It was first bad hotel experience booking thru trip.com. Traveled with 2 kids under 13. We drove to Kaoshiung from Taipei. Arrived late night. There's no parking lot provided but have to park somewhere 3 walk at a opposite the hotel. Paid TWD100 per entry on the following day before leaving. The hotel looks good at the public areas, except our room. We were given a room at 6th floor. It looks like under construction and no other guests were staying on that floor. If we were not 4 together, I dare not stay alone. What was disappointed was the room is very very old. Everything old style. The carpet is dirty. We have to wear the paper slippers (the worst hotel slipperstgat I had ever seen) to walk on the carpet. We tried to push a bed to the side to the wall, but the floor under the bed is very dirty, even found a plastic slipper (not a pair). We guessed it was left by the previous guest and the room was not totally cleaned. We quickly put the bed back. The shower pipe also not very well working and weak power water. Quite disappointed. 2 Good points: 1. The hotel is near to the night market: It's just 3~5 mins walk from hotel. 2. The breakfast was quite good.

I am surprised that Hu House is in a good location actually it is perfect for those who love to roam around the city and eat at night markets because the bus stop is just right next to the hotel and the night market is just at the back of the hotel! We really enjoyed our stay! My kids loved the big bed and the bath tub. The people working in the hotel were all friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is also 😊 good! Thanks Hu House 😀

The service is excellent. Easy and smooth without any issues for check-in. The location is excellent as well as it is near to the LiuHe Night Market, Formosa and Kaohsiung MRT stations. It is Good 👍 and highly recommended.

Great location, very near night market, 5 mins walk distance. Room is spacious and clean with 2 double beds. Although do note the water heater takes a while to heat up. Forgot is it turn to the left or right for shower handle. Best to check with reception. Advise to turn on the water and go brush teeth while you wait for it to heat up.

Location is closed to subway station walked 5mins from the next exit. Walk around 10 mins then you can buy good Taiwan tea.

Nice room with breakfast in good location near metro.

Room was spacious and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food served at breakfast was pretty good, good decent variety even for vegans, they had plenty of vegetable options. Overall location is also good; it’s right across a large grocery store and a bus stop is within walking distance (around 5mins). Very convenient for us.

Room is a bit old but quite clean in overall. Good for short stay.

Location is great, located in between Formosa Boulevard Station and Kaohsiung station. It's within walkable distance to Liouhe Nightmarket. You can get around the city by Youbike which is very convenient. The staffs were not very friendly but they did their job. Breakfast was not good so I didn't go on my second morning but just to have a coffee. The hotel is clean, it is just quite old, but the room is very spacious.

Booked double room but hotel arranged family with kids room instead claiming it is the same room type but with kids room decorations. If rooms were fully booked hotel shall never took in booking and arranged other room types in a way forcing room guests to accept. I would not choose this hotel as it is just the building which looks new the room itself is not the room type we paid for.

Really enjoyed the stay~ Rooms on floor 6-10 are a bit older, but usable. Some rooms have carpets, others don’t. Rooms on floors 11 and above are much nicer because they’re newly renovated. As of Jan 1st, 2025, hotels no longer provide toiletries, so please bring your own! I have to say, the breakfast and location is the most attractive part of this hotel. They have such a wide variety of veggies, both cooked and raw. Lots of sprouts! Location is decent~ quite close to LiuHe night market and walking distance from Formosa station and Kaohsiung Station. Overall, nice stay :)

Pros -Great location and big room -Nice and professional front desk -Great water pressure and stable heat Cons -Super old -only the lobby and outside has been renovated. The rooms look at least 40 years old. -the toilet doesn’t flush properly -not enough power outlets -cannot control the AC -not many international TV channel options -could have more pillows -

Nice location with metro station and night market nearby.Also spacious hotel room layout with useful furnitures , easy to open luggage and hang clothes.

Within walking to distance to train station. Also walking distance to night market.
