Enjoyable stay at yutorelo nikko, which was conveniently located near lake chuzenji. Room was big and had a nice view of the lake. Hotel onsen was very legit and nice especially when the night was cold. There is free sake and alcohol in the lounge. Breakfast was a delicious set meal with drinks available. Hotel is walkable distance to kegon falls. Would recommend :)

Tranquil place by the mountain lake. Very peaceful place. Hotel is very clean and essential amenities are provided.

We have a good experience in this hotel with friendly staffs. We enjoyed the half board meals too!

The capsules are very noisy and the hostel itself wasn’t too great. The Onsen is nice but I have seen better ones. However the view to the lake was amazing and I really enjoyed it

The bunk bed was so large compare to average bed size with comfy and clean blanket and sheet. There is personal locker with key, lamp, charge station, body and face towel, slipper, and free flow kimono and amenities. The soap, shampoo, body lotion, and face wash are provided. I think it is super fantastic compared to the cheap price. We can use public onsen (male and females are in different rooms so it is so convenient). From 15.00-22.00, in the Lake-View Lounge, we can drink and eat snacks for free: all kinds of alcohol, various soft drinks machines, coffee machines, beer, ice, tea, etc. So fantastic!!!!! There are library and game corners as well. This hotel is just across the Chuzenji Lake, 900m from Kegon lake. There is one and only convenient store (10mins by walk from hotel) which is open 08.00-20.00. Even though there are view restaurants nearby, however, you must be aware that food here is quite difficult to access. Restaurants mostly close as early as 3 or 4 pm. I will definitely come here again.

Beautiful hotel with Lake View. If you book the dorm you can still use the Onsen & the Lounge with free drinks and snacks. Bus goes regularly and the surroundings are just beautiful. The lower beds in the dorm and the dorm itself are very poorly soundproof so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper :-)

Many things were great about this hotel - I stayed in the dorm for 10 nights and you're basically getting hotel level service and amenities for dorm price, very value for money. New towels provided everyday, library and lounge were great (free alcohol and snacks, plus lovely hammocks and view of the lake), onsen was a good size with indoor and outdoor pools. The one thing I didn't like was the material they used to construct the dorm capsules - thin wood that was very hollow, resulting in a deafening amplification of sound whenever your neighbours moved around you. If you're a light sleeper you might want to reconsider. But otherwise, it was awesome, I would go back again!

The lake is just across the road. New facilities. The wood in my dormitory room create some noise as it is kind of capsule hotel. There is a code provided but the door is unlocked so security is no good.  This will bother otherswhen I move. The lounge provides several kinds of beverages including alcohol. Large common space. Next time I will try the private room.

Nice location overlooking the lake. That is the only positive thing I remember about Yutorelo. There are possibly other positive things (like the smores / cocoa freebies in the lobby, and the lounge with ample mediocre drinks / snacks), but they are clouded by the negative aspects one can definitely expect to experience here: 1. There was a cockroach in our room 2. Parts of the hotel were renovated, but expect to see rusted pipes, rusted heaters, rusted ventilation shaft covers, and oxidized lamps during your stay 3. For this price point, the food (expect western meals and nothing Japanese) is definitely not worth the money. Tried to find something else to eat after dinner, but everything in this area closes quite early 4. UNDENIABLY THE WORST PART: We were staying in a Japanese style tatami room, and when we went to the short of satisfactory dinner I expected our "beds" to be setup by the staff. To my surprise, the beds were not made and our room was the way we left it before we went to dinner. Went to the front desk to ask - NEVER HAVE I EVER in 30 years of traveling to Japan where I stay at an establishment with a Japanese style room have I been asked to take out the tatami beds out and set them up myself. What kind of service (or lack of) is this? I am not paying for just a bunk or a capsule - "turndown" service is EXPECTED. DO NOT BE TRICKED by the "good" reviews on here. Unfortunately my friend came to stay at this hotel shortly after I did (also because of the good reviews), and had a very similar experience. Additionally he said that housekeeping barged into their room without even knocking at 10am. Might as well get myself a tent and camp by the lake - at least that is something I expect to setup myself.

Great hotel with an amazing view of Lake Chuzenji. We weren’t aware of the self check in policy and we arrived after 6pm so there were no staff around to help us. The self check in machines are a little hard to figure out but one of the restaurant staff helped us and it all worked out in the end. The onsen is great and the free bicycles were wonderful to ride around the lake. The room was comfy and spacious. One issue with the onsen is that you can hear everyone in the female onsen from the male onsen. Usually this is fine because most people are quiet, but one of the nights there were several women and children screaming and talking loudly and shouting to their relatives in the male section.

Really nice room with an epic view of the lake and enough space for everything. Meals are wonderful and abundant and a seasonal selection each day Perfect place to stay if you are planning to explore okunikko area or to cycle around the lake, there are also restaurants nearby for lunch. The public bath is very pleasant with an outdoor spring to soak in while enjoying an open sky. Found out there was a shuttle bus back to tobu-nikko station setting off at 11am from the hotel after speaking to a kind staff member, Diane. Do make reservations for the shuttle beforehand at the reception if you plan to take this as well. Rental bikes available at the Nikko natural history museum which is a 10min walk from the hotel

Dinner is very good , they provide menu in course and free flow for the drink which is include alcohol ie. beer , wine , sake etc.

Over expectation. I stay in dormitories type , budget concern but facilities is very good. I like on sen bath and beverage bar in the evening , really enjoy. This is smart hotel , QR code to communicate anything , self service. Will not fit to Anyone need operation care
