"With so many new luxury boutique hotels emerging in recent years, it had been a long time since I last stayed at a Shangri-La, and I'd even forgotten I was a member. Changchun was the first stop on my Northeast China trip. After doing some online research and considering location and star rating, I chose the pricier Shangri-La over Hampton by Hilton, wondering if its facilities and services might be outdated due to its age.
My worries were completely unfounded. Before my car even pulled up, the concierge was already waiting at the door. The young man at the front desk was very attentive and generously offered a complimentary breakfast. The room was spacious, had a great view, and came with all the expected amenities – exactly what you'd expect from a five-star hotel.
It brought to mind the saying among movie enthusiasts: 'Even an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari.' Similarly, I'd say, 'Even an old Shangri-La is still a Shangri-La.'
P.S. The welcome snack was a bit meager and could use some improvement.
Next time I'm in Changchun, I'll definitely stay here again!"

"This hotel absolutely deserves a glowing, detailed review. I had originally planned to spend New Year's Eve here, but unfortunately, I contracted COVID. Despite having a confirmed reservation, the hotel staff cancelled it for me without any hesitation, which I truly appreciated.
This time, I made sure to stay. Arriving was easy: from Changchun Station, Light Rail Line 4 brought me directly to Haikou Station. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and offered a complimentary upgrade to a Superior King Room.
The room itself was incredibly spacious, and fresh fruit was delivered daily. Its location right next to the Yitong River was perfect for relaxing evening strolls after dinner and invigorating morning runs. Breakfast was also delicious, and for dinner, the hotel provides both Chinese and Japanese buffet options."

"The location is good, very near to railway station, subway and buses to all attractions.
It is an old hotel, got all the necessary amenities, including washing machines and fryers. The towels need to change because they are all turned yellowish and old.
The breakfast they provide has variety choices. Thumbs up."

"I went there for my wife’s birthday. Just to give her a relax time. Partly it was a disaster the room cards were not working properly I had to ask them twice to change them. I parked my bike outside the hotel and the guards moved it and wrote a note me that I can’t park there in the hotels parking area. The staff of the hotel have no control over their own parking space. I felt it’ was really discriminating and partially racist. The room was extremely hot and the AC doesn’t work to make it cool. They had to provided fans and it was loud and uncomfortable to sleep. but the hotel tried to make up for what happened apologized. I appreciate the apology. But being one of the best branded hotels I expected better. I have stayed in holiday inn many times and this was so far the most unpleasant stay. I did tell the hotel staff my review of the hotel won’t be pleasant and they said it’s ok so guess they didn’t care about much what happened."

Environment: It is located in the CBD. The surrounding environment is obviously better than the old town in the city. It is not expensive to get to the city. There are large shopping malls around and the food choices are quite good.
Service: A lady named Wei on the 23rd floor impressed me deeply. She brought my forgotten items after changing rooms. Thank you.
My child has been at Changchun University for four years and there is still a chance to come again.

The rooms were spacious, bright, and well-equipped. The incredibly soft and comfortable beds ensured a perfect night's sleep. The staff were warm, thoughtful, and always prompt in addressing our needs. Being centrally located, it was incredibly convenient for exploring the city, shopping, and enjoying delicious local food. "Booked for the leader, the room was very clean, the transportation was convenient, the environment was warm and comfortable, the front desk staff arranged an upgrade, Xiaoyu was very attentive, because the annual meeting was also booked here, the leader was very satisfied in all aspects. "The hotel has quite complete facilities. There is a self-service laundry room on the sixth floor and a fitness center on the second floor.
The decoration style of the room tends to be simple and youthful, mainly in light colors, light and bright.
Deer logos can be found everywhere in the hotel, which may be related to the style of the hotel, which is quite elegant.
When checking in and out, the front desk staff was also very considerate. They told me that spring in the northeast is a bit chilly and poured me a cup of hot tea. When I left, the boys and girls at the front desk were also very talkative, which really made people feel the enthusiasm of the people of Changchun.
