Kotohira Onsen Kotosankaku Reviews

The hotel is quite old and the room space is too small comparable with other onsen hotels. I am quite disappointed about the room because it doesn't like a onsen hotel.

Great service, lovely hot spring.

The hotel room is very old, but clean

This hot spring hotel is situated very close to the Kotohira train station. Our booking included set dinner and breakfast buffet. Food is delicious and you get pretty full. Room is spacious and air-con is cool which is crucial during the hot summer. The hot spring is segregated between men and women; opens until midnight. There is a free shuttle bus available which takes you to and from the train station. I arrived at Kotohira around noon and that morning I had the hotel staff where I stayed in another town to call this onsen hotel to pick me up. Very happy with my stay!

Kotosankaku is located about a 5-minute walk from Kotohira Station and is very easy to find. The map shows that the post office is on the right, but it is actually blocked by buildings. There is a long straight road from the station. There is a souvenir shop in the basement of the hotel. It is a bit historical, but very comfortable and spacious. There are many cultural relics in the corridor for viewing, like a museum. The room I stayed in was a Japanese-style room at the Zanshuikan (with an open-air bath), which can accommodate up to 4 people and only includes breakfast for 2 people. The room was generally large, with barely enough space for 4 beds. The whole room was very clean, and there were many breakfast options, but not all of them were delicious. The dinner set was average, a bit disappointing.

There is a direct bus from Takamatsu Airport that stops at the hotel, which is very convenient. The room is also very spacious, the hot spring is very comfortable and there is a massage pool. The breakfast is buffet style and there are many varieties. In summary, the hotel is good and recommended 👍🏼

Although the hotel is a bit historical, it is comfortable and spacious. The corridor is like a museum with many cultural relics for viewing. This time I booked a Japanese-style room with a bath. The tatami was very comfortable, the bath was also very nice, dinner was traditional Japanese food with beautiful menu paper, and it was also a separate room. 

I booked an open-air bath room. The facilities were clean, the staff gave clear instructions, the location was convenient, the kaiseki dinner was delicious, and the breakfast was OK. I recommend it to everyone with 10 points!

This hot spring inn is good if you go to the Qinping area. Convenient location to park your car at the hotel and walk to Nakano Udon School and walk up to Kimbiro Palace. Hygienic and clean, hot spring facilities are good. Breakfast is a buffet. Dinner is Japanese dinner with roast beef and sashimi.

Four rooms for four people are more than enough, the dinner quality is also great, the transportation is convenient, the airport bus is just opposite the gate, and taking a taxi to Kotohira-gu Shrine can save half the journey!

A very large and traditional hot spring hotel with many large hot spring pools. However, you can see the nearby accommodation from the hot springs, which feels strange, as if you will be seen by others, so this design does not guarantee privacy. The room is relatively old-fashioned, but it is clean and tidy. The Kotosan pancakes are delicious. The kaiseki dinner is great, better than many of the ones I have tried before. The overall price is quite reasonable. It is suitable for staying overnight when visiting Kotohira-gu Shrine.

The hotel is large and overall very nice and clean. Dinner is a buffet with drinks, meals are set meals and you can eat as much as you want, and breakfast is a buffet.
