Solana Beach Mauritius - Adults Only Reviews

I had a pleasant stay at the Solana. The service is amazing, the staff will be checking on you at least twice a day. I appreciate the surprise on my birthday. The cake was delicious. I thought I will pass incognito as I didn’t travel with my friends this time.

Solana is in a good location with beautiful views and the staff are friendly. You can literally snorkel infront of the resort. Food was excellent and drinks good. You get bare basics amenities in your room. My room had uncomfortable chairs outside but I saw some of the other rooms had comfortable chairs on their balconies. They come in and out of your room a few times that I feel is unnecessary, things that can be done in one go (clean, refill minibar, bring towels, ask how your stay is). They can change a few things but overall I had a good stay at Solana.

It seems they could spend a more time and money on renovation and improving their service. We were told we would get fresh water everyday in our room, that didn't happen. In the all inclusive buffet you have to pay for anything other than water, ice cream is also not part of the buffet and it will be added to your tab. It is in the same area as the rest of the food but it's just an inconvenience that you take some, then you notice that you gotta pay, and wait until someone comes and charges your room. I'd say that's pretty cheap

I had a horrible experience here. First of all I was only here for a night and I was all alone. The room I got was good. But at 7pm while I was in the bathtub NAKED, I heard someone opening my room door while saying “room service”. This person open the door and then call out room service. I immediately screamed and asked her to get out cause I was naked!! I did not expect any room service at 7pm!!! I was in a total shock! Literally shaking and cried cause I was too shocked somebody walked in to my room while I was naked. When I complained to the night manager, he said I should have put the blue hanging thing outside my door if I don’t want to be disturbed! HOW WUD I KNOW THAT THING SAYS DO NOT DISTURB? It literally doesn’t say anything. See my photos! Also the room door is unsafe. Despite the lock, there is no additional lock from inside and there’s no peephole! Very unsafe for solo travellers. Later that night at 10pm, my AC spoils. So they came to fix and asked me to change room cause it will take longer. They moved me to an older room with wooden floors looking very disgusting. MY BED HAS SAND! I was too tired to make a big fuss so I slept with sand on the bed. Check out is 11am. So at 11.06, room service came knocking asking me to check out. 6 mins late and already come knocking my door . Whereas they wasted my time the night before fixing the AC and making me move to another room. So when I check out, I had to make a big fuss and bring out the Karen in me. They never offered any service recovery until I had to ask for it! No initiative at all after what I have experienced. After a few calls, they offered me 30mins massage, free dinner and late checkout. Yeah that was after I demand a service recovery! Anyway this resort doesn’t provide free water in the room. Not even a bottle. THANK GOD FOR THE BEACH. The only best part about this place.

The best so far

The sea view room is not bad. The sea in the east of Mauritius is better. The breakfast is simple and tastes average. The dinner is too expensive and the price-performance ratio is poor. The service is average.

The furnishings are a bit dated. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, but for a four-star hotel it could be nicer. The boathouse with the possibility of water sports activities is well run and the possibility of the adjacent diving shop expands the possibilities for other activities. As guests we would have liked to extend our stay for one night. Despite asking three times we did not receive an offer, even though the hotel was more than half empty. And this is deceptive, especially because the hotel is very well staffed. 

Very, very perfect! The price is very good in Maoqiu. It only costs over 1K. The room faces the sea directly. You must book a room on the first floor. It is really a private beach. You can walk to the beach 5 meters from the room! The parking lot is huge and there are plenty of parking spaces! It’s an hour’s drive from the airport, so it’s recommended to rent a car.

The hotel is beautiful but its location is ok

The hotel is beautiful, classic with a large garden and great views. We took a room with a sea view, I didn’t like the location of the sunbeds (right in front of our windows), all the privacy and advantage of this room is killed. At the reception, the girls were a little slow with the service.

Прекрасный отель за не огромные деньги. Отель с красивой большой территорией . Каждый вечер анимация, музыка, танцы или песни. Каждый день активности - игры, спорт, развлечения. Там вам не будет скучно. Хороший спа массаж. Недалеко от берега плавает много рыбок, которые можно посмотреть с маской. Ресторан Аля карт очень понравился, было все вкусно. Уборка в номерах по 2 раза в день. Смена полотенец. Везде чистота, всегда есть все что нужно в номере. Вода в номере без оплаты. Вода в основном ресторане бесплатно, а вот в ресторане Аля карт та же вода но платно.

房間設施有點陳舊 關鍵是英式插座衹有兩個，另外一個卻是意大利式插座 無法使用 很不方便！ 另外，被子很薄。但是環境真的不錯 早餐也很豐富。 實話實説，好的地方和不足的地方都需要指出來啦。

位置特別好，早餐超棒，下次我還會定在這裏，海里麪還有魚浮潛愛好者的最愛，早餐有牛奶，新鮮的咖啡，水果，各種的食物，麪包做的非常好吃，海里我拍到了很多魚
