It is (probably) the only youth hostel in the Shuzenji scenic area. It is very friendly and cost-effective for backpackers. It takes about 5 minutes to walk out of the station, which is very convenient. The bed is really comfortable, and the overall environment is very clean. There are hot springs, Japanese restaurants, and cafes nearby, so it's easy to find a lot of money. There are also parks where you can see flowers, fireflies, maple leaves, and plum trees (depending on the season). The only drawback is that the youth hostel is No meals are provided, so you need to go out to find food, but it's not a big problem. The youth hostel is located in Nakaizu. Basically, every time you go to other places, you have to transfer from Shuzenji Onsen Station to Shuzenji Station (self-driving can be ignored), and then take the bus/train. You have to plan the time by yourself. Pay attention to the last bus. You can ask for advice at the station. The timetable available at the station is more accurate than Google Maps.

I think it would be a great place to stay in Shuzenji hot spring town by yourself... I couldn't make a ryokan reservation because I was in a hurry, but luckily I think I found a good place to stay. The room was very small and had an attic feel, and there was a lounge, kitchen and dining area so I could rest comfortably. Highly recommended if you visit the hot spring village alone👍It felt strange because it felt like an old Japanese-style two-story house renovated. Yukatas were also available for rental. The public bathhouse feels a bit old, so if you want to experience hot spring bathing, try using the Shuzenji public hot spring bath.

The owner is also kind. The room was great too. Very cozy. The atmosphere of the accommodation is also attractive due to its Japanese style. Laundry is available and the kitchen is well equipped. The owner is just nice. They also recommend nearby onsen, so be sure to ask.

The room was very clean and the receptionist was very nice! It is also very close to Shuzenji Temple. Highly recommended!
