THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!! The man, Tommy, who runs it is so sweet, helpful, accommodating. I will miss his sandwiches in the morning- if he offers to make one for you, say Yes. They were sooo good. It was a great stay, I arrived after getting caught in a downpour and felt so bad about getting water everywhere but Tommy was so helpful and gave me a spare pair of shoes to wear since mine were soaked through. He gave restaurant recommendations, and I really appreciated his hospitality. The room was comfortable, it’s a quiet place, lights out was around 21:00 I think. It’s a good location, close to a station. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The only thing to be aware of is you cannot drop your luggage off early before the check-in time, and you have to be out of the hostel during the day from like 12-5 or something like that.

This place is clean and its in a good location. The owner of the place is always happy to help. He is the most cheerful guy i have seen in japan.🙂

Except that the lights were turned off too early, everything else was good. The boss gave a map and recommended surrounding facilities enthusiastically.

Pros: First of all, the guesthouse was very cozy and pretty! As soon as I entered, the owner, who spoke English fluently, greeted me very warmly, and until the moment I checked out, he was so, so, so kind that it was a trip to Kyoto that I left with good memories. The room was clean and had good bedding in a tatami room, so I stayed comfortably 😌 If I ever travel to Kyoto again, I definitely want to go here!! Cons: It was a little inconvenient to get around because the famous tourist attractions and restaurants in Kyoto were more than an hour away, but it wasn't a big problem, and thanks to that, it was nice to be able to see the beautiful sights of Kyoto👍 Also, there are stairs inside the guesthouse, but they are narrow and high, so it was a little scary. You have to be very, very careful when going down.

The boss is super nice and the service is great. He even prepares breakfast himself🍳. The location is also close to the subway station. There are also supermarkets and MUJI shopping malls nearby. It is also close to various attractions. The distance is not too far. Everything is good☺️

Since I was traveling alone, I used a dormitory shared by several people to save money, but it was very quiet and I had a better rest than I thought. The host also recommends nearby restaurants and places to visit. You were so kind The accommodation was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Disposable items, towels, and skin lotion are provided. The train station is also close, and if you take the Sanin Main Line, you will go to Arashiyama in no time. However, luggage storage is cleaning between 12:00 and 5:00, so it cannot be stored in the accommodation. He said that you can leave it in front of the front door, so I went around leaving my suitcase in front of the door except for valuables just in case. Anyway, I had a good rest!!

Everything satisfied! I highly recommend it. It's convenient, you can rest assured that breakfast is included, and if you have pajamas and a change of clothes, you'll have nothing to worry about.
