The hotel is generally nice, there is a good swimming pool, a gym and even a squash court, but there are big BUTs, due to which we will definitely not return to this hotel. The rooms are nice, but quite old, in the room and bathroom you can see that the wood is already worn out, and the plumbing is already very worn out. In Kandy, a 10% service charge and 30% taxes are added on top. The final cost will be very different from the price in the price list. We spent more on dinner in this hotel than in all the other 5-star hotels on the island, which were much higher in terms of service for the same price of the room. The staff further spoils the impression of staying at the hotel: everyone is just waiting for tips, they are expected for any movement and are not happy at all if they receive less than they expected; many give hotel business cards with their name and ask to leave a good review about them.
