"Aston Review: I highly recommend everyone visiting Batam to stay at Aston! This is my second time in Batam, and my second stay at this hotel! ❤️ This time (August 29-31) was super busy; the hotel was almost fully booked, and some items at the breakfast buffet weren't replenished quickly enough. I hope the hotel can arrange more staff on weekends to ensure faster replenishment and replacement of food at the breakfast buffet, and more efficient cleaning! ✅ The air conditioning is very cold (when you check in and open the room door, the AC is already on and waiting for you!) ✅ The room is clean, tidy, and very spacious. ✅ There's a swimming pool, a huge gym (you can even train for HYROX!), a sauna, and massage services. ✅ Breakfast offers a very wide and rich selection! Many local Indonesian specialties, almost everything you can think of! ✅ International adapters are available for direct charging. ✅ Many TV channels, including CCTV, Phoenix Satellite TV, Celestial Movies, as well as Korean and Japanese channels. ✅ The bed is huge and incredibly comfortable! ✅ There's a refrigerator, a bathtub 🛁, and a safe. ✅ Very thoughtful! Simple anniversary decorations + a cake (we saw it right when we checked in and opened the door ❤️). ✅ Hotel staff help open doors and carry luggage. ✅ The hotel is right next door (to the right), just a 5-minute walk to Pisang Keju Terowongan – very affordable and freshly baked! Overall, I'm still very satisfied with my second stay! The next time I visit Batam, I will definitely consider staying at Aston again! ❤️"

"The receptionist & staff are friendly and helpful..always smile even though they have a lot of customers need to check in at same time..the staff upgraded my two rooms to deluxe room with bath tub & both are huge..hair dryer & iron are upon request but for iron, the customer can use for 1 hour.. My parents room have stagnant water in the bathroom & the wall also not so clean...my room also having coffee stained at the coffee table...maybe the housekeeping shaould take care more about this. The breakfast is good & having mutiple choices... Overall, my stay with my family at this hotel is awesome.."

"I made a last-minute decision to visit Batam for a 2-day, 1-night trip, so I chose this hotel based on reviews praising its good value for money. As soon as we walked in, the staff were all very warm and welcoming. It's not a huge hotel, but the exterior looks pretty good. It doesn't have a pool, but I'm out and about a lot, so I didn't need one. I opted for breakfast, expecting it to be very simple, but to my surprise, there were quite a few options and the taste wasn't bad. The room was clean, and the view outside the window was nice, though I didn't take any photos. The location is central, making it very convenient to get anywhere. You can just take a Grab. Of course, you can also walk if you don't mind the hot weather, dust, and heavy traffic. I did try walking, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to Grand Batam Mall for shopping. Right next door to the hotel is a Starbucks, and across the street is the famous Tua Pek Kong Temple if you'd like to visit. Since I was hungry, I tried a place across the street that served Ice Cendol and Mee Siam – both were surprisingly delicious!"

"Hotel near to Nagoya Hill also near to restaurant and the famous shop (Alpa Mart & Indo Maret). Just walking distance around 1-3 minutes. Service in hotel very good and statisfied. Clean and aircond so cold. Honestly speaking, the price very affordable with nice room and good service. Will repeat."

"Overall, it was quite an unpleasant experience. 1. Booked a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room. We specifically booked a non-smoking room, and the receptionist clearly confirmed that the room assigned to us was non-smoking. We even signed the T&C agreement. However, we later found out that the room was actually a smoking room. Ridiculous! We ended up staying one night in that room and, thankfully, after making a complaint, the hotel managed to arrange a non-smoking room for us the following day. 2. Avoid booking a connecting room unless you’re travelling with friends or family. The soundproofing between the connecting rooms is really poor. We could easily hear the guests next door talking and laughing loudly, even after midnight. We had already complained to the receptionist, and although they lowered their voices for a while, the noise started again afterwards and we could still hear them clearly. To be fair, there are some positives: 1. Good location 2. Wide variety of breakfast options 3. Comfortable bed and pillows"

"I stayed here during a long public holiday weekend in Singapore, and honestly… don’t expect too much. 😂 I specifically requested a room with two beds, but I got only one bed. I also requested a high floor, but got a low floor instead. So I guess my requests were just suggestions. 😂 The in-room Google device was another story. I tried talking to it, but it seemed to understand absolutely nothing I said. Maybe we were speaking completely different languages. 😂 In the end, I just gave up. I stayed with a friend, so there were two of us in the room. We were given 2 large towels, 1 small towel and 1 bath mat. Honestly, I have no idea what the one small towel was supposed to be for. 😂 For two people, it’s basically useless. Next time, you might as well not give us one — at least we won’t have to figure out how two people are supposed to share one tiny towel. 😂 And then came breakfast… Breakfast was extremely chaotic and crowded. The most ridiculous part was when an auntie literally took our table while my friend and I were getting food. We had already taken the table. We didn’t leave the restaurant or anything — we were literally just a few steps away getting our food. But she came over and sat at our table anyway, as if it was suddenly hers. 😂 The staff saw what happened but basically just stood there and watched. We didn’t argue with her or make a scene. We simply moved to another table because honestly, it wasn’t worth the trouble. 😂 As for the breakfast itself, it wasn’t good, but it was edible. So… I guess that’s something. 😂 Would I recommend this hotel? Only if you come with very low expectations. 😂 If you decide to stay here, I’d recommend NOT booking the room with breakfast included. Sleep in, wake up late, and go somewhere else for lunch. Honestly, you’ll probably have a better experience. Overall, not the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, but definitely not somewhere I’d be excited to come back to. 😂"

"This hotel is connected to Nagoya Hill shopping mall, which is convenient for shopping. There are many massage parlors, barbershops, and beauty salons nearby. After shopping, you can enjoy some relaxation there! The hotel breakfast is very rich, and the staff are friendly and polite. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The price is reasonable, highly recommended!"

"We had a very satisfying stay at I Hotel Baloi. The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy, and we were very happy with our stay. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food to choose from. We also really enjoyed the swimming pool, which was nice and spacious. The location is very convenient, with easy access to nearby shopping, food, and getting around. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely come back again. "Impeccably clean. Outstanding service from Ixxora on front desk. All staff keen to please and professional. They actually seem genuinely happy to be there and to welcome you. As of June 2026, MAXONE Batam offers simply the cleanest and most well maintained rooms in the whole of Kepulauan Riau. No question. The only hotel able to compete with the obsessive cleanliness is their next door neighbour 4 star property adjacent! There are new 5 star hotels on the island where the level of maintenance does not meet the standards set by MAXONE Batam. Highly recommended for leisure travellers who DON'T require pool, gym or breakfast included in the price. What you will get is a sense of luxury and commitment to quality and service excellence. Not recommended for longer stays and business travellers due to poor WiFi stability and shortage of work space / work surfaces in the rooms, that are small and a tight squeeze by Indonesia standards."
