I didn't get off to a good experience as the WiFi signal was poor and the room floor and corridor outside were dirty. If you don't have a car the area is very polluted to walk in as it's on a motorway and very built up but there is a nice garden outside to relax in. I had booked a King size bed for my partner and I. When we checked in the receptionist asked if we wanted 2 twin beds. I told him we want to keep the king size bed. He looked at us awkwardly and gave us our keys. Once in the room the temperature was 26 degrees celsius and the AC didn’t work, we informed the receptionist and he told us that AC is shut off in the winter so he told us to sleep with the window open. The noise from the street didn’t let us rest. Moreover after breakfast we had a female staff follow us to the room and she waited outside and followed us to the reception like we are going to run away without paying. I asked for an invoice and she said she’ll email it which never happened even after I emailed them twice reminding them. I escalated the matter to IHG corporate and they promised me they will investigate and document everything that happened.
