Lake Tekapo Hotels with Bars

Booked 1 night accommodation through an on-line booking site (Expedia). Unfortunately there was a problem with the booking in that they hadn't included my child in the booking so the accommodation booked (motel room) could only accommodate 2 people. Thankfully the staff were fantastic and managed to find us an alternative option for no extra cost. The cabin we stayed in was fantastic and the place has undergone a massive upgrade since we last stayed here in 2011. The cabin was clean, cosy and we had everything we needed for our staff. Great BBQ available outside of the cabin which we made use of for dinner & brekkie and location is superb. An adventure when travelling with a 6 year old as accommodation felt very safe. (lots of families around due to scholl holidays). Easy 5 min stroll to Tekapo Hot Springs. Would recommend and advise to just book directly with the accommodation rather than an on-line secondary service.

If you want to feel the private garage and small villa, then come to this one. It's really a completely different experience, it's the feeling of renting a house. We arrived late because of the closure of Highway 8 and responded immediately after ringing the bell. This one has a bathtub and can take a bath. There is also an electronic fireplace. The style is in place. There is even a rice cooker 🥰 to completely solve the Chinese stomach. The starry sky is so beautiful! Looking up is the starry sky. The sun is spilled on the bedside in the morning. The door is Tekapo. Recommend to stay a few more days. Disadvantages: No active cleaning service. This service may be provided after further communication.

This is a cute little boutique hotel situated near to Lake Tekapo and 15 mins drive to Mount John. It is good location as it is very near to the city centre where many shops, restaurants and a big supermarket are located. The service of this hotel is tip top and they serve breakfast to your room on a daily basis so we can eat while enjoying the lake view . Breakfast is great as well and I would like to give special comment about this hotel staff (Yvonne) who is very helpful and friendly and made good recommendation where to visit around Lake Tekapo. The room although not too big but it has a starlight which we can gaze the stars from the bed, it is quite interesting (but the room has to be in complete darkness). It is also near to the Church of the good shepherd and the view is so spectacular sitting just beside the lake.

This place has everything you would ever want! The kitchen is overstocked with every cooking need that a regular home has. It has a garage for your car, a washer & dryer in your apartment, a cute fireplace, books, King bed with ensuite, a second bedroom with 2 single beds plus another bathroom. There are added touches, like slippers on your bed, coffee, tea, salt & pepper, olive oil. It's close to the lake and in a very quiet area. Loved this place!!

Easy check in, very friendly, accommodating staff. Mantra was perfect for a family stay. There was plenty of room for the family, a good outside space and the garage in the middle of winter was fantastic. The upstairs heating in the bedrooms was amazing. However downstairs - main living, tv, kitchen, dining room was freezing. The gas fire was ineffective in the negative temperatures and even with an extra heater (which we requested), we were cold when downstairs. They have everything needed for a stay - full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Staff were great.

The hotel sign is not obvious. You need to pay attention to it to find out. Uncle Maori called me by the name and checked in for me because I stayed two nights and upgraded my suite with living room, dining room, kitchen, and 2 bedrooms. Just leave the key on the door when you leave The hotel is right next to the lake, with beautiful scenery and superb lake views, and the starry sky at night. The car is parked in the hotel, free of charge throughout the day, 🈶️ 2 queen beds, bath products, hair dryer, kettle, microwave, stove, towels, slippers, no toothpaste and toothbrush. The New Zealand steak is good, and I cook it every night for dinner. There is free coffee and tea bags, and drinking coffee every day feels good. Just walk past the Church of the Good Shepherd, just go out to the lake, and check the starry sky at the Church of the Good Shepherd at night. It ’s beautiful! It's not far to the shops and supermarkets by car, it should be 10 minutes on foot The hotel does not include breakfast. I made sandwiches myself and checked out at 10 am

We chose the upstairs family room with a view, we were not disappointed, a view straight down the lake, wow. The beds were comfortable, we had enough room for all of us, kitchen was adequate and the large bathroom was good. The lady in reception was very helpful with recommendations for dinner, breakfast, activities not just in Tekapo but around the MacKenzie Country. We have recommended this place to family and friends already, you will not be disappointed.
