The hotel is at great location and the price is worthwhile but the sound insulation is bad. You can heard what next door is speaking and outside noise.

Pros: nature. Kind staff. The island is quite dead with 1 average restaurant (the best they have). Unless you are looking to completely disconnect from society for a few days (then try Casuarina or Pangkor Laut). Hotel: No sound insulation. You can hear every motorbike pass by on the road, kids scream by the pool, and nearby local entertainment venues with awful loud singing at 11pm. Door separator with the adjoint room is thin and you can hear everything neighbors say. Toilet seat is broken. Window bench can break any time. Curtains are not blackout and got to sleep in an eye mask. Wifi is not stable. Access to ocean is separated by a road with a dozen local shops. It’s quite a mess. Dirty beach. No sunloungers. There are only 2 restaurants nearby with Chinese and Western food. I’d rate them at 3. Hotel itself doesn’t serve dinner. No laundry service. Asked reception what activities are there to do on the island - they have no idea about prices or details and just forward to the tour guides on the beach 🤷♂️ Pangkor: It’s a dead village. Underdeveloped, not in a good way. There is really nothing to do here. Dirty beaches. No day-beds on any of the beaches. Little infrastructure. Only one or two semi-decadent restaurants. Cultural and nature activities are lacking as well. Maybe worth visiting for 2-3 nights max or not at all. To summarize: If you are looking for Bali-like or Thailand-like environment, Pangkor is not it. It’s literally a kampong (village).

Nice play nearby the beach. Just the room quite smelly. Ask the receptionist to put some scent so the smell lesser.

This is a nightmare This is not a hotel The beach nearby is just a nightmare You need to go to the right about 200 meters, there is a good beach And the kitchen, which you will get used to in a week anyway. The hotel itself has simply miserable rooms, from the 1980s, everything is very old and shaky, semi-darkness, like a prison room from films. The toilet is broken, the water ran noisily and loudly all 9 nights A gardener takes care of the trees and a good responsible security guard inspects the territory in the evening. At the reception, the girl Tenish, an Indian, helped, and was more friendly. The other employees tried to fix something, but in such a run-down hotel nothing. Every breakfast was just a mess, I will not describe in detail. Over time, of course, we got used to everything

The price I paid for my order included a RM10 tourism tax, why did the front desk charge me another RM10? In addition, the breakfast for a child (10 years old) needs to be supplemented by one person, shouldn't the child be half price?

Nice hotel located very close to coral beach and across the road from teluk nipah beach. It already needs updating, once in a week there was no water at all on the island, they promptly provided bottled water. You can choose from five dishes for breakfast, including fruit. Works after three hours of Jacuzzi in the pool.

We stayed at this hotel on the eve of the Chinese New Year, choosing a beach location near Kuala Lumpur. Pros: The best beach on the island (Coral Beach) is a couple of minutes walk. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. There is no special exotic atmosphere in the hotel, but it is cozy and quiet. The room is spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. The equipment is a little tired, but the staff responds promptly. The sockets are UK, but you can get an adapter from reception. The contingent of guests is pleasant, mostly family and not noisy. There are many seafood cafes nearby, the food is delicious and inexpensive. Flaws: Breakfast is very poor and boring. There is a choice of 4 sets + salad bar. Although the location of the hotel is not bad, you will have to take a taxi to get to the exchange office and the pharmacy. The selection in nearby shops is poor. In duty free there is only chocolate. It is almost impossible to buy fruit, and those that are sold are absolutely tasteless. Adviсe: Do not book on weekends - crowds of locals. Monkeys come to the hotel, so nothing can be left unattended on the balcony or in the pool. If you like to drink, it’s better to take a bottle of wine, whiskey, etc. with you. You can't buy anything on the island except beer. The sea is warm and calm, but there are strong low tides that go far. Something is constantly biting in the water, either melusa larvae or plankton - we still don’t understand.
