Novotel Hotels in Paris

Good location, Good service. The air conditioner is not working in the room. Feeling very humid . The corridor is much more cooler than our room. Can have improvement on the breakfast menu. We are eating the same break menu throughout four days stay . Overall is good

My family stayed for 3 nights in early July, it was before the Olympics. A lot of preparation over the city, the hotel had a lot of decorations as well, vibe was good. We went to watch Euro Cup in two nights and we took uber to get back to the hotel. Right arrived at the front door. There was quite a lot of people traffic at the front door at night, because it was just a walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. (Pic attached took at the front door) We felt safe. Room was good, it was a bit dated but still ok. Lighting in the room was a bit dim but acceptable. Free water in the lobby, my boy took several bottles in each night to earn game time. Very funny. Breakfast was a bit disappointed, fair food quality and noisy space, rather go to the restaurant nearby. I especially would like to thank the hotel staff and praise their service here for the story below. We left the ipad in the room after checked out. We called the hotel immediately (it was several hours after check out) and they had already found the ipad and confirmed that they would keep it securely. We were on the way to London so it was too late to go back to the hotel to pick it. We kept communicating with the hotel staff and eventually they sent it right direct to my home in Hong Kong. Excellent! Thank you!

Everything about this hotel was good, except for a non-functional AC. I know it is Paris and most hotels do not even have an AC. But when you come back after a hectic day, the room feels very stuffy and claustrophobic without AC. When I complained at the front desk about this, she told me to open the window. And not only that, I was asked to sign on a form which says that I asked the hotel to open the window and if anything worst happens, I am responsible. Really ! This was a uniquely weird experience first time in my entire travel history across many countries. Why cannot the hotel staff mention about this up front to all guests rather than waiting for them to complain? Location: Perfect ! The hotel is directly attached to the Gare De Lyon train station. Literally attached. We arrived in Paris by train from Zurich and were initially wondering about carrying our luggage. But it was just 2-3 minutes from getting down from the train in Hall-2 to the front desk of the hotel. Very very convenient. Even when we were roaming around Paris city, getting to the destination and getting back to the hotel was super easy. In most cases, Gare De Lyon is the starting point or the last point on the bus or the train. I highly recommend this hotel for the location. Besides, you have every kind of shop, restaurants, cafes and what not at the Gare De Lyon station. So need not worry about buying stuff or going out to eat as a last minute plan. Food: Decent food. Good taste and good spread. We found the breakfast at Novotel Paris slightly better than Novotel Zurich. I can compare because we came from Novotel Zurich to Novotel Paris. The number of items in the breakfast were lesser but the taste and choice of dishes was slightly better. But Novotel Zurich is a far better hotel in all other aspects. Room: Besides the AC problem mentioned above, there was another minor issue. The bathroom is by default completely transparent. You have to press a button inside to make the glass opaque. But even this is not 100% opaque but it is acceptable. Lastly, the bathroom door has no lock, which is also ok, as no one would just walk-in inside a bathroom. The size of the room was actually good, considering the kind of rooms you find in Paris. Three of us were able to sleep, walk around and keep our luggage comfortably in the room, so no complaints about the size of the room. Overall, I would rate 3.5/5 for this hotel. I hope they fix the AC problem and it can be very close to 5 star rating.

One of the most convinient stay option to select when travelling Paris. This property is within one of the main area of Pais - bercy. Just with a walk of 2 min you can reach the Main Train Line. Which helps you to travel to all excursions within paris including direct train to Disney. Also the gare de lyon Station is just 10 min walk from this property. Ths area has Main Arena of Paris, thus it has good crowd till late night & with numerous Cafes in line you cant go hungry when staying here. Crepes, crossaints, Coffee, etc all is available from morning 7am to till 9.30pm. Also do not miss Talya restaurant right opposite the hotel for delicious Labanese cuisine. Restaurant has lovely ambience with 24hr attentive Reception staff. Excellent service by the Staff. Rooms are well equipped with all required amenities for family. The property has quite spacious rooms as compared to saying at paris , that rooms are always very small. We had 1 queen bed plus 1 big sofa bed which made our stay very comfortable. Overall i would highly recommend to book this property when travelling to Paris. Special Thanks to Novotel Team for welcoming us with yumicilious chocolates & activities for our little one.

Very good hotel; Good location. The receptionists in the evening were lovely. 🥰 They even had a welcome gift for our little son, a cute teddy bear which he loved. Spacious room with bath and shower. A water fountain next to the lifts and an excellent, tasty and varied breakfast. At breakfast there was also a surprise! Hello Kitty welcomed the little ones! Highly recommended for a family trip. The surrounding area is quiet and safe.

Nice hotel the rooms are just about manageable. Nothing much with the view from the Hotel as we were given a room facing the highway. The breakfast didn't have a variety for the price we paid...the train, tramp and the bus stops are just a couple of feet away from the hotel. A very big thank you to Shamira and Sonia from the reception, especially Shamira who helped us get to all the locations with very accurate information on how to travel and which transport to take to make it easy. This was a big help especially when you are travelling with a child...

We had a 4 day stay at this hotel, check in good, rooms adequate size for a couple. We ate in the restaurant one night, it was okay, but much better food options a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. Breakfast was really busy most mornings, and a complete free for all, food stations scattered around different parts of the room, there also didn’t seem to be enough staff on to cope. The main downside, was the hotel seemed hot, particularly in the rooms at night. We tried to change the air con on the first night, but that didn’t work. You can open the window, but the traffic noise throughout the night is non stop. We asked in the morning At reception , how to change the air con, and was told it was hotel policy not to have it on at this time of year. So it was a case of leaving the window wide open during the day when you weren’t there , then closing it at night so you could sleep due to the road noise. In hindsight, I wouldn’t stay there again if you have no control over what room temperature you can have.

Stayed here for 3 nights, during June 2022. I was looking for a cheaper hotel, but with spacious rooms and bathrooms, which is very unlikely in Paris. But then I found this place, and it was just perfect. The rooms are good, with oven, and mini fridge as well. The bathroom is great, with a bathtub, and a separate walk in shower. Rooms are spacious, and theres two TV's. The living area is kind of a Flex room. Overall, I loved the place. Coming to the breakfast, I feel the spread could be better. The hotel overall is small, with pretty much nothing to to in the hotel itself. But location wise, its good, the metro and bus is very near. The area is safe too. There are many cafe's and restaurants nearby as well. At their normal price, it's a great hotel to stay at. The staff at the reception are particularly polite and welcoming. I forgot the name, but there was a Person of Color African-French, the girl was super helpful and assistive. But again, being a silver member, I am to get a complimentary welcome drink or water, but didn't receive any. Overall, my stay here was good. I recommend it in Paris, specially if more than 2 people.

The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood which is very connected to central Paris. The metro station Couronnes is right in front of the hotel and another metro station Belleville (which is a junction) is about 5 minutes walking. The street is lined with restaurants and cafes, and the place is bubbling with activity. We really liked coming back after long days of travel. The room was reasonably sized and we used the various cupboards and drawers to organize our stuff for the 5 day stay at the hotel. Room cleaning was available daily unless denied by the guest. Overall, it was a great place, and I would absolutely go back to stay there.
