Great Accommodation with Amazing Hosts – Baan Sawan on Koh Samui I spent a few days at Baan Sawan on Koh Samui and can highly recommend it. Although it’s a hotel, it feels more like a private villa – spacious, modern, and exceptionally clean. The infinity pool is definitely a highlight, surrounded by lush greenery and palm trees, offering a relaxing view over the rooftops and nature. What made the stay truly special was the hospitality of the owners. They were always available, very helpful, and incredibly kind. What really impressed me was how they stepped in when I had a scooter accident – they took me to the hospital free of charge and made sure everything went smoothly. I’m really grateful for that. The hotel is in a quiet location and offers a lot of privacy, yet beaches, restaurants, and attractions are easy to reach. The air conditioning works perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay, and there is also the option to use a ceiling fan for extra ventilation. Everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts. I would come back anytime! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Highly recommended!

The most satisfactory hotel in Koh Samui, no one else. The French owner is very enthusiastic. The hotel details are very warm. The breakfast is also very good. Although there are not many choices, each one is carefully prepared. The hotel brother is very enthusiastic! He will pay attention to your needs at any time. The hotel has its own restaurant, which tastes great. Although the hotel is not in the downtown area, it has everything you need. Just hang out in the hotel.

Overall it was OK, there are two swimming pools, the hotel is on the mountain, very quiet. The room I booked included late check-out. When I arrived at the hotel, the staff told me that there was no late check-out. The airport information desk said that most hotels can help book ferries, but this hotel does not. If you need to book a ferry, you need to arrange it in advance.

Great villa, great nice, helpful staff, absolutely everything was great! The hotel has its own delicious restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the green area of ​​the villa and the pool, and there is also a separate bar with its own pool. You fall in love with this hotel at first sight, the territory is surrounded by greenery, every detail of the interior is thought out, we took a family room, it feels like you are in your own villa with a swimming pool. European breakfasts to choose from, calm music plays on the hotel grounds during the day. The hotel is located on a hill, you need to have a motorbike or a car. The service in the hotel and the owners themselves are magnificent!

Clean and quiet hotel, delicious breakfast and magnificent setting for a good rest, unfortunately the staff is not discreet and they spoil everything, we feel embarrassed!!

The location and environment of the hotel are great. It is quiet in a busy city. No one will wake you up except the birds in the morning. There are many restaurants nearby, and 7-11 is also nearby. The owner's service is very good, and the room is in good condition, but the facilities are a little old.

We were only there for one night as the ferry to Koh Phagnan didn't leave until the next day. It is a very idyllic hotel with 16 rooms that has been furnished with great attention to detail. Philippe is the owner and incredibly welcoming. Even though we only stayed one night, he organized the transfer. We think if you want to stay longer you should rent a scooter as the hotel is a bit out of the way but very quiet. Absolute recommendation and thanks.

Site of 10!! Philip and Valerie are fantastic hosts, they have helped us with everything and have been very flexible in everything we asked of them. Regarding the accommodation, very clean, super comfortable beds and a very good breakfast.

Wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt. Es stimmte einfach alles! Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, der Service top - wir haben uns wie in einer Wohlfühlblase gefühlt! Genau der richtige Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und abzuschalten. Was man beachten muss ist, dass man zu Fuß zum Strand ca. 10 Minuten benötigt und eine gut befahrene Straße überqueren muss. Zu allen anderen Locations kommt man nur mit dem Roller oder dem Taxi - das ist allerdings sehr unkompliziert und preiswert.

At arrival we felt that the staff was surprised that we arrived. Even though it was not early but about 5pm. Parking was under some painting, so we had to park in the corner and there was no ramp for luggage but stairs. Passing through a restaurant, there was a reception and we got into our villa that was made of 2 interconnected rooms and 1 small terrace on ground floor. The pool area was nice. Breakfast was not a big buffet but nice fruits and quality omelette were worth the money. The location was disappointing as we didn’t realize that you can not walk to the beach and neither to the city. There are no shops or anything at all. It’s on top of a hill, so no walking. There weren’t many guests, so it was quiete. Overall for a few nights was ok since we had a car. However at checkout I was given one bill but when the owner saw my credit card, she printed another bill with 3% extra. Even though I explained that on *********** is not mentioned about the 3% charge, she just played as she cannot charge my card on booking (same card). Because I felt like not doing problems in front of other guests, I paid. She made me sign the bill as well. I contacted *********** and after they contacted the property, they got back to me that the owner rejected to return the 3%.

Lovely hotel, not big, not busy, family run, great food and staff and close to the busy places with a short taxi drive. Excellent place to relax after a day of exploring the island. Any tourist tours can be booked (at no extra cost) at the hotel where they pick you up and drop you back off again and the staff will go far and beyond to help you find your ideal trip(s). Simply loved it!
