Kinugawa Park Hotels Reviews

The exterior of the hotel is pretty, but the interior of the hotel is dated and needs a bit of updating. There were parts of the hotel that were completely shut down (maybe there are saving up enough money to one day renovate). However the facilities and rooms are well maintained and the onsens are beautiful and peaceful. There are 2 main onsens, that are separated by men and women. Each day the onsens are switched, in the morning you will go to one, and in the evening before dinner you can experience the other onsen. Onsite there is a really nice restaurant and gift shop that featured local products at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour coffee/tea station that is free to use. It's a short 10 minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When you arrive they provide you a yukata to wear while you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with options for a western bed or japanese style (sleeping on the floor). We opted for the western bed to be higher off the ground as we thought it would be colder to sleep on the ground. Although the rooms are very well heated and was a bit too warm, that we needed to open the window to cool the room down. The rooms have nice views of the countryside. They provide a pitcher of ice water in the room and you can go to the front desk to refill with ice if more is needed. The bathroom is quite large and has both a shower and toilet in a separate room of the bathroom; although we mostly bathed in the onsen. There is a 7-eleven nearby that was open 24 hours, but otherwise there isn't much else around the hotel. Also the town of Kinugawa Onsen closes quite early, around 8pm it's quite deserted. We were there at the end of November 2024, and it seemed that the hotel was mostly unoccupied, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a very nice one night stay.

Great onsen hotel that is a bit old. We had a private onsen outside that was really nice. Unfortunately there were some communication problems both when checking in and out, but that wasn't too bad. The beds on the tatami mats were very comfortable and the room was generally equipped with everything you needed, even a coffee machine and tea maker.

The open-air bath in the guest room is very comfortable, and you can spend your time relaxing in your room. The hot springs and pool at the inn were also very comfortable. The people at the inn were also very kind.

Apart from having a vegetarian dinner and breakfast for no apparent reason, the hot spring hotel was pretty good overall. But who wants to eat vegetarian food in a hot spring hotel... After returning, I contacted the Ctrip platform to ask the reason, whether it was a problem with the agent's order or the hotel's problem. The feedback speed was very fast. I made several calls in two days to report the progress and was willing to bear part of the refund, but I never told you the reason we wanted to know. What was the problem?

The second time I stayed here, the first time I stayed in a Western-style room. The room was large and very new. The second time I brought my parents to stay, I chose a traditional Japanese-style room. When I opened the window, I could see the snow-capped mountains and mountains. The attitude of the service staff is very good and the experience is very good. Staff will take the initiative to help make the bed at night. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very good, each restaurant has a fixed location, and dinner and breakfast are prepared in advance. However, the included meals are vegetarian by default. If you want to change meat, remember to tell customer service in advance.

The hotel room is large, the location is convenient, close to the station, the service is good, there is an outdoor hot spring bath, the food is okay but there are no big surprises, the day of check-in is not a holiday, there are few guests, and it is very quiet.

Hotel for Japanese pensioners. The swimsuit is very good. Kaiseki breakfast is very varied. The staff is very very nice.

Spacious room in traditional style. There were only 2 towels in the room, both for the shower and for visiting the ryokean. We only paid for the room, and we wanted to pay for breakfast in the evening. But we weren’t able to do this - we were turned away at the reception desk, arguing that we had to make an appointment for breakfast in advance (but where else before, if not the night before?) The onsen is small, but in front of it there are numerous workshop areas

Strange room decoration, poor service

The hotel is great and the price/performance ratio is great!

The room is clean and the transportation is convenient. I will book this hotel next time
