The Empire Hotel New York Reviews

I've visited New York City for business many times, and this is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in. The air conditioner is extremely loud, making it feel like you're staying in a factory. Additionally, the windows do not block out the noise from the outside, where machines are constantly running. Some equipments are very outdated, and you feel like you might get hurt just by touching the electronics. I requested a room change, but unfortunately, almost all the rooms have similar issues.

The best part about this hotel is the location. It is right off the subway and very close to Central Park, Columbus circle, and Lincoln center. There is a fitness center in the basement but it is very small and stuffy and hot. The pool was not open during our stay which is too bad but that's not their fault. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The worst part of this hotel is the rooms. Our window faced some vent and we had no light. The bathroom was bleak and the ceilings and the doors were old and dirty. The bed was comfortable.

Is excellent location near Central Park. Very convenient for navigating the upper manhattan area. Very nice decorations but bathroom is small and old. Considering the prices and locations is still an excellent choice.

Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was very close to a metro station, Starbucks, and Target.

Hotel was very nice, people were helpful and considerate. 11/10, would recommend.

Noisy dirty

The hotel is in an unbeatable location. There is a popular Italian restaurant, an ice cream shop, and a Starbucks downstairs. Across the street is the high-end Lincoln Center. A few minutes' walk will take you to banks, breakfast shops, and Target. It is also very close to Columbus Circle, and you can take the subway to various attractions. However, except for the lobby, the hotel looks like a high-end hotel. The decoration style of the corridor is weird, the room area is small, and the facilities are so simple that it is only at the level of home. Details include: the bathroom is so small that only one person can stand; there are no glasses in the room, whether it is drinking water or brushing teeth, they are all disposable paper cups. Fortunately, most of the time I walk in the city and just go back to the hotel to sleep. Anyway, I will not choose this hotel again next time.

There are too many problems with the keys. The air is extremely dry. I asked for a humidifier but they never brought one. They gave me as many bottles of water as I wanted for free.

The location is good, the service is average, and the cost is high. The hotel is located next to Lincoln Center and has a good location. However, it does not provide breakfast and does not even provide luggage storage service.

The air conditioner is too loud and unbearable at night

The location of the hotel is very good, next to the Metropolitan Opera House and Central Park is nearby. Next to it is the subway station. It is about 1.8 kilometers walk to Times Square. There is a Starbucks downstairs from the hotel. I booked a deluxe twin room. The decoration of the hotel is very old. If it is renovated, the location will be very good. The walkway is dark... Although very old (especially the carpet), the bedding was very clean. In terms of value for money, this place is pretty good in Manhattan.

The location is unique, opposite the Lincoln Center and near Central Park, it is very convenient to go everywhere, but the room is really bad, there is nothing except a bed, the air conditioner is broken and can't adjust the temperature or turn it off, I almost froze to death. In New York, you have to pay to breathe, this room rate is more than a five-star hotel in China.

A very bad hotel. The facilities are old and the air conditioner is old and noisy. The indoor hygiene is worrying. The hygiene is not as good as the youth hostel nearby. It does not match the price of 2000+rnb at all. In short, it is very bad. Not recommended.
