Ningbo Dongqian Lake Songboyuan Hotel Reviews

The place is good and the front desk people are very kind however I was disappointed because there were work in progress in the resort and was really noisy. I wake up at 6.30 am because they were working right in front of our villa. And could not take an afternoon nap for the same reason 😔. I went there to enjoy a quiet environment and was noiser than my place in town! I advised trip to highlight the situation so when someone book is aware of it and decide if want to go there anyway.

It was a nice experience. Well mannered staff.

The hotel has big, spacious rooms and a nice swimming pool. It could do with more facilities for recreation as there’s not much to do in the area. More food options would also be beneficial. Overall, a nice stay.

The resort and room are beautiful. We went for 1 night just to use the pool. The pool was lovely and huge. I was shocked how cold the air conditioner in the room was because it was so hot outside. This made me so happy. We rented a golf cart to ride around for 80 rmb for 30 minutes. That was fun. The room was great and bathroom was the biggest I have ever seen. It was a nice weekend but honestly I wouldn’t return. You can only spend so much time in the pool and there is nothing else to do around the hotel. If you like sitting in nature and reading a book or meditating you will love the place.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel, and Cheng Erhui was very helpful in getting us settled and helping us get back home. The room was spacious and well appointed, and the temperature was perfect for a hot summer's day. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the staff helped us choose food based on our preferences. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of savoury and sweet food, and a range of drinks. We'll definitely go back.

The hotel was big and clean, not much to do in the facility besides the pool which is great. If you staying far in you have to wait for a shuttle to fetch you as its quite far from the reception area.

Lovely location and lovely,, large, comfortable, clean room. You step out of the hotel and you’re in the middle of nature, and near a very beautiful part of the lake. The service was great too. They brought fruit, yoghurt, biscuits and drinks as gifts. I definitely want to go back. There were two negative points: the outdoor swimming pool was not open until the 1st July, so I couldn’t use this facility. The information about amenities of the hotel did not put the opening dates of the swimming pool, so this was a huge disappointment. Also, there is a fridge in the room that is really only a cooling box, and didn’t really make the drinks cool at all.

This hotel is really amazing. It's like a scenic spot. You can stroll around the hotel for a day and enjoy the scenery of Dongqian Lake. The most important thing is that the hotel is pet-friendly. There is a large lawn inside, which is super nice. The furry kids can run around, and the air is very fresh. Coming to this hotel is really like a vacation. There are mountains, lakes, pavilions, and towers. The service is also very good and the breakfast is delicious.

The hotel is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with a beautiful environment. There are many pine trees of various shapes inside the hotel, which is pleasing to the eye. The rooms are spacious, the facilities are modern, the service is thoughtful, and the stay experience is very good.

The hotel is beautiful, the room is clean and tidy, I like this hotel very much, and I will stay here again in the future. However, there are some small details to be improved during the check-in process. I hope that under the new IHG, the service awareness of the staff and the small facilities of the hotel can be improved: 1. The Yulan Court where we stayed is right next to the front desk. When we checked in, we found that we had to walk more than 10 steps to enter this building, which is not very convenient for people with luggage. And when we entered the building, an employee of the housekeeping department pushed a large number of towel carts down these 10 steps, which was very hard, and many towels fell on the way. It is recommended that the hotel add a ramp to facilitate the entry and exit of guests and staff when carrying weight. 2. There is no hand sanitizer or soap in our room. You can only use shower gel in the shower room to wash your hands. 3. The room phone is not clearly marked. There is no response when pressing the "room service" and "front desk" buttons, so you can only run to the front desk yourself. The front desk said that you should press "0" 4. I wanted to add a quilt at night, but I was told that the hotel was fully booked today and the quilts were all borrowed. Why can't each room be equipped with a quilt? 5. The breakfast is too monotonous and does not conform to the configuration of the IHG Group. There is only one coffee machine, which is often short of water and coffee beans, and the waiter needs to keep adding water. In general, the hotel hardware is very good, and the staff are very friendly and polite, but some details have not reached the level of international chains. I heard that the hotel has just joined the IHG Group. I hope that the hotel will get better and better in the future. I will stay here next time I come to Dongqian Lake and compare whether there are any improvements.

I recently stayed in this hotel and had a great experience. The service was also very good. I give a thumbs up to Xiao Wu, the housekeeper, who responded to all requests. The room was well decorated, very warm, and clean. The room was warm and elegant, and the bedding was soft and skin-friendly. I had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was rich in variety. The scenery was beautiful and the price-performance ratio was high. I will choose here again on my next business trip or travel!

The hotel is big and the service attitude of the staff is very good. They are all in villa style. The lights are on at night and it is super beautiful. When I get up in the morning, the air is so fresh. I feel that I have a lot of energy after staying overnight. Next time I have the opportunity to come to Ningbo, I will still choose this hotel.

The room was nice and clean. The whole hotel is still under renovation, the paint smell is very strong and hurts my throat. The public facilities are not finished, basically only the guest rooms. The renovation started at 7 o'clock on Sunday morning, and the electric drill made me unable to sleep. I came here for vacation and rest, and I was woken up earlier than going to work. I mentioned this to the front desk, and the reply was that the hotel was still under renovation and asked for understanding. If the renovation was going to be done early on Sunday morning, why didn't I tell you in advance when I checked in?

This is my second time staying here. Each experience is better than the last. It is very clean. The set menu is very cost-effective. There are many types of breakfast. Manager Wu communicated with us very smoothly and helped us prepare charcoal and other ingredients in advance. I look forward to going there more times in the future.
