We went to Wenchang Space Exploration Base and Dongjiao Coconut Grove on the same day. We planned to go to Wennan Old Street and Confucius Temple the next day, so we chose to stay in a nearby hotel.
Advantages:
1. The room is large, and the children can play and move around with a bunch of luggage. The two beds are large in size, easy to move, and put together is very convenient for families with two children. The bedding is good and the sleeping experience is very good. The balcony is quite large and the view is relatively wide.
2. The location of the hotel is very good. There is a gas station across the road, close to the downtown area, and complete supporting facilities.
3. The shower is very good and the bath is comfortable.
Disadvantages
1. The surrounding environment of the hotel is a bit messy. There are two clubs in front, and the parking lot is full of garbage, and the hygiene is worrying.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel for a trip with friends. The transportation is super convenient. It's really close to Wenchang Station. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is newly renovated. There is no formaldehyde smell at all. The environment is super awesome and the service is great. I praise the front desk staff. The beautiful sister was very enthusiastic and told us about fun and delicious places nearby. The overall environment of the hotel is really great. I always liked Lavande when I was on business trips (the main hotel is a place where you can listen to music), so I decided to stay here when I saw Wenchang. I am so impressed that I will continue to stay here next time I come to Hainan. Because it is very convenient and affordable, it is very cost-effective. I have to say that the hotel's breakfast is also very nice, with many varieties and the chef's skills are good👏. Worth recommending👍👍👍

It's right on the beautiful Qishui Bay Beach, just a few minutes' walk away! Plus, the tourist bus stop is right outside the complex, so there's no need to take a taxi or drive to the scenic spots! The room was spotlessly clean, the furniture was new, and it came with its own refrigerator, kitchen, and washing machine, making it just like home. The bed was also very comfortable! I was so happy! The owner is also very nice!

The hotel is very dated. Though the bedroom was decently clean, the bathroom was a mess. It had stain marks all over the walls. The groutings in the shower cubicle had mild dew stains and so was the anti-slip bath mat. It is definitely not fit to be used. The foldable wooden windows above the wash basin had rotted and the paint was coming off.
Coordination between front office and dining room staff was poor resulting in me being questioned about my eligibility to have breakfast. A moment of embarrassment. However the manager apologised and sent us a complimentary fruit platter and a pot tea.

Front desk not really helpful. Just want you to go as it was the whole time ”OK, OK...” and ”I'll take you to your room”...
But no help with luggage, nor an answer if the kitchen would have something for me to eat... I sent my list of allergies (gluten, dairy, egg, honey and soy) to the hotel's wechat the evening so that they could give it to the kitchen...
First room:
The fridge was not cold.
Bathroom floor wet and entrance floor dirty 😰
The manager came and was friendly and helpful. He helped me with my luggage to another room 8505, which was larger.
Here the fridge was also not really making cold and switched off when going out. They couldn't give an extra card for electricity.
In the morning the manager showed me the different food at the buffet that I could eat, but I never received the pork etc, he promised the previous evening, for breakfast nor answered my message when I asked if I should wait for it...
For breakfast I could eat the fruit and in a steam basket a piece of corn-on-the-cob, sweet potato, yam and taro. They also had corn flakes.
Interesting they had 3 milk options: cow milk, soy milk and coconut milk...
The second evening I spent an hour on Wechat with reception to find out if the kitchen could prepare something for me with my allergies - I did give it the previous evening.... Then I went for a walk on the beach... When I came back, they hadn't prepared the fish! The manager gave me a coconut with a straw to drink the juice...
So I only wasted my time to find out if they could prepare something - I did give them my list in Chinese of what I cannot eat...😰 Luckily I always have some food with me...
The fish tanks are outside the dining room so you can choose your fish fresh.... As in most places in China 😊

On hindsight, it wasn't bad as the hotels in the main town areas may probably not be as good for the price I paid. There's no washing machine and I need to hand wash my clothes in the basin and take it downstairs to dry. The staff were not very friendly, but generally, the people here are also not very friendly. The place is clean and the room is quite big.

It is also convenient for eating and parking. The front desk service is enthusiastic and the room is clean and tidy.
