Stay Hotel Lisboa Centro Chiado Reviews

The service is terrible. There is only one reception at 4-star hotel and it’s not acceptable at all and we had to wait for 30 mins to get served. To pick up the luggages, the other staff are free but they asked us to wait for nothing and I don’t understand at all. This city tax is also expensive compared to others. The check-in time is very late at 16:00 and not appealing to me but the room is clean and the location is good too. However, the facilities are not enough I feel. One soap for all and they don’t provide water bottle daily. Overall, good location but one of the worst service I have had. Not recommended:( and never intend to come back here

Superb location. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Baixa-Chiado metro station. They're also showing live EURO 2024 matches in their lobby area. Very clean hotel. Also near to many tram stops, including the legendary tram 28, the lesser known tram 12, both go through the Lisbon town showing many sights & sounds. Also near to tram 15 stop which brings you to the Belem Town / Belem Tower.

Location is great as it’s right next to the metro, and the room is very big. The negatives are the AC didn’t work and the room got really stuffy especially when trying to sleep. When I asked the front desk, they said they’ll turn on in 30min. When it didn’t happen I called again and they said a technician is working on it. In the end it didn’t come on and the next day I asked another receptionist and she said if it comes on it comes for the whole floor and the AC is off during winter… could have said that in the first place as I would have accepted it. Sink was also blocked and not a lot of amenities. I had to pay for slipper as the carpet was too dirty to walk on. I did ask for an early check in around a week prior which I arrived around 1:30pm but was told I would need to pay for an extra day if I was given a room, which i guess is fine given I was early but I’ve never been told this before at any other hotel.

Excellent location! Surrounded by plenty of restaurants, shops and the metro is just a few steps away. Reception staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The chocolates at the counter was always a treat for the kids. Room was spacious and clean. Recommended hotel!

Almost nothing for breakfast, what a shame! When you ask the staff they will bring something, like they don’t count the people for breakfast… Horrible

I liked the very clean and tidy room. The reception staff were also very kind and polite. I thought it might be noisy because it's in the center, but it was very quiet. However, the air conditioner in the room I stayed in was very loud and woke me up in the middle of the night. Maybe it was the off-season, but for breakfast they only checked what I needed and brought it to me. I thought it was a good system in terms of eliminating waste. Amenities included shower gel, shampoo, soap, and a shampoo hat.

Hotel that, despite offering an excellent location from which to visit the city of Lisbon and despite having quite comfortable rooms, is quite hostile in meeting the needs of customers, as demonstrated by the fact that, despite having asked for a partial refund, for having been forced to leave the hotel due to force majeure (strong earthquake), they did not deign to provide any response, giving the sole responsibility to the site Trip.com with which there is clearly an agreement without which I would not have been able to proceed, independently from their personal site, to the reservation made. Very rude hotel staff.

Nice hotel but... No parking and obligation to park in paid car parks at €40 per night. No parking space available outside, these being reserved for residents. Finally, the external insulation is poor.

Good location in the middle of the center, not too crazy

Very good location. Good value for money. The size of the room is very good. The bed is very comfortable. They should insulate the windows better because there was outside noise and not very good thermal insulation. A safe is missing to leave valuables in the room. The sink and shower are good. Cleaning is daily if requested and is correct. It is very wise to have a kettle with hot water and infusions available. Complimentary bottle of water is also appreciated. Very attentive service. They all speak Spanish very correctly and have helped and resolved everything that has been asked of them. It is undoubtedly a good choice to return to Lisbon for its location, services, customer service and value for money.

I came here with friends and the accommodation conditions are actually better than the pictures. The front desk will ask you if you want to add breakfast when you check in. The breakfast is pretty good, including milk, coffee, bread, juice and fruits.
