For this trip to Okinawa, I chose La'Gent Hotel Chatan, and I honestly think it offers incredible value for money! Whether you're a backpacker, a couple, or a group of friends traveling together, this hotel is a perfect fit~
Why do I recommend it?
Its location is superb, within walking distance to Mihama American Village! It's super convenient for dining, shopping, and enjoying the night view~
The rooms and public areas are incredibly clean (really cleaner than I expected 😳), especially the spacious bathroom.
The communal kitchen is very useful, equipped with a fridge, microwave, and tableware, perfect for buying groceries and cooking your own meals~
There's parking available (¥550/night). Although the lot isn't huge, it's first-come, first-served. I recommend getting back early to secure a spot~"

"I took bus 143 from Naha Bus Terminal to the American Village (it was the last stop for this bus, not sure where the actual last stop is) and walked for about 10 minutes to reach the hotel. Since it was before check-in time, I waited in the lobby, where complimentary drinks and cookies were available. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and helped us store our luggage first; the service was excellent. After checking in, we were given an upgraded room, much larger than what we had booked, which was fantastic! American Village at night is beautiful and definitely worth staying for a night."

"The reason to go to this hotel is because it is extremely convenient and has a great view. We came here last year, but it was cheaper last year. We were surprised to learn that the car parking is now something you have to pay, which wasn't the case last year. Seems like a very cheap decision on their part considering the hotel is already pretty expensive. Also be prepared, the room will not be the newest or cleanest. It had a bit of mold on the wall around the AC unit, and the walls needed to be repainted and fixed on some parts."

"We had a fantastic stay in Chatan. The rooms are outdated as most of the hotels in the island but it is very comfortable, spacious and clean. We had to work as well and the internet worked perfectly. Nice balcony with distant sea view, wash machine and a safe were all a plus. It is very close to very nice restaurants and 15 walk to the bus station. We would have liked to stay longer but in the future will always be our place to stay :)"

"We stayed in June and had a truly stellar experience. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful, quickly addressing our every need. All the necessary amenities were available both in the room and the lobby.
Although the complementary breakfast is quite simple (buns etc.), it keeps you full for a long time, with tasty coffee or fresh juice for drinks.
In terms of location, this is one of the best spots in Chatan, allowing you both to explore the island and chill at the seaside. The hotel is sandwiched between two comfortable beaches (one of them in the American Village) white sand and clear water, and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the main Okinawan highway on foot, where you can catch a bus to other parts of the island.
We are immensely grateful to the staff for making this holiday unforgettable and wish the team every success in the future."

"Stayed for one night. The biggest advantage is that it is close to the American Village. You can see the sea directly from the balcony. You can see the entire American Village from the front door.
The disadvantage is that the price is not cheap during holidays, and it is a bit far from the beach. It is an old-fashioned hotel."

"The hotel staff were very polite. Even though it was already evening on our check-in day, they quickly helped us check in. The staff all spoke English, so there was nothing to worry about. The ocean view was right outside the window, and it was truly a comfortable vacation. The room I stayed in was clean enough, but absolutely, absolutely, never open the floor-to-ceiling windows. One night, something kept banging against the window, and it turned out to be a cockroach! It was so scary! Please note, there's no free housekeeping service; you have to leave your trash outside and get a trash bag from the front desk. Having a dryer was super convenient though. 👍👍"

"Great location, right by American Village. There are plenty of American-style food options nearby. Too bad it rained, so we didn't get to explore much. The hotel breakfast catered well to Chinese tastes and was very delicious."

GGuest UserBooked an ocean view room (queen double) in the main building it was awesome. slept with the door open every night listening to the ocean. Bed was very comfortable, nice big room. Breakfast was very comprehensive. Loved the ability to check out the public baths and pools across the various group hotels. Conveniently located in the heat of American Village. Grab a coffee from Zhyvago and go for a walk along the foreshore in either direction.

蘿蘿菈The hotel is in an excellent location, in the first row with sea views. The rooms are very spacious. Although it is an old hotel, it still looks very good overall. Some of the furniture is a little old, but it does not affect the quality of the stay. The shower in particular is great. The hotel provides traditional breakfast, which we are a little uncomfortable with. Overall, the CP value is quite high and it will be included in the options for returning.

AAnonymous UserAll good! Very friendly and helpful host, and room is clean and all facilities are working properly. There are bottle water and beers for sale in the lobby, with reasonable prices - very convenient. And another small thing that I personally found convenient was that - they just put clean towels and disposable chopsticks in the lobby, and we can get at anytime, and no need to wait for house keeping.
A few suggestions though: can add 1-2 cushions for the wooden chair, which will make it more comfortable to sit on; And the blanket was too thick for summer, could’ve been better to provide a thinner option.

EEstherThe hotel was very spacious for me and my 14 year old son. We landed at Naha and took the city bus to the hotel. It was very convenient because the bus stop is literally right next tot he hotel.
My only challenge was getting a taxi because it was my very first time in Japan and I didn’t know there’s a taxi app available. so no one onsite until 10am but i needed to be somewhere by 0830. But they do have have starbucks and Mcdonals within walking distance g distance and American Village was about 15-20 minutes away. I enjoyed my stayed there and I would recommend it to anyone that would like to save more but having a good place to stay.
It had its down washer n dryer in the room, tub was separated from the shower which I absolutely loved it. full kitchen was also in our room.

It was equipped with a kitchen, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, which met the requirements of traveling with children. If you drive, you need to pay extra to park in the parking lot downstairs.

MMa.Marty8Good hostel if you are looking for a place next the majority of diving centers. Around 1h by bus far from Naha. The hostel was clean, great vibes, quiet after 22. Easy to find, check in and out facilitate by the host. Each door has a code, therefore the place feels really safe. Recommended!

GGuest UserGood clean room for the price. Not much staff, but the man working the front was super helpful and helped us get a taxi within minutes on New Year’s Eve! Not many amenities, but who wants to stay at the hotel anyway? Immediately next to several restaurants and walking distance to American Village. It’s also right on the 58.
