"For those driving to Petra, this hotel is arguably the best place to stay. It's conveniently located right across the street from the Petra Visitor Center. In the afternoon, we walked over to explore the Petra Museum. The next morning, we made sure to be among the first group to enter the ancient city right when it opened at 7 AM. This allowed us to avoid the intense sun and enjoy the Siq with very few people, making for an incredibly peaceful experience. The room wasn't large, but it was perfectly sufficient. We received a complimentary box of about five pastries upon check-in, which were quite tasty. We had an early breakfast just after 6 AM, and as mentioned, were among the first to enter Petra at 7 AM. We moved through the site quite efficiently and were back at the hotel by around 11 AM, allowing us a little rest before checking out at 12 PM and heading to our next destination. Also, there are plenty of restaurants near the hotel; a quick search on Google Maps will show many options, and the food quality is generally good."

"Good location (nearby visitors center but on the hill, you need clime The service is not very good: It was the first time when I didn't got information at the reception about breakfast time, spa service, swimm pool, etc. The bath -hot spring was semi-fulled afternoon. The bathrobe was so small The breakfast was ok. Opportunity for the late check out"

"The location of the hotel is absolutely first class. It takes 2 minutes to walk to the entrance of Petra Ancient City. The facilities are a bit old. The terrace on the 5th floor has a good view and you can watch the sunrise in the ancient city. Since there are no tourists, there are really few people."

"My stay in Marriot Petra is beyond my expectations. The location is great, you could see nice views of Petra from the swimming pool in the hotel. Plus the hotel is super quiet and peaceful ❤️ The staff are super kind, friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Mr. Mohammed , the assistant manager in the front office , he is a very kind and friendly person, delivering a great service and kind attitude when interacting with the guest . I would like to recommend this hotel for your Petra stay ."

"This place is sort of a boutique hotel opened by locals and not one of the big chain hotels and it’s location (point 1) is slightly further away from the city centre and it’s located on the hillside and there is no way you can walk there, you definitely need a car to reach this place from Petra Visitor Center ( hence please take a cab ) but it was fine for us as we drove. The price we paid was somewhat expensive ( due to its peak season) but all the hotels nearby were on the high side. Rooms are exceptionally clean and it even smell of freshly laundered sheets, good ventilation and breakfast was decent. We had dinner here as well 20JOD for the buffet dinner per person and it was great on the weekend nights but on a weekday nights the menu offering is much limited. Staff are generally friendly but I was turn off by a cook named Ala’a who was attending the egg station during breakfast on 29 October - not only was he slow ( compared to the cook of the previous day - leading to long wait at the station despite less than 30 people in the breakfast place), he was also rude to guests who didn’t really speak English and even told them when they didn’t clearly place their orders- I was observing and it was really bad taste as he scowl at them and this is only coming from a cook at the eggs station - you need mind your customer service ettiquete especially to foreign guests who makes up most of your revenue. The least you can do is smile and not make your guests feel like feel bad about their language when they are ordering their eggs. "

"Super, super good! 1. The room was clean and tidy, and the Wi-Fi signal was strong. 2. The hotel owner and staff were all fantastic. Upon check-in, the owner said the drinks and snacks in the room were free for us because we were Chinese, and he likes Chinese people. 3. We had a full-day Petra itinerary on our second day. After asking us, the owner said we could have breakfast whenever we wanted, and he would arrange free transportation for us. 4. We told the owner we wanted to leave at 7 am and asked him to prepare two breakfasts takeaway. The owner was very punctual, and the breakfasts were two large, heavy bags containing simple hot dogs, canned meat, five kinds of whole fruits and vegetables, water, drinks, and yogurt. 5. It's worth emphasizing that the entire hotel was extremely punctual, completely different from our experience in Egypt and Jordan over the past few days."

"Great location, right at the entrance of Petra. The hotel feels great after walking out for a day. There are not many people in the hotel, it is quiet, it feels good, and the breakfast is good. The gift bag in the hotel is better than the outside Cheap, the quality is better than the outside, it is worth recommending. In short, this hotel personally thinks that it is the first choice to go to Petra. When people are young, the room has been upgraded and it is good value for money."

"1. Best location for Petra tour & cheap price for location The price of food and accommodation in/around Petra is much more expensive than other places in Jordan. So I considered accommodations located very high up for cheap accommodation, but I was really glad that I ended up choosing Edom Hotel. Even though I walk a lot all day, I get quite tired after visiting Petra. However, I have to walk uphill again to get to the accommodation, and the restaurants and cafes are located below, so it seems difficult to get to and from. Compared to other hotels attached to Edom Hotel, the location is really close, and the star rating is high, but the price is not expensive. I stayed for one day and tried to make a reservation for the next day, but the reservation site said it was full, but the front desk said there was a vacant room, so I could stay for another day. It was much cheaper because I paid directly at the front desk. 2. Good facilities for laundry/slightly old bathroom There is a terrace. It was nice to bring a clothesline and dry my laundry on the terrace. The shower filter that I brought was replaceable, and there was a bathtub so I could step on it and do laundry. However, one of the screws on the hotel toilet lid broke, so I often hit my back on the toilet lid while using the toilet..ㅋㅋ Considering that the facilities of all the hotels within walking distance of Petra are very outdated, this was a decent price for the level. 3. Spacious restaurant & various breakfast menus The restaurant is very large and spacious, so there are many seats. I was able to enjoy breakfast without it being too crowded. When I entered the breakfast room, all the staff I met greeted me brightly, which was very warm. 4. Front desk currency exchange You can exchange money in person at the hotel front desk, and if you don't have change, they will try to help you somehow."

"Amazing camp in the middle of the desert surrounded by towering mountains. The breakfast is an amazing selection and the owners couldn’t be more helpful. It is better to have a car though as taxis to Petra can be quite expensive."
