Ping'an Yijiaren Hostel Reviews

You get what you pay for. Just beware of thin walls and floors. WiFi was great! Hard to find so I pictured the entrances below.

Initially hard to find using apple maps. Contacted the owner who through wechat and translate sent the location but we had to have her father to collect us by foot on the main street, we were 2 minutes away but it's a windy collection of stone steps and alleyways. Stayed in a double room, clean and tidy. Good strong shower and hot water and effective WiFi and air con. Easy access to main viewing points situated between the 2 main look outs. Be prepared to climb steps and wear good footwear as slippery when wet. Hotel offers breakfast lunch and dinner. We opted for breakfast which we requested the night before. Large bowl of chicken Noodle soup for 15 yuan. Great to start the day.

The owner is an amazing cook, eaten both dinner and breakfast there Great location in the middle of the village. Full of amenities and super clean room.

Great stay close to the entrance (6 min walk) and close to the viewpoint seven star (15 min all the way up). Room very clean

The name of the hostel is One Family, and that is exactly what you will get here, since the second day I found myself sitting at the table with the whole family running the place feeling sort of part of this family. On top of that, the owner is part of the local minority living in Ping'ancun, so culturally it doesn't get more authentic than this! But what I truly want to stress is the kindness and helpfulness of the owner's son (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten). He gave me a lot of interesting insights about the history and culture of Ping'ancun, which was truly fascinating. In addition, he gave me advice about my travels, and, ultimately, I would follow his tips seeing some of the most outstanding places in China. So, if you need info and tips about a China travel itinerary, you are also at a good place here. Lastly, the room was like being in a hut on top of a mountain. Surely not as luxurious as other hotels in the area, yet again if you look for something authentic, go here.

Wonderful genuine and local people.

We really enjoyed it! The host family is very, very nice and looked after us well! Communication is a bit difficult, but it works well with translator apps and if that doesn't work, the helpful daughter is called, who speaks very good English. A delicious dinner and breakfast were cooked for us, both quite cheap and really very good! The location is a bit difficult to find, but it is very central in the village and we simply asked locals who showed us the way. Our best stay experience so far and we recommend it wholeheartedly!!!!

Our stay in Ping'an was one of the best in China. The owner is very friendly and smiling, she showed us tourist places to go, she cooks very delicious and her hostel is clean and cozy. I recommend it 100%.

The store has complete facilities, but there was no hot water supply around 9pm. I took a cold shower and asked the host if there were too many people using hot water at the same time. It would be better if it was later. Everything else was very good. The main reason was that the price was reasonable!

There are no face towels and bath towels, but everything else is okay!

The owner and family of a family hotel are very friendly and hospitable. They cooked our own meals for us and the room was beautiful and comfortable. The scenery next to the hotel is also super beautiful

It's very good. Sister Liao is very nice and the food she cooks is delicious.
