The Palmy Phu Quoc Resort & Spa Reviews

The Palmy was likely an absolutely stunning property when it was built. Unfortunately the environment and a low maintenance budget have taken its toll. Lots of rusty steel railings are evident.  The restaurant which claims to have both western and local cuisine has what appears to be a Chinese leaning breakfast buffet and the dinner menu is limited to a blade steak dish and Pizza. This was confirmed by another guest that had been there for a week.  The multiple pools looked nice but seemed cloudy.  We splurged and went for the executive suite expecting to have a functional living space. It consisted of a wooden love seat and a coffee table and nothing else. No tv or anything.  The bedroom was the unique room. It was appointed with a nice bed in the centre of the room with a desk behind the headboard, a wall to wall curtains separated the sleeping are from the bathroom area. A glass shower and tub area was in one corner and a glass walled toilet area was in the other.  Beach access was though the restaurant.

This hotel is very bad choices

Pleasant and good location. The initial exterior was a little shocking but nothing a lick of paint couldn’t improve. More modern amenities inside and good pools

I really regret having to post something negative—this is actually my first time doing so. After paying for 15 nights at this hotel, our flight was changed to the following day after our reservation started. When we arrived, they told us we didn’t have a room because we were a day late, and there was no availability. I had sent an email as soon as I found out about the flight change (two months in advance) and received no response. I sent another email on the day of our arrival, but still, nothing. In the end, they gave us a room in a building that was still under construction. The air conditioning and television didn’t work, and there were cockroaches. The next day, they moved us to another room, where everything worked except the internet, which kept disconnecting constantly. To top it all off, I got food poisoning from the breakfast and was sick for two days with gastrointestinal issues. The only good things about this hotel are its location and the sunsets, but personally, I will never return.

Location is not bad. But cleanless is pure. Only 1 room key if you travelling with your family.

The hotel has great potential to be a fantastic 4.5-star destination, but there are a few areas that need improvement. The beach could use better cleaning and maintenance, as it detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, some surrounding infrastructure needs attention, as it impacts the hotel's appeal with more attention to detail needed. It feels as though the financial impact of COVID-19 has taken a toll on the hotel, and it shows in some aspects of its upkeep. However, with targeted efforts to address these issues, the hotel could truly shine.

We had a bad experience at this hotel. I travel with my family, 4 adults, 1 child. I booked two rooms when I went to check in,at 16:00 the staff said that there was only one room for me to sit and wait for two and a half hours.🥺😞 Then I paid for breakfast for my son because I understood that the hotel had a policy of only giving breakfast to 4 people. Staff will let us pay more for the son's stay without explaining the child's stay policy. The staff in the picture threatened and scolded us if we didn't pay and chased me to stay somewhere else.

This is a very nice relaxing hotel at that beach. We can walk around the beach but stay in this small luxury hotel. Good to recommend!

The facilities & public amenities need to be improved. Advantage just near to the City & tourist hot spots. No entrance to the beach and no hotel restaurant available after breakfast time.

Covid did no mercy to the hotel. The lobby and restaurant look tired, but it is overpowered by the stunning view of the sunsets and comfortable rooms! The breakfasts are very good and varied. There is construction nearby, so it is dirty around the hotel.
