"Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2  weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji."

Fuji at Your Doorstep ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We just returned from a magical four-day stay at Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa, and I am still floating on cloud nine. If you are searching for a place where serenity, cleanliness, and genuine Japanese hospitality collide, stop looking — this is it. The Room & Amenities From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by how impeccably clean everything was. I mean spotless. The room itself is wonderfully spacious, giving us plenty of room to unwind after long days of exploring. But the real showstopper? The private hot bath. Soaking in steaming hot water while gazing out at Mt. Fuji from the comfort of our room was nothing short of therapeutic. And then there is the balcony. Waking up each morning to a full, unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji right from our private terrace felt like a privilege I never wanted to end. Whether it was sunrise painting the peak in soft pink or the mountain standing bold against a clear blue sky, the view alone made every yen worth it. The Host — Above and Beyond The owner is one of those rare people who makes you feel like family from day one. Warm, attentive, and endlessly kind, he ensured our stay was seamless. But what happened on our last day truly sealed this experience as unforgettable. While we were waiting for our bus back to Yokohama, he volunteered to drive us to Yamanakako Myojinyama Panoramadai. I cannot put into words how breathtaking that spot was — a sweeping panorama of Yamanaka Lake shimmering below with the majestic Mt. Fuji rising proudly in the background. It was the kind of view that makes you stop breathing for a second. That he took time out of his day to gift us that moment speaks volumes about the heart behind this villa. Final Thoughts Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa is not just accommodation — it is an experience. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and run by someone who genuinely cares about his guests. We will definitely be coming back, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for the ultimate Fuji getaway. Thank you for the memories, Reitoku. See you again soon."

"Hotel Room: Features a built-in sauna, and offers stunning views of Mount Fuji directly from the room. Fuji appears incredibly large and close to the naked eye. The room decor is very tasteful. Hotel Location: Situated on the lower-left side of Lake Yamanakako on the map. There's a bus stop right outside (though buses are infrequent). Within a 2-minute walk, there's a delicious hamburg steak restaurant. A 7-Eleven is about 5-10 minutes away, and you can rent bicycles near the 7-Eleven (the hotel also offers bike rentals, but they are mountain bikes, not electric, costing 2000 yen per hour or 4000 yen per day). If you walk another 10-15 minutes, you can feed swans in a designated area managed by locals (a family of three needs to buy one portion of swan food for 200 yen). Cycling: From the hotel, it takes about 30-50 minutes to cycle to Hirano no Hama (there are many great photo spots along the way, so you don't necessarily have to go all the way to Hirano no Hama, where the wind is incredibly strong). I recommend cycling clockwise on the map and then returning the same way."

"The hotel has an onsite outdoor and indoor Onsen. Our room is 25sq m and spacious. The layout of the room is separated into sleeping area and entrance with basic amenities. This hotel is supposed to be able to view the beautiful Mr Fuji but because it has been raining and cloudy the past few days, we were not able to see Mt Fuji from this hotel but our room faces the great ocean and that was good. The breakfast spread was great with a wide spread of many varieties.  I was hoping for a late night snack of Hot ramen soup as with many Japanese hotels with Onsen but sadly this hotel don’t provide this service."

"I stayed in a standard room with a Mount Fuji view this time, and it was much more comfortable than I expected. The room size is quite spacious for Japan, the cleanliness was good, and the bed was comfortable. When the weather is clear, you can see Mount Fuji directly from the window, and drawing open the curtains in the morning was truly worth it. The location is also convenient for getting around Lake Yamanaka, and there are self-service electric-assist bicycles at the hotel entrance, with Chinese language support, which is very handy. Communication with the front desk was smooth, and the check-in process was hassle-free. It's perfect for those who want to quietly admire Mount Fuji."

"This stay at the onsen hotel at the foot of Mount Fuji truly exceeded my expectations. Waking up and drawing the curtains, I was greeted by the serene sight of Mount Fuji, shrouded in mist – it was like a beautiful painting. The room was clean and comfortable, instantly putting me at ease. My favorite part was definitely the onsen; soaking in the hot springs while gazing at Mount Fuji really made time feel like it slowed down. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and provided attentive service. Overall, it was a very rejuvenating experience, and I'll definitely be back."

"Since all other room types were unavailable, we stayed in a 6-person room. It was incredibly spacious, and pretty much every room offered an unobstructed view of Mount Fuji (weather permitting). The bathroom was huge and even had a private onsen and a sauna. Each room type came with dinner (BBQ) and breakfast for two. The portions were decent, though don't expect too much from the breakfast. The location is great, very close to Lake Yamanaka's attractions, only about a 10-minute drive away. There's also a fairly large supermarket right next door, just a minute's drive, which was super convenient for restocking. However, due to the glamping site's location, you can't see the sunrise with Mount Fuji in the same frame. I had planned to wake up early to catch the sunrise, but it turns out the sun rises on the opposite side. Overall, aside from being a bit pricey, everything else was perfect. The staff were very nice, and their English communication was excellent."

"Absolutely loved this ryokan! Even though the room only had a toilet and bathing was in the communal bath, it wasn't crowded at all since we visited on a weekday in January. The hot spring was incredibly comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional, not just some afterthought! They were proper Japanese-style meals. For the price, it was an absolute steal! The only downside is that the location is a bit far out, and since we didn't have a car, taking the bus was a bit inconvenient. However, the 30-minute walk to Hirano in the morning to watch the sunrise was absolutely stunning~ Highly recommended!"

"We booked a mountain view room. When we opened the window, we could see a forest. We could barely see Mount Fuji through the gaps in the forest, so we didn't really need to worry about the mountain view or anything else. The quilt looked old, but it was still clean. There is a free hot spring, the pool is not big, and it is on the second floor."

"Was pleasantly surprised that there was van pick up service to bring us up to the hotel from the main road ! This needs to be shared in case anyone avoid booking due to location. The team (driver , recep) all were very friendly and helpful, thank you for the service"
