Hotel location is fantastic. Less than 1 minute walk from the information center located from the train station. Hotel room is fine but the edges of the bed frame protrude out hence one needs to be more cautious. We arrive at 7pm on a Sunday evening and check in was quick. Will appreciate if WiFi password and Lucerne Visitor card are given upon check in instead of having to request for it. At 11pm, when i tried to input the WiFi username and password, it shows Credit used up. I called the reception for assistance and was told to come down to the reception. After going down, I was given another print out of the WiFi username and password. I do not understand why this cannot be communicated over the phone. Went back to the room, tried the new username and password and it still doesn't work. Only managed to login to the WiFi the following morning when I went to the reception and get another user ID and password. Not sure if this is common in Switzerland but this sure is my first encounter.

Service: Super good. Since it is a long way down the stairs, there is a bell to inform customers to ring the bell and the hotel staff will help carry the luggage and send customers to the room to guide them to check in! Overall experience: very, very good, leaving very unforgettable memories After entering the hotel, you will first be presented with hot towels and welcome tea. After asking a series of requirements, the front desk will also provide you with a free map of Lucerne, as well as free bus tickets, which you can experience or take home as a souvenir. Plus a note about the honeymoon trip The hotel got a free upgrade to a very nice lake view room with a terrace. In addition, champagne and four small pieces of dessert were given as a gift We ordered chicken steak using room service and got a side of fries with three kinds of sauces. The price was high but it was really delicious.

Very nice hotel just across the street from the Vierwaldstatter see(Lake Lucerne) Pros: Great staff easy check in Great views from lake facing rooms, easy parking. Ok value for the area,comfortable bed. Cons: There was construction going on at the time of our stay. The rooms have no A//C, not a deal breaker but the room was sealed up tight and that first blast of stifling heat when we opened the door was unexpected. But they do give have a large fan unfortunately the cord would not allow the fan to be placed in the terrace door to help cool off the room. The breakfast buffet selection was plentiful but the cooked foods were merely OK at best.

Large stately hotel. the hotel also has residences which means less hotel guests and traffic (in a good way). i generally look for hotels with pools and saunas attached and the pool area has was beautiful was outdoor patio with view of alps and lakes. Lockers, robes and slippers provided. i had room #205 which had peekaboo view of lake and mainly a rooftop, I suspect City View rooms would be noisy with busy road in front. book lake view if possible. the front staff was lovely and very helpful. They were very accommodating in trying to sort out my room. I could have been made to move after the 1st night but to their credit - saw it was easier to keep me in the same room. restaurant and bar with outdoor seating looking out towards lake and promenade. Heavenly!

The location of the hotel is very good. It's just across the road from the train station. It looks like a very old hotel from the outside. Although the internal facilities are relatively old, the hygiene is still very good. The bathrooms in the rooms are large and have two windows facing the street. As the previous travelers said, the sound insulation is not good and the floors creak. Overall, this hotel is OK for a short trip of one or two nights. Breakfast is average and similar to most European hotels. There are many shops downstairs in the hotel, and there are plenty of dining options.
