steep slope mentioned in reviews was certainly noticeable on our first day, but we got used to it by the second time. 2. This hotel is super close to Kata Beach! It was awesome to go surfing in the evenings. 3. Breakfast was decent; it was better when the noodle soup was available. I recommend going early. On my first day, I went at 10:30 AM and there was no noodle soup, but on the second day, I went at 9 AM and they had it. 4. Overall, it's very quiet, perfect for couples or those who prefer a peaceful atmosphere. 5. Perhaps the only minor drawback is that the room lighting is a bit dim, but you can do your makeup on the balcony or at the foot of the bed.

The breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of dishes that changed daily. The pool is beautiful, perfect for lounging around. The beach bag in the room was also very convenient for island hopping. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven right down the street. However, the room had a bit of a damp smell, which might have been due to visiting during the rainy season.

Service was amazing, the breakfast was quite a decent spread too.
