There is a small garden terrace on the fifth floor, located by the river, opposite Vietnam, and not too far from the border. The room is OK. We booked two twin rooms with river views. One of the rooms only had very hot water for the shower, which scalded my companion. It took a long time to fix the shower water. My companion asked the waiter to change the room but got no response. He just kept saying ”please forgive me”. We had to go to another room to take a shower. After about 10:30 pm, the noise from the hotel's entertainment city was very loud, which lasted for several hours.

One of the stops on the trip to southeastern Yunnan was Hekou Border Pass. I booked the newly opened Jianguo Hotel in Hekou through the Ctrip platform. It really did not disappoint. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the front desk manager Li Yang gave a warm welcome and responded to all reasonable requests. He provided With five-star service like a five-star hotel, people feel as warm as the weather in the river mouth! The hotel rooms are spacious and bright, the bedding is white and clean, and the breakfast is quite rich. The Chinese restaurant on the 27th floor has an elegant environment and a wide view, and you can see the sunset over the Vietnamese mountains opposite. Of course, the newly opened hotel in January 2025 will inevitably have some lingering decoration smell, but it is not as strong as expected. We also see the hotel's efforts to keep every room as ventilated as possible!

This time I had a great experience staying at Hekou Yujingtan Oriental Hotel, I have to give it a thumbs up! The location is very good. Standing in front of the window, I can see Vietnam on the opposite side very clearly. For example, anti-slip mats and disposable toilet mats can be added to the bathrooms. Otherwise, there will be a lot of water on the floor every time you come out of the shower. The room is very wide. It is recommended to add an extra chair. Since there are two people staying, it will be inconvenient if one of them is always sitting next to the bed to eat. HHertheTravelerThe hotel did the best that they could but unfortunately there was a bug problem and whenever I turned on the lights many bugs would land on the bed because they were attracted to the surface. The hotel changed my room but the same problem was there so I had to keep the lights off which was very inconvenient. The staff was very kind and I appreciate the efforts they made.

Quiet, without the hustle and bustle of the border center. The room is new and clean. The facilities are relatively complete. One day in advance, you can pick up fresh and novel Vietnamese fruits on the food shopping platform and at the hotel. The proprietress is very enthusiastic and flexible in doing business. Provide free use of electric vehicles to tenants. You can ride an electric bike and slowly and leisurely explore this small border town. Nice travel experience!

Tthi kim yenIt is around 1km from the border(~ 10yuan bi taxi) 500m from the famous Fuxin shopping mall and ~ 10mins by car to the train station (~ 10- 12 yuan).
Very basic room with dim light (1 light bulb in the room), a bit high price compared to what's provided. Dont trust the floor number on Trip. The boss said that it is flexible, first come first serve. My booking stated that the room would be on 2nd floor but it's the highest 6th floor with no elevator. Though the owner helped me with my luggage on arrival but i had to managed to do on my own at depature as I leave early for the train.
There might be mouse in the room :(
The boss is friendly and helpful though he doesnt speak English. He'll not be at the reception all the time you have to call him. Prepare the data sim to call him via Trip number. It's ok for 1 night before the train but no for longer stay.

LLay TannyGood location of Hekou town area where platform’s hostels are mostly located here. Restaurants, cafe, eateries, mini markets, all least 20+outlets are within 1-5mins walk. Hotel unit is of good wifi signal, hot water shower, clean sheets, water boiler for coffee, drinking water dispenser and cable tv for movie choices, perfect for good rest in this Hekou Boarder Town. Safe choice for Solo female backpacker. Highly recommend! P/s: this hotel is the 3rd move in for me within 18 hours with help from trip.com, personally thinks this hotel is great for global backpackers and totally value for money and I’ve extended a night stay to 3 nights to recuperate from traumatised experience of previous lodgings.
