You come to this hotel to stay at the Explorer Tents. They really are a one-of-a-kind accommodation experience. Air-conditioning in the tents is very powerful, so no problem at all. The toilet area is outside but it's the glamping experience. There are two pools, one at the spa which is just magical and one Main infinity pool. There is a sauna at the spa centre, all free for use. There is a so-called beach where you can actually stand at the banks of the Namkhan River. There are other outdoor activities dotted around. The breakfast options are small but should be enough to satisfy. The location is very secluded, so when you do get to the hotel, you won't be coming out to the old Town, despite having free shuttle services. I opted to book a transfer with the hotel to the airport as I didn't want to risk missing my flight, with no LOCA cars willing to enter this area. I stayed at Explorer Tent No. 2

Absolutely loved our stay at The Namkhan! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and they truly went above and beyond by surprising me with a thoughtful birthday celebration - the effort that Carl and the team went to prepare for my birthday cake was so thoughtful. Beautiful setting, peaceful vibes - felt at peace and calm here. Highly recommend! Slept so well each night.

Outstanding experience, the resort was stunning, the ambience so relaxing, and the service great. Would be easy to stay here for a long time! Only negative is that its not super close to the center of town (with a bit of a rough road as you leave the resort), but it works out fine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!

The resort is a new yet nice one. Although its rather far from town centre, still worth a visit.

LOOK NI MORE for where to stay in Luang Prabang. Amazing hotel with great service. Marvelous rooms. Yoga, cooking class, weaving class, massage, and more than you can imagine. We stayed with our children and they had tons of fun same as us. They solved and paid attention to every need we had. All rooms are build separately so we would come back here as a couple most definitely.

Although this hotel is not located in the town of Luang Prabang, it takes 20 minutes by tuk-tuk (the road is not very good), this should be the most special hotel in the world. I especially experienced the tent room, and it was definitely a unique experience to fall asleep every day listening to the sound of the river. The food in the hotel comes from its own organic farm, and there are many projects to experience. This is definitely a good place to escape from the world. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the center of Luang Prabang.

How should I put it? Everything was as expected, but it didn't surprise me. And some things were unexpected. I could only see half of the river view in the river view tent room I booked. The toilet in that tent was outside. Every time I went out of the tent to use the toilet, it was like going through a tribulation. It was too hot and there were a lot of mosquitoes and ants. The service attitude was very good, but the management needs to be improved. You can say it's wild and luxurious, but it's not very wild, but it's really hot even if it's not wild. In short, you can only experience it for one night at most. For someone like me, whose life is given by air conditioning, I will not go there a second time.

Staying at this resort was the last stop of our Laos trip and we spent a very unforgettable two nights. We liked it here better than the hotels in the town. Room equipment: We stayed in a tent by the river. We had to zip it up when entering and exiting to prevent mosquitoes. In addition to asking for a toothbrush, we had to ask for it from the front desk. There is no phone, all communication relies on the resort's own app, and other facilities are complete. Activity experience: During the stay, I paid to experience kayaking, sunset cruise and massage. The experience of kayaking is great. The guide is very professional and the scenery along the way is beautiful. It takes two hours in total and the price is 25$/person (excluding service fee). The sunset cruise is a long-tail boat. There are only guides and boatmen, and there are no other tourists along the way. The scenery is quiet and beautiful, about 45 minutes, 18$/person, including a cocktail. We also experienced the 42$/person boat ride on the Mekong River. In comparison, each boat has its own characteristics. Catering: The vegetables are all grown by ourselves, the prices are reasonable, the taste is very good, and the Western and local cuisines exceed expectations. Travel: The resort is close to the airport, a ten-minute drive from the town, and a 20-minute drive from the train station. There is a free tutu bus to pick up and drop off. The frequency is not too many, and there are also motorcycles for rent (of course the price is much higher than in the town). In short, if I come to Luang Prabang next time, I will still choose this place.
