It was great , problems with the elevator and cards not working but honestly that is nothing . It was so close to so many things to do that we enjoyed to walk out at anytime .

The lift always break down, 1 or 2 running out of 3, rest of the location is perfect very close to time square

Nice enough reception area however only 3 lifts which tended to break down or take ages to come and when you are on 7th floor too much to do the stairs. Small room clean enough but very noisy air conditioning and no dial in room to turn it off up down etc. very unhelpful lady on customer service desk at night told my husband to just use ear plugs to drown out the noise of it. Didn’t spend much time in room only for sleeping. Maids very friendly but call very early @ 8am or earlier to clean room. Will come back and clean room later on in day if you ask them. Quite expensive for too book $1000 for 4 nights. Decent enough location.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms are dirty, old and falling apart. It looks like if you touch something it’s going to break. Bathroom shower gets floated. You can not control the heater in the room. It was like 90 degrees. You don’t have ventilation. Front desk never answer. The whole place looks like a cheap motel. STAY AWAY!

There was no mini fridge for the price charged. One of the bulbs in the lights were broken. The windows werent sound proof so u hear every siren and traffic noise outside. No outlets by the side of the beds on the walls.

Subway and citi bikes are easily approachable. The place is safe. Hot water is always available for shower. Good air-conditioning. When checking-out, make sure to get it done a bit early since elevators are a bit slow.

o wifi in the room. The key has to be changed 4 times beecause stoping working a lot of times, elevator are too small for the size of the builinng

The Gallivant Hotel was overall an “ok” experience. Their website indicated they had a fitness room. When I got there I found out it was closed for repairs. Then I got up to my room only to find a room that was not air conditioned, even though I was told they had air conditioning. Ended up being moved to another room where there was air conditioning. They are currently installing air conditioners in all the rooms. The shower was the best part of the room!! Service overall was good in spite of no fitness room and having to change rooms. The location is VERY good, especially if you are wanting to experience a lot of theater! Also, in spite of some inconveniences, the price was very reasonable for NYC in midtown. I might come back. Maybe in a few months the fitness room will reopen and all rooms will be air conditioned.
