Romantic Hotels in Lhasa

We stayed at the Shangri-la after a week of being in Tibet. It was a nice change from the more Chinese style hotels we had stayed in and was ideal for the night before our flight out. The rooms are great and we booked one with a bath. The shower was very powerful and hot. The breakfast buffet was, by Chinese standards, decent for western options and the evening buffer was good for approx 200rmb/person if you're in need of more western options. The big plus for me was the gym. Decent by most hotel standards and had a good mix of resistance machines, cardio and free weights (mainly dumbbells of up to 20kg plus a pair of 27.5kg). The only thing missing from the gym really is a squat rack but otherwise very good. Would stay again.

The hotel upgraded our room, provided us with an extra bed, allowed us late check-out and provided smiling/prompt service. Overall a very good experience.

This hotel is located right next to the entrance of Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple, close to shopping and transportation to other places in Lhasa, so the location is perfect. The service is the most impressive, my hotel room was facing the street and there was a loud speaker shouting all day and all night, I had to complaint to the hotel staff even though the speaker was not part of the hotel. They immediately negotiated with the the relevant people, and offered to switch my room to face away from the street. Also the hotel staff helped me to reserve the critical sites and train. I cannnot be more thankful for their help. The room was big and they cleaned every day, they did a good job cleaning the room. The onsite laundry facility was helpful too since I cannot affort to pay for laundry service. All in all, I am very happy with the stay, and will return again if I come back to Lhasa.

Great hotel, large room (was upgraded for free to Suite), clean. Marshal at reception was friendly and attentive. Large variety at breakfast, although the western options are still slightly limited. Would be nice to have greek yoghurt and more cereal choices. Chinese options are great. Joy (waitress at breakfast) was very good and deserves a mention!

Excellent service, we are very happy with the hospitality that was offered to us at the hotel. Everything from cleanliness to service to going the extra mile with free floor of mineral bottle, turn down service with fruits and yoghurt etc. Not forgetting the excellent view of the Potala Palace from our rooms as well from the breakfast table truly made our stay a very memorable one.

The room is clean and tidy, and the facilities are very complete. The hotel gave away a lot of free mineral water and drinks and a lot of fruits. I am really very satisfied. I would like to thank your hotel through the Ctrip platform. Last night, our child suddenly felt unwell and vomited on the bed sheet. I immediately called the front desk. In less than a minute, the staff helped us change the new quilt. Later, the child needed oxygen, and the hotel also arranged an oxygen machine as soon as possible, which touched our family very much! When checking out, I asked to pay, and the hotel did not confiscate it. Here, I can only give a 5-star praise and strongly recommend it. The ******* beer in the cabinet tasted surprisingly good. I wanted to buy a few cans from the hotel, but I didn't expect that they gave me three or four cans directly. Hahaha, happy! I am a southerner who is afraid of cold and doesn't like to turn on the heater. I asked the girl at the front desk to get a quilt for my bed in the middle of the night. The service is so good. I always like to stay at Atour when I go out. Recommend!

The room is clean and tidy, and the linens are of InterContinental hotel quality. The room is relatively large for a hotel of the same standard. The front desk service is also good, and the breakfast is also OK. The location is 5 minutes by taxi from the Potala Palace.
