Location: Perfect as middle of Cameron. Easy to access Mall and variety of foods.
Service: Firstly, the owner or management gave wrong location. Secondly, the key was located on P1 post box but lift at P2. Thirdly, at Lift B got 1 lift only, need to wait for very long to go to Homestay.
Cleanliness: No complaint on it.
Facilities: All good as the management prepared food amenities with fridge, cooker and electric stove. Other than that bed and room amenities perfect but the Entertainment system sucks, the TV useless for Indians as only got 1 channel to access other than that the TV and Room Fan remotes malfunctions. The balcony table is not there as on example.
Anyway, i loved the location with surrounding entertaining areas and view from the balcony and window.

Beautiful hotel and large room. All staff are friendly. Breakfast is nice but limited menu. There are few things that I would like to mention which could be improved
We were not given welcome drinks and towel while we are waiting for the rooms to be ready. When our rooms are ready we saw others getting their welcome drinks and towels.
First day breakfast, ordered an American classic and a highland omelette. We choose highland omelette because it does not have beef. My wife cannot eat beef due to religion. We were served 2 sets of American classic both have beef.
2nd day breakfast, I ordered Highland omelette again. This time I told the server No BEEF, he said highland omelette has no beef. Then came another American classic with beef. If they do not serve Highland omelette then it should be taken off from the menu so will not cause misunderstanding. It’s rather annoying when we just wanted an omelette and no beef. Both days came with beef.
Other than the confusion at breakfast area. Everything else is perfect.

Everything was ok but the down side was breakfast not same as last year. Many menu was taken out from the list. Now only limited choice of breakfast.
Additionally, there is no drinking water bottle provided in the room. It's been pleasure if there are provided.

I rode in from the rain ＞ asked for early check-in ＞ Receptionist called me a 115pm to let me know room was ready.
Managed to keep my stuff with bellboy whilst I went out to find breakfast and wait for room check-in
Bellboy helped bring my stuff to the room.
200RM deposit was returned to me in denominations of 50, when I had used 2 x 100RM notes ＞ I requested for this back and receptionist had to get manager approval before returning 2 x 100RM to me.
Can borrow umbrella from lobby if it's raining.
Facilties:
Bathtub is kids size, not adult size.
no massage services.
Carpark ＞ no motorbike parking lots.
Parking:
I ended up parking my Ducati Diavel Carbon, FBL 747S, in basement carpark cos security guard did not let me park outside lobby. (Even though Ducati Club Singapore managed to park there in May 2024 as well as open carpark lots below)
However later in the day, Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, FBG 38G, was allowed to park there.
Security guard said rider is from Kings Motorcycle Club ＞ I told security guard that Kings MC only rides harleys.
Security guard then says rider is VIP, and his boss approved the parking.
I questioned the receptionist ＞ they referred me to security ＞ I told receptionist what security said and receptionist could not do anything.
The rider left the next morning; I was having breakfast at the outdoor seating, could hear him start the bike, let the bike warm up, before riding off. (so ”noise” is not a valid reason for not parking there)
I came back to my motorbike to find it covered in dust and fluff, cos it was 7m away from the laundromat (I parked here cos there was another motorbike here and there are no motorbike lots in the basement carpark)
The whole reason for parking somewhere visible and in line of sight of Security, is for the security of the motorycycle. (There is a notice in the basement carpark that states parking at carpark is responsibility of owner, not the premises)
Breakfast: good spread and variety.

AAnonymous UserHad a great time at this boutique hotel. It’s relatively new and adopt a very interesting design concept. They only have 10 rooms I think. The landscaping around the hotel was really nice. The location of this place is in Tanah Rata, so it’s not as crowded as Brinchang, also it’s not as congested in terms of traffic. You only get one car park per room. It’s situated right at the end of the street, quite secluded and very private.
There’s no one waiting during check in, basically, you text a number and someone comes out to give you keys to your room and ask for breakfast selection for the following morning. All communication was done through the WhatsApp. We also asked for extra towels and shampoo, owners were very courteous and generous.
Felt very safe for my family with young children could just roam around freely. In terms of amenities, there’s no swimming pool or gym facilities. But there’s a place to do bbq and gather in the common area. They give you the auto gate lock if you were to drive out and come back late at night, you can allow yourself in and lock the gate yourself.
In the morning you can hear very loud bird chirping. The air was very fresh! But we were awoken by the loud noise of grass trimming from next door, some government office. There’s also a dormitory next door and you can hear evening prayers.
Nearby, there’s a lot of shops and restaurants whereby you will find no problems settling your meals, about 5 mins walk down to the Main Street.
Just a few things to note :
- There’s a lot of stairs and if you have elderly in your entourage, it is not very convenient getting to the room. You may ask for ground floor rooms of course. The stairs worked super well for my children though, they just enjoyed going up and down so much!
- We booked loft rooms. The toilet and bath tub is located next to the main door. It’s open concept, meaning if you were to take a shower at night or go to toilet, it’s going to be cold.
- The beds are on the top floor, so if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night, you have to walk down the stairs.
- The bathtub and shower design is not so convenient for young children or elderly.
- Breakfast comes in very cute tiffin boxes. They place it outside your door around 8 plus. However, I always couldn’t catch their delivery on time, and most times the food is rather cold already.
Overall, I still enjoyed my stay very much. I think would very suitable for young couples, and groups of young travelers.

Rupanya tuan dia renovate jadikan homestay bygkan ada 10+ kot tak ingat dah... Lokasi homestay ni dekat giloss dgn pasar mlm.. Sis jalan kaki je dgn ank sedare pegi.. . Sekali imbas je jumpa owner dia.. Baik betul ramah je aunty..(cantik mcm pelakon Hindustan tau) btw ada 3 tingkat.. Kami dot tingkat atas sekali.. Fuhh.. Memula dok pikirkan mak cane nak naik ni.. Skali ade lif gais.. Mcm saye ngn ank sedara turun pakai tangga je.. Bilik saye ada 2 bilik and katil ada 7 gaiss..ibarat mcm sebuah apartment laa.. Pastu ada byk Bantal pulak tu..kami berempat je.. Toilet pulak ada asing utk yak2 dan mandi.. Dua2 toilet boleh mandi dgn heater... Siap ada sinki kt luar.. Dapor dia pulak ada mikrowave, peti ais 1 pintu, cerek, dapor elektrik dannnn ada periuk segala lah.. Cukup lengkap oii.. Pastu ada balkoni skali...tuala disediakn ye gaisss...ruang tamu ada sofa yg selesa.. Ada tv dan ada wifi.. So.. Anak2 korang tak bosan walaupun xde pool..😬 Pastu.. Oppss lupe.. Nanti ms check in diorg akan mtk depo Rm100 refund balik incase rumah diorg cantik mcm biasa.. 😅 Cuma dalam bilik 1 tu ade kipas.. Lg 1 xde kipas.. Patut ada jgk sbb ada time dia mcm rasa haba berkuap sikit.. Tp overall ok je.. Dan lg 1 mybe pihak homestay boleh sediakn alas kaki dan selipar.. Sejuk oo.. Staycation: Rovers Inn Guest House Tanah Rata Cameron.
Room type: Quadraple room for 2 adult 2 kids. No breakfast ya... can go out for eat or can ”tapaw” nearby and santai² makan outside lobby area. Can go down and make ur tea @ coffee for free of charges. Got quite hour 11pm-7am. However you can go anywhere you want. Given entrance door key in case you come back late night.

GGermaineLocation wise, the hotel is situated at the mouth of Ringlet. It is a good 30min drive to shops and eateries so unless you are prepared to brave 30min (or more on a busy day) on windy roads upwards (and another 30min back to hotel therafter), you may have to think twice. It was becos of this factor, our family of 5 decided to just spend the entire day in the hotel.
Food at the restaurant in the hotel was pretty decent. A Malaysian chicken curry rice will set you back RM60, so just to let you in on the prices.
The hotel is well kept and the rooms are generally clean. I booked the family room and am impressed by its size, cleanliness. Sheets are clean and room is well-made. Like the simple touches added by the hotel, eg, towels are lightly rose scented, essential oil candle lamps in the rooms. Mattress was really comfortable and the husband enjoyed a good night's rest. Our room came with breakfast the next morning. Breakfast is semi-buffet- pick a main from menu, whilst cheeses, muffins and variety of staples are free flow. A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is complimentary - that was the best perk me up for me.
We were also pleasantly surprised that the hotel washed the guests' cars. Our car was refreshed and ready for the roads again after a night at the Lakehouse.
Though the hotel wasn't my first choice initially but I might just wanna return again. Thank you Lakehouse for making a day's stay a memorable and comfortable one.

And for facilities in the resort are not too many, I thought there would be a strawberry garden or picking activities as the name of the resort ”strawberry park resort” but there is no sign of the strawberry there.
There is no a lot to offer in this resort.
But so far..thats was good resort in cameron highland.

AAnonymous UserLocation is nearby a lot of restaurants and shops. But away from noises. During our stay, there was a festival at a nearby church, so there was a little bit of noise but we were informed about it beforehand. Not much view for the garden room.
It is an old building, thus some parts of the fixtures are worn out mainly in the bathroom area. There was no smell, so plus point.
As for facilities, there are gym, mini indoor playground, garden, library, lounge, and restaurants. The library was only filled with Chinese books. The garden could be maintained better.
The check in and check out process were smooth. When we entered the room, we couldn’t find how to turn on the fan. We called the reception and was told the switch is inside the cabinet (quite high up). Later on, we realised that the mattress and sheets were slippery (when you lie down, you will easily slip down). We informed the reception about it, but they said that that is how the bed is made (3 layers of thin sheets with a blanket) and unfortunately there’s no thick duvet or comforter to cover the slippery mattress. Then we told the housekeeper about it, and he kindly told us that he will provide a mattress sheet. The housekeeper attended to us swiftly and helped to assemble the beddings for us. Very very helpful housekeeper.

But the weather of this place is quite cool or cold, so it will be greater to avoid of being wet much from the floor by having a barrier and the curtain to seperate the area for having bath from the one for face wash basin and toilet basin. GGuest UserWonderful hospitality. Met Mr. Bala. Kind compassionate elderly man. Treated us with special masala tea for my wife and I, and hot milo for my children - at no additional charge. Beautiful view and environment. Excellent food. We enjoyed breakfast, and the candle light dinner. We had to split a spaghetti meal for my two small kids. But the the ”split” meal came as if they were 2 individual meals - the portion was considerably large. Compassionate people. They are not particularly calculative about this. In fact they are very generous and accommodating. The place may seem eerie, the 2-storey chalet a little run down with little sound proofing - you can hear next door conversations. Besides that, this place is so quite, you will notice the buzz in your ears are so loud, it is surreal. Unlike smokehouse hotel and restaurant in tanah rata, Bala's is a wonderful and lasting memory.

Parking boleh parking bawah hotel tapi kalau nak free parking setiap kali nak keluar kena jalan kaki ke lobi Retreat, pastu bru balik basement hotel. Hotel sunyi. Tiada mesin air panas tapi ada cerek dan microwave.Ada hairdyer dalam bilik. Air 2 botol air dan peti ais mini. Bilik 417 ada han... perempuan baju putih..So kalau boleh elakkan bilik ini.

The hotel is very enviroment friendly which is great for clearing your mind and to have a relaxing holiday.The room has a lot of windows that gives you natural lighting and chilled night too.Unfortunately, the toiley does not have bidet but it has a different toilet bowl for cleaning.Besides, there's also not much channel on the tv as well as old fridge, the freezer dosen't work.It was full of ice.Lastly, this hotel is quite strict since you have to book the room according the number of your family members.Example, you have to book a family sized room for family of 4.Will come again for sure because its a very lovely and nice hotel!
