The room was tiny which i could barely open my suitcase. Luckily my stay was just for one night. I was assigned a room in the basement, which I would have preferred a more spacious and airy environment.

I booked this hotel because i had stayed previously for business travel and i loved the decor, service and facilities. However it was disappointing that there is no longer access to the breakfast buffet in the basement which used to be very good. Also, there was no air conditioning in the room and the windows did not open, so even though it was late November the bedroom was uncomfortably warm. I can only assume this is a cost-saving measure or that the hotel has changed ownership and I am not sure I would return

Decent spot near Kings Cross. Very friendly service. The bar was nice. Wouldn’t order the food from the restaurant however. Take my word for it. Rooms seemed very clean and comfortable.

The location is very good, and the subway station is only a minute's walk away. The service attitude is also very good. We wanted to stay in the attic and they checked the room for us (o^^o).

The hotel is on a small road opposite King's Cross Station, and there is construction next to it. The exterior of the hotel is shown in Figure 3. I didn't take a photo of the room. It's in the basement. I dragged my suitcase down. It was a small room, and there was really nothing to take photos of. The hotel's lounge area is very cozy, and you can order coffee and light meals, but there are still many choices of restaurants or cafes nearby, so we chose to go to an Italian restaurant near the hotel. The advantage of this hotel is its location, but people with light sleep should be careful. After a few minutes, you will feel the sound of a train passing by. I think it should be the subway. After all, we live in the basement. I can't give a good review for the room price of 1,400 yuan.

We came to the California Hotel in mid-December. The check-in was smooth. The booking number was provided and the check-in was smooth. My room was on the 2nd floor of the hotel facing the street. You have to be careful when walking on the ground with 2 28 suitcases. The hotel staff has good service and is easy-going. They answer everything patiently. The hotel is in a great location. The hotel is 5 from the entrance. There is a subway station at the entrance. The King's Cross Railway Station across the street is just a few steps away. The King's Cross Railway Station is very convenient for subway and bus travel. There is also an "M&S" small supermarket in the railway station, which is convenient for shopping. I chose this hotel close to the railway station (300 meters) because I was going to Edinburgh by train. The location is very good! The room is also clean. The hotel meets my basic needs. I think it is worth recommending to friends who need to book a hotel in this location for reference. I saw comments that the hotel windows could not be opened and the room was not ventilated. I arrived in London in December. When I woke up in the morning, I saw that the window glass in the room was full of moisture. It was cold outside, so I didn't check carefully whether I could open the window. The room is equipped with a fan and heater, but there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. I also felt that the thin quilt was suitable for use in the room, and I didn't feel stuffy. In short, it felt good. I hope it can help you make a choice.

Because I had to catch the 6:10am Euro Star train, I moved to the California Hotel to stay overnight. The check-in and check-out procedures are all done manually, and you have to wait 5-8 minutes during busy times to get a room. Next to the reception lobby is the dining area, which is good for ordering a drink and waiting. My room that night was on the ground floor of the hotel, which was great as there were no stairs to climb. Although the room is small, there is enough space to hang clothes, especially wet coats. The suitcase can also be placed under the bed to give a little more space to move around. Overall it is hygienic and comfortable, but if you have too much luggage, it will be a bit crowded.

It's very close to the train station, but the sound insulation is really bad, which is really a disaster for light sleepers. The attitude of the front desk staff is very good.
