The hotel staff were all friendly, the included breakfast was very good, and the hotel facilities were clean. I was able to enjoy fireworks. If I can go again, I will book here without any conditions.

It was a really great accommodation experience. The old gentleman was very, very nice and considerate. The location is also great. It's not as congested as the city, and it's very convenient to go to the city and the beach. It's a pity that I didn't have the chance to taste the barbecue at the grandfather's house. I look forward to going there next time and staying here again! Great!

What a fantastic find! This is a hotel run by a school, the staff are teachers and students. It’s in an amazing location right by Pile gate and is very easy to find. The rooms are done up to a very high standard as is the whole building. We had breakfast in with our booking and this was also great. Boris runs this like clockwork and is always super friendly and helpful with advice for your trip if needed. The lady on reception (we didn’t catch her name sadly) was also really friendly and helpful and helped us with storing our baggage in a back room as we had a late flight following check out. We went very early season so, at one point, we were the only guests here!
The only niggles (and these are very small!) were that the rooms lack tea and coffee making facilities. We arrived very late when everything was shut and couldn’t even have a cup of tea or coffee. Also maybe a mini fridge in the room? Although we think this was down to fire regulations. The other thing was the breakfast choices were limited, the food was well cooked but it would have been nice to maybe have some pastries too.
We will definitely stay again if we return to Dubrovnik

The room is nice with an outdoor balcony.
The surrounding facilities are good, with a large outdoor swimming pool.
Although it is not in the old town, if you want to go to the old town, you can also take bus line 6, which is a good experience.

Seat 2AAlthough this hotel is situated quite some distance from the Old Town this is not a bad thing at all. Insect I very much appreciated being removed from the thick crowds and noise, and very much enjoyed the peace and tranquility and spectacular sea views from this wonderful resort. Definitely worth paying extra for a c facing room, for breathtaking panoramas day and night.
My room was elegantly decorated and very comfortable, with ample space for everything although a luggage rack or designated space for luggage would enhance overall comfort greatly.
Staff were generally helpful and polite, with special mention to Matija the Restaurant Manager, who, despite handling large volumes of customers, remained unfailingly cheerful and energetic.
The breakfast buffet was very generous by European standards, whilst the dinner buffet selection was also more than adequate and quite good value at 35 Euros per person.
As mentioned in previous reviews, a bus connects the Babin Kuk area (where the Royal Ariston and her neighboring sister hotels, the Royal Princess, Royal Blue, Royal Palm and Neptun are situated) to the Old Town. If you purchase the 40 Euro Dubrovnik City pass, discovers one day worth of this bus travel plus access to the city walls and its museums.
Cannot recommend this resort highly enough and look forward to my return.

NatthenutterI have no idea why this hotel is only 3☆
It's an outstanding hotel!
I can't fault it.
This hotel is fantastic! It's location is great, it's clean and has a beautiful beach.
As a solo traveller, I felt very safe in this hotel.
There was so much variety for breakfast that I didn't know where to start. This included hams, cheeses, bread, fruits, meats/ sausages, eggs, yoghurts, coffee machines, etc.
All the staff were very helpful (including my lovely cleaner, thank you cleaner, you're a star!).
My room was a single room, it was just right for me it had a beautiful woods/slight sea view and the shower was amazing, probably the best shower I've ever had staying in different hotels.
My room was clean & comfortable.
The hotel is opposite the bus stop, which takes you to Old Town (bus 4) and many different places (€2.50 return or cheaper).
There were 2 little shops nearby, but I found Tommy's Hypermarket, which had most things a foreigner needs & it was just down the road (just put in google maps Tommy's hypermarket) it was literally a 10min walk, so easy & simple to find.
I am super impressed with this hotel & I would highly recommend it(& I'd easily go back there).
I wish people would stop complaining about the hotel not having lifts smh, learn to use your legs, it's not difficult!
Although my stay was short (6nights) I loved every minute of it.

Anonymous UserThe location was excellent—just a short walk from Pile Gate, making it very convenient for exploring Dubrovnik’s Old Town. However, I would not recommend bringing large luggage, as you’ll need to drag it up ramps with several steps and then carry it up the stairs to the room. Our room was on what Europeans refer to as the second floor, which would be considered the third floor in many other countries.
On our second day, someone unexpectedly opened our room while we were inside. We later found out that the cleaner had mistakenly thought we were checking out and had confused our room with another one. While it was an honest mistake, it was unsettling.
We contacted the host immediately because we no longer felt comfortable leaving our valuables in the room. Unfortunately, the safety box key was unavailable. To address our concerns, a staff member came promptly and changed the code to the door lock, which we appreciated.
Another drawback was the Wi-Fi connection, which was noticeably slow during our stay. Although it wasn’t a major issue for us, it could be inconvenient for guests who need a stable connection for work or communication.
All in all, the location was fantastic, and the staff responded quickly to our concerns. However, installing an interior lock, improving the Wi-Fi connection, and ensuring that staff verify the room status before entering would greatly improve guests’ overall experience and sense of security.

Kash AshWe stayed at this apartment during our visit to Dubrovnik. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality from the owner, although there were a few things worth noting.
The apartment was clean and well stocked with basic kitchen essentials. It had pans, plenty of cutlery, salt, coffee, milk, and other small items that made self-catering convenient. There were also brochures for boat trips, city tours, and other local attractions, which were helpful for planning our stay.
The standout feature was the owner. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Even though we arrived late, she was available by phone, responded quickly to every question, and did her best to guide us with parking and check-in. Her helpfulness made the experience much smoother.
The main downside was parking. There is no convenient parking nearby, and finding a place to leave the car was quite challenging. The apartment is located in what feels like a residential neighbourhood, around a 15-minute drive from Dubrovnik Old Town, so having a car can be both useful and frustrating because of the parking situation.
The apartment also felt more like someone’s home than a serviced hotel apartment. If you’re expecting hotel-style accommodation with dedicated reception or professionally managed facilities, this may not meet those expectations. However, if you’re happy with a simple residential apartment and appreciate a responsive and caring host, it offers good value.
Overall, a clean and practical apartment with an exceptionally helpful host, but be prepared for parking challenges and a more residential experience rather than a hotel-style stay.

This is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area.
There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers.
Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.

The staff were amazing and accomodating 5 stars for them .
I am a seasoned traveler world wide and I have stayed in a lot of 3-4 star places but this one I would rate as a 1.5 star.
I was so disappointed in my room it looked like a run down storage room not like a nice comfortable room like the pictures display at all on the booking site.
There was no air-conditioner as stated in the amenities list, nor was there a TV as stated in the amenities list as both TV and Air-conditioner were not working there was an issue with the room door unlocking it .
Also the bedroom flooring was old and worn carpet that had stains and dried vomit on it.
There is no safe in the bedroom as stated.
There was an air cooler and pedestal fan in the room which only just made it bearable on a hot day and night.
There is no parking if you have a car . There are five flights of narrow stair to climb with luggage. If your on the top floor. There is not lift.
The room has a very much lowered wedge shape wall /ceiling that takes up a lot of room and you can injure your head if your not careful in the dark.
There is no concierge as stated in fact most of what has been stated as the amenities and parking is a big lie as they either don't exist or they don't work.
With what I paid I could gave gotten a better room for the same money somewhere.
The managerr never showed up so I could talk to them about the issues. From what I have read else where in reviews this accomodation is really bad and in my thoughts this place and the owner of this business need a good shake up or shut down as they really don't care about the clients. It just about ripping people off and taking money. I highly recommend not booking this place as it is really bad.
