"We had a lovely time staying at Riad dar Medina Land. Staff were fantastic and gave us a warm welcome. Breakfast was great. Great location as well, on a more hidden street but easy to walk to/from the centre and it was nice to be on the quieter side of the Medina at times. Only issue was on the first night there was a double booking so we had to stay in another riad, otherwise all good and even this situation was dealt with nicely. Would recommend staying here!"

"Sorry for the long review, but I wanted to be as informative as possible and share the information I would have liked to know before booking. This was my 5th trip to Marrakesh and my first stay at Savoy Le Grand. I was quite nervous booking after reading some negative reviews, but overall I had a very pleasant experience. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by Salah (concierge) and the Moroccan tea man in reception. From check-in to check-out (4 days later), all staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke Arabic, French, and English, which made communication very easy. The foyer is beautiful, and the grounds are extremely well cared for—even more beautiful than expected. That said, there is ongoing construction and upgrades, which are not mentioned on the website. This is currently their quiet season, and the main construction is above the reception building, which is being extended upwards. Noise started daily around 9:15am, drilling around 9:38am, and finished around 6:30pm. Estimated completion is 1 May 2026. If you request a room near the second smaller pool, the noise is much less noticeable. The noise is louder and echoes more around the main pool due to the square layout. The hotel has four pools: two outdoor and two indoor. One indoor pool is heated and includes jacuzzi jets. There is also an additional indoor jacuzzi at the spa, charged at MAD 250 per person for one hour. There are three à la carte restaurants on site: Moroccan, International, and Italian. Directly outside the hotel are a supermarket, Paul, Chilli’s, and Papa John’s. Please note that outside food is not allowed inside the hotel. There is an ATM in reception and direct access to Menara Mall, which closes at 10pm. Special thanks to Nabil at reception, who did an excellent job checking us in. He listened carefully to my needs and arranged early check-in to a ground-floor room close to the restaurants, spa, and gym, with a garden and pool view. Soundproofing from the pool area was good, although hallway noise does travel. The grounds are beautiful, but the ground-floor rooms occasionally had a sewage smell, which I’ve also experienced at other Moroccan hotels. We did experience a few issues with our first room (heating not working, leaking fridge, slow-draining sink). Without us needing to complain, Soukayna from guest relations came first thing the next morning and immediately arranged for us to move to a beautiful suite. This level of customer service, care, and attentiveness is exactly what you expect from a 5-star hotel. In the evening there’s live entertainment music in the bar and outside a light & water fountain display. The suite was stunning—very spacious, with a separate living area, two balconies, lots of storage, mini fridge, large sofa, king-size bed, two TVs, kettle, coffee machine, safe, bathrobes and slippers. The bathroom had two sinks (standard rooms have one), plenty of toiletries (no washcloths), a large shower with both handheld and waterfall options, and excellent water pressure. There wasn’t much space to hang items, and there is a bidet hose beside the toilet. Thank you to the head cleaning lady for the final touches and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. I’d like to thank all the staff for providing us with a wonderful stay. I love the Moroccan people—they are humble, kind, and always willing to help. Despite the construction, I achieved my goal of relaxation and a short break. This is now my new favourite hotel in Marrakesh, and I will definitely return and recommend it to friends and family"

"Just in the ancient city of Marrakech, the Moroccan characteristic homestay, the staff and the boss are very friendly, except for the small room, other aspects are very good. Facilities need to be improved. Recommended stay"

"We stayed here for three nights. They are different rooms. I first arrived in Marrakech on the first night, because I had to go to the desert for three days in the morning, so I slept in a hurry. After three days, I came back to live in an exquisite room. On the third day, the boss helped us upgrade to the best suite. Finally I can enjoy and see the hotel. The boss and the hosted Joseph were very enthusiastic. Although the hotel was lost for the first time in the alleys of the city center, it was familiar with the feeling of coming back to the hotel and feeling at home. I put a few pictures and a small video, I think everyone will be more clear. I really like the colors of Morocco and the style of RIAD. ."

"We absolutely loved the riad! The welcome was excellent; they explained everything and marked places to visit on a map. Everything was within walking distance. They even met us at the parking lot and helped with our luggage. The location in the old city is perfect. The staff were fantastic! Everyone was so friendly, a big thank you and keep up the great work!"

"Außergewöhnliches Hotel im traditionellen Stil und marokkanischen Design mit wundervollem Garten und tollen Pools (insbesondere der Warmwasserpool!). Aber natürlich ist das Tigmiza kein modernes Luxushotel, …es wirkt alles etwas staubig und muffig. Vor allem der Fitness „Raum“ war echt kein Highlight: ein Laufband, ein Stepper, ein Basic Hometrainer-Bike. Die Isomatten und Hanteln staubbedeckt-klebrig und ohne Handtücher kaum benutzbar. Dennoch haben wir den Aufenthalt gut genießen können, denn wir hatten uns von vornherein darauf eingestellt - und Marrakech beinhaltet traditionell nun mal Staub! Daraus ergibt sich vielleicht der besondere Flair. Das Personal war überaus zuvorkommend und bemüht, das Frühstück lecker und vielseitig! Wer also das traditionelle Ambiente liebt und etwas Staub und old-fashioned Style toleriert, der kann im Tigmiza eine gute Zeit haben!"

"1. They don't remove used dishes at breakfast. 2. They don't replace used kits (dental and shaving) 3. They don't have their own branded car. They come by calling an economy class taxi. 4. They mixed up all the massages in the SPA, but the SPA itself is good."

"I got an upgrade to a larger room, it was gigantic. Massive bed and bathroom, 2 balconies, TV, fridge, desk and 2 sofas (they were quite low though, like futons). The staff at reception were brilliant. As it is a boutique hotel there aren't many rooms, so breakfast was very basic. I was unwell, the staff let me check out at 2pm for free, which was much appreciated."

"Good room with sufficient space and nice balcony. Breakfast with sufficient options and fresh made omelettes (if you wish). Service at front desk really pleasant. The location is about a 10 minute walk from the main square. Only thing I didn't like was that some of the staff walk with you and try to persuade you to come along and visit the shops of their friends. Maybe the Moroccan way, but far from professional."
