+The location was really nice, very serene with lots of mountains surrounding the ryokan; +Relatively easy to access (pretty far from Osaka, but close to the train station); +Staff speaks English, so you shouldn't have issues with communication; +They have a lot of instructions/maps/manuals on how to fully enjoy the ryokan, so you shouldn't have trouble figuring out the basics. ~Food was mostly ok, nothing bad or spectacular, good portions; ~Although they do have some SPA elements, it's really not a lot (basically nothing except hot springs and massage) -It's certainly on the older side (not in the sense of it being particularly historical, rather that it would benefit from some renovations), but maybe that adds to the ambiance for some people; -The actual inn territory is rather small, so you won't have much to explore without going outside. Overall, I think it's a good first ryokan to familiarize yourself with the culture a bit, but I wouldn't necessarily refer to it as particularly impressive/authentic experience.

Very unique experience, totally worth it. Great hospitality, old traditional building, tasty complete kaiseki and breakfast included. Quiet enviroment around hotel, even bamboo forest. I'd stay for 2 nights instead of 1 to rest completely.

All facilities were clean and easy-to-use for foreign visitors.

The room I booked was Sakura, which was quite big and had two rooms, with a separate washbasin and toilet, but no shower room. The hotel only had one public indoor hot spring, which was very hot for some reason, so hot that I couldn't sit in it, but I could stand in it for 10 seconds. I had a night and two meals, and the dinner was a seasonal kaiseki meal, 11 courses. The first six courses were quite good, but there was no wagyu beef, only fish, duck, or abalone. The view from the second floor was great, but it was very close to the station and a little noisy at night. The main thing was that the people upstairs were even noisier, laughing and joking until 12 o'clock in the evening, and I was woken up by the people upstairs or next door at 6 o'clock in the morning.

Very beautiful and authentic ryokan, less than a minute's walk from the station (no problem with a suitcase). Lots of beautiful locations for photos in the garden and near the village. The onsen is open 24 hours, we managed to go in the evening and early in the morning, it is shared, but separate type. 1000% you can go!

The 13th anniversary of our marriage is coming soon. My husband and I arranged this Japanese hot spring tour. The hotel environment is in the mountains. There is a Nankai line next door. The station is called Tianjian. The hotel is called Nantianyuan in the local area. The service staff are very polite, but the second day's dinner is beef hot pot. The hotel provides sour soup and peanut sauce. When I wanted a raw egg, I waited until the end but it didn't come. I was just told that dinner was over. As for accommodation, we booked a Japanese room. There is no toilet and washbasin inside. You need to go to a public place. There is no private bath here. You need to go to the public bath. Men and women are separated but not big. Foreigners are arranged to go to the bath after 10 pm. The hotel does not provide lunch on the second day. We went to a restaurant called Kyuuemon recommended by the hotel. The courtyard environment is very good. There are cats but they don't pay much attention to people. The food is good. The dishes are served one by one. The quantity is small. It combines Japanese and French. The price is reasonable. In addition, there is afternoon tea and dessert after 2 o'clock, but it is a bit far from the hotel. It takes about 1 kilometer. In general, it is general, there is nothing outstanding, and I will not come again next time.

A very beautiful and old Japanese hot spring hotel, surrounded by green mountains, with hot springs in the hotel, and flowers and various plants planted next to it. The air is fresh in the morning, and the breakfast and dinner prepared every day are really a blessing. I have to say that the service of this hotel is absolutely first-class, and there is a JR station right outside, so it is very convenient to travel.

It's a quiet, pretty, and friendly place. The dinner was great, and the breakfast was neat and pretty. It's a place where you can heal.

Everything met my expectations. The house is historic but well maintained and all facilities are very convenient to use. In the embrace of nature, it is worth staying for a while to explore the surroundings.

Very close to the metro station. There is a hot spring, but really no smell or color, just hot water. Kaiseki is varied, but not too much, although we ate our fill! Beautiful garden. Beautiful inside, although the furniture is a bit old.

We were not familiar with the road and it felt so far away, but with GPS navigation, we arrived at the hotel very quickly! I notified the hotel by email on the way, and when I arrived at the hotel, it was already 7:30 pm.
