When booking flights, try to choose flights that arrive before 2pm so you can enjoy the island early in the morning. The food on this island is very good and different every day. For snorkeling, it is very convenient to choose an ocean room, just jump off the balcony. The decoration is not luxurious, but the texture is very good, cost-effective, and there are many fish. If I have to pick a shortcoming, it would be better if there was a Chinese butler. I was so happy that I was reluctant to leave here and I will come again!

The price/performance ratio is very high. If you like quietness and exclusive service, you can try it. If you are looking for luxury, forget it.

We had a great time at Mirihi in February 2025. From the moment we landed we felt we would have a great vacation. I won't lie our priority is the reef but we love our food too! The chef is one of the best in Maldives! Every day the buffet was like a totally different menu. You never get bored and the quality is always superb! The reef is very extensive and the recovery of the corals is pretty good! We did a manta trip and we were very satisfied 😌 saw mantas and there weren't too many boats so was pretty calm experience! The diving center staff are very professional, thank you! We stayed in a water villa and eventhough are pretty basic we loved the rustic feeling, the only problem with the water villas is that is difficult to access the reef in low tide. If we go back we will make sure to take a beach villa! The Spa was great too but needs a reno , they told us that they will renovated it(Mirihi is closed now for renos). We had a great time and we looking forward to visit again 😀

We stayed at Mirihi Island Resort for a week at the end of March. It was our first time in the Maldives and a lot of research went in to finding this resort. We wanted a small resort, with overwater villas and a house reef for snorkelling. It did not disappoint! The service provided by Mirihi is of a very high standard, and started from the moment we arrived in Male airport. We were met by a representative from the island and guided through the process of checking in for the Seaplane transfer, including ensuring our luggage was handled correctly and being taken to the terminal, a short bus ride away from the international terminal. The lounge there was well stocked, with drinks and snacks and good toilet and washing facilities. Mirihi was the second (and last) stop on the Seaplane's route, it was a lovely trip with great views over the various islands and atolls. Upon arrival at Mirihi, following lunch, we were given a tour of the island and our villa. Our luggage was taken directly from the Seaplane to our villa, so we did not have to worry about it. We stayed in villa 11, which is on the straight part of the overwater villas. It gave easy access to the lagoon at high tide, and often at lower levels too thanks to being slightly off the reef. There is also easy access to snorkelling from the main jetty, and plenty of excursions you can book to go further afield on the house reef or elsewhere on South Ari Atoll. We did the Whaleshark Seeker Cruise (and luckily saw three of them) and the Night Snorkelling trips, both were well worth the money. We saw a huge variety of wildlife, fish and corals were abundant in all areas, and there are also Reef and Nurse sharks on the reef and by the villas if you are lucky. On land there are lizards, fruit bats and birds to spot. The food was absolutely amazing! As a vegan, I was a little concerned as to what options I would have, but I did not need to worry. The kitchen team are excellent at what they do, and on days where there was less choice on the buffet they would make me something with what they had to hand. We were full board, and breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fantastic with plenty of choice. Dinner has a different theme every night, on a bi-weekly cycle, which helps with variety. Usually there is a cold salad section, a main course area with self-serve rice and curries or similar, and often an option to have something like noodles or pasta cooked fresh with meat/fish/veggies of your choice. Finally there is a dessert section, which is always worth saving some space for! All in all, we had a wonderful time and hope to be able to visit again in the future.

What a relaxing trip. From the moment we cleared customs to when we returned to the airport to check-in, we knew we were in great hands. Mariyana helped facilitate our airport transfer for both arrival and departure. She is so helpful. We were greeted at the plane by Carmen and Mohammed. They had bags for our shoes and for the remainder of our stay we were barefoot (natural exfoliation by the white sand is an additional benefit). The food and drinks were excellent and overseen by Roman and Chef Felix. Great and helpful staff. Beautiful views. We also went of the manta ray and whale shark excursions. In additional to being a great guide, Lynn made her photos available to the group. I highly recommend Mirihi Island Resort

Exceptional island in every single way. We’ve been lucky enough to stay and dive at several resorts in the Maldives and this is by far the best. First, the diving. The team at Ocean Pro Divers is incredible - Steve, Sameer, Naeem, Jana, Lynn - and a special thanks to Mari who we dived with the most - are professional, caring, safe, and knowledgeable. The same goes for the captain and crew, the whole team couldn’t do enough to help. Groups are very small, we always went to a different dive site, and they even wash your kit! Mirihi itself is so peaceful that it feels like your own private island. Everyone that works on the island is friendly and attentive but discrete. The food and accommodation are excellent and the beaches… simply paradise. A huge thank you to everyone at Mirihi for an incredible two weeks.

We stayed for 12 nights at the end of Jan/early Feb and booked through Angelfish Travel- who we highly recommend. This was our 5th visit and each time we appreciate it more and more. Of the 4 other Maldivian islands we have visited, Mirihi is our favourite. The island is due to undergo a renovation this year so will be closed from May 2025 until approximately November/December 2025, according to their information. We look forward to returning in 2026 to enjoy the new and improved facilities but the main positives for us are the Mirihi team, exceptional food, drinks and impeccable service. The reef is wonderful for snorkelling and the spa treatments have all been excellent. The management team and supervisors are always around, yet nobody is intrusive, just a reassuring presence that they are ensuring the best experience for their guests. We very much appreciate the freshness and choice of food at every meal, there is so much variety, it is presented so well and always delicious. We love to enjoy a cocktail either in the bar or on the deck at Muraka (the a la carte restaurant) at sunset- there is an excellent wine list too, if that is of interest. The renovation is apparently going to include an upgrade to the gym and rooms so I won’t comment on those as they are due to be changed but from our past experience, although the rooms are more basic compared to many newer islands, they are always kept extremely clean and have everything you need in terms of tea/coffee/towels/toiletries etc etc. 🙂

We had been wanting to got to the Maldives for an age so when we finally got the chance expectations and excitement levels were sky high. We should never have delayed for all those years as The Mirihi Resort was simply off the clock on so many levels be that Staff Service of Reef Diving. Alexa and her Team have to be of the most professional, kind and talented groups of people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The Cuisine is well in excess of Five star Cosmopolitan fare and the variety and care they go to to make a typical week’s stay that much more original and surprising is remarkable. The Accommodation is faultless( dangerous to claim I know!) and the Scuba and Marine offering is enviable with the expert Dr Lynn Kessler on hand to give an expert view on Turtles, Rays and Sharks as required. I simply cannot imagine Paradise anywhere else.

I cannot find anything to complain about at Mirihi, everything was first class. The snorkelling is excellent especially for lone snorkellers and beginners, easy access from the beach. The reef is very spread out which means there are lots of places for fish to hide so the quantities aren't so great but the variety is there. A tide chart is given in every room which is helpful as at low tide it is not possible to snorkel from many of the water bungalows. All usual suspects plus a green mantis shrimp and a flatworm were highlights for me.

For me and my wife, Mirihi is the best-run island in the Maldives. Just spent our 4th holiday on Mirihi, this time for 4 weeks Dec 24 / Jan 25. Highpoints: * exclusivity (<=80 guests); * great team spirit and pronounced friendliness of staff (direct effect on feel-good of guests. Many long-time 10+, 15+, 20+ staff! Excellent management); * superb food (long-time and well-known reputation of chef de cuisine); * very professional diving team (2021 award of best diving team in the Maldives); * continuous cultivation of plants, beach and island by garden staff; * attractive and good number of organized special events; * good spa; * plans for extensive 5-months renovation 2025 of Mirihi (new gym, outside pool, 4 new villas, renovation of existing villas). Mirihi offers a unique blend of luxury and simplicity. The villas are perfect for unwinding, and the beaches are pristine. I loved the eco-conscious approach of the resort, which made my stay feel even more special. The sunsets were a daily spectacle, and the tranquil vibe was exactly what I needed. This is paradise done right!

What a wonderful escape! Mirihi may be small, but it offers everything you could want in a luxury island retreat. The house reef is phenomenal for snorkeling, and the accommodations are elegant yet cozy. The staff's attentiveness made our stay feel like a dream. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
