Krabi Tipa Resort Reviews

Balcony view from every Deluxe room is quite different, depending on which building you are assigned to during check in. Some face the smaller pool, some have distant sea view, some face small shrubs while some face tree branches and the worst are those that face a brown stagnant pond. So despite the Deluxe room description in Trip.com stating "seaview", you need good luck to get this view (only a few Deluxe rooms on the upper floors have sea-view in reality). A lot of squirrels in the hotel arounds and they are often bold enough to jump onto the balconies and hand railings - make sure you keep all your doors closed! Location is excellent - close to everywhere you would tend to go to: main street for food and shopping, Ao Nang Beach and the long-tail boat departure points to Railay beach

It is a great resort. The service of staffs are extremely friendly. Book The ocean view suites. Nice and spacious. However had to climb multiple flight of steps to the room unless you take their golf car to your building. Then again another flight of steps to the lift. Not too fun if you hurt your legs. The room had a jacuzzi tub which is nice , but when we start filling up the tub, a lot of hair start floating in the water , hence we decided not to used it. Toothbrush are not provided , if you do need one request from the counter. The weird thing is that they only provide 1 door card. Hence if you are going out separately, you have to coordinate on the return with your other half. The fridge is only functioning when the door card is plugged into. I bought a cake and it melted as we are out of the room with the door card. However overall it is still a nice hotel.

The location of the hotel is ideal which is walking distance to the Ao nang beach. The waiting time for buggy service need a lot of improvement as we had to wait each time to go out from the hotel and to return to the room. The waiting time was around 5minutes to 20 minutes. As it’s close to the mountain, please expect some bugs that may be a visitor into your room.

hotel is at great location, right beside ao nang beach. but quite dated and not very clean. we actually needed to file a request to switch room because 1. we booked a seaview room but cant see the sea or pool at all 2. the room was dimmed, dusty, musty and the lamp wasn’t even working. Fortunately, trips staffs Hafiz A was very helpful in this issue and managed to help me liaise with the hotel so that I can get a new room (though still no views & next day house keeping gave us a bedsheet with a black shoe-print, but at least better than the first).

There was no hot water for shower. Our room was faraway, and had to call the management to bring golf-car, sometimes took half an hour. The worst experience I had was when I booked a Private shared minivan to travel to Phuket. That trip should take only 3 hours.  The driver didn't speak English, was very impolite, and took him 5 hours to drop me at my destination. I called many times to hotel management and complained,  they assured me to take action, but I having heard from them.

There could have been a beach bag and towels for the beach in the rooms. We had it provided to us at another krabi hotel and it made total sense.

The hotel looked good on the outside. However its not a 4 star standard anyone would expect i would give it a 2.5. The check in was pleasant, front desk staff were friendly but lacked training and experience. There were no complementary drinks or welcome basket or fruits that i saw in the review. The staff failed to also inforn that the drinks n snacks was included in the package. My booking was for the Executive room and it required a buggy transfer to and fro, the driver Lif and CJ was sweet, pleasant and accomodating unfortunately the last 2 days of my stay i encountered a staff called Yee who was rude who stomped away when asked something and refused to respond to any queries and shouted back when asked for help with my luggage. He should not be put in front of the guest. The phone did not work at times and so it was difficult to call for the buggy and room service calls were unattended. There was no proper tv channel in english only in Thai language and Hindi. The housekeeping staff were prompt and friendly but couldn't communicate. I used the same towel for 4 days and the bathroom rug was not changed in that period. There were dirty moldy spots on pillows but was promptly changed when requested [pre requested for dust free clean room because of allergy ) . Good staff but unfortunately they were not trained for housekeeping mostly interns. The lobby area had no ventilation or fans. The location was good but hotel needs a real makeover and lacks well trained hospitality staff. It was my birthday and even knowing that there were no complimentary anything comparing to being looked after well and served well in other 3 star hotels b4. I will rate this 4 over 10 and the 4 is only because of the friendly staff and the jacuzzi and location. Not worth the money spent.

What can I say? If you are coming to Krabi, you should stay here at least once!

LOCATION IS EXCELLENT AND NEXT TO KRABI SHOPPING ARCADE. EASY TO FIND GOOD RESTUARANTS AND WALKING DISTANCE FROM SEA
