Great place! Just outside the gate to the ancient city, away from the tourist crowds but still close to restaurants. Staff was very helpful. Has a lovely courtyard with beautiful plants. My favourite stay this far on my China trip! Would 100% come again. If you’re looking for a peaceful place I highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful homestay, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! The place was impeccably clean and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The warm welcome I received made my experience even more special. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed. Their hospitality really set the tone for a relaxing getaway.

The roads in the ancient town are narrow and crowded. We missed the intersection and had a difficult time turning back, so we ended up driving around and parking far away. We were already feeling exhausted after arriving at the hotel, but the host was incredibly welcoming and eager to help us with our luggage. He even took my husband out for a walk and found an easier way to park in the courtyard. The B&B was incredibly clean, with lots of plants. From the bed, you could see the courtyard and the distant mountains. After two days, we couldn't bear to leave and stayed another two days. The welcome oranges were incredibly sweet. The wild mushroom fried rice and accompanying side dishes made by the host's mother were incredibly delicious. The barbecue the host recommended was incredibly cost-effective, and the host's latte was also incredibly delicious. 😄 We had mushroom and chicken hotpot, glazed tofu, fished, and even got caught in the rain. We visited nearby villages and watched the Torch Festival. Word count is limited, so please experience it for yourself!

Good, the boss and his family are very welcoming. The boss must be a Xiaomi fan. The room is equipped with a Xiaomi TV, Xiaomi kettle, Xiaomi humidifier, and Xiaomi hair dryer.

The boss and his family are very welcoming and make their own coffee☕️👍🏻👍🏻 Welcome fruit is provided upon arrival; if you follow the restaurant recommended by the boss, you will never go wrong! “Parking is very convenient, right in the yard! It’s only a few steps away from the ancient town! It’s so comfortable to bask in the sun with a few friends in the yard, drinking tea 🍵 or coffee ☕️!” Unfortunately the bed was a little narrow and the mattress a little soft!

Environment: Located within the ancient town, it's very convenient for exploring. It's a pleasant place to stop and walk in the evening. The courtyard is filled with succulents and a table for relaxing. Facilities: The room received direct sunlight in the afternoon, which I loved. There were also toilet paper towels, a Xiaomi kettle, and a humidifier in the room. The shower didn't have a separate wet and dry area, but it was still okay. Service: Fruit was provided upon check-in. The staff were very friendly, including assistance with luggage and plenty of mineral water.

Great stay, quiet and well located, large and comfortable room. The very friendly host helped us find where to rent bikes and reserve the van for the rest of the trip.

The room was not bad. It was upgraded because it was off-season. Because I got up late and did not book breakfast in advance, the landlady cooked wonton and eggs for me. The service was super good. The B&B is quiet and it is very convenient to walk to the ancient city. I will recommend it to my friends~

The room is very close to the ancient town, only five minutes away. Compared with living in the ancient town, the price/performance ratio is still very high. The owner's attitude is also very good, and the facilities are complete. Shaxi Ancient Town is sparsely populated, quiet, and quaint. It is worth a visit.

The B&B is in a superior and comfortable location, clean and sanitary, and the courtyard has an exquisite layout. It has its own courtyard and free parking service. The host is warm and polite and will answer any questions you have. He will also provide a detailed introduction to local food and attractions and a guide to sightseeing!
