"The Malone Hotel in Belfast offers newly renovated, large, and modern rooms that are very comfortable and stylish. The self-service breakfast is good with decent variety, and it's within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants along Malone Road and nearby areas. However, while the description mentioned free parking, it's actually 10 GBP per night, which was disappointing; we also had a room close to the elevator, which was noisy at night as we could hear everyone going up and passing our room. Overall, a solid choice for a convenient stay despite the parking hiccup and noise issue."

"I booked this hotel solely because it was advertised as having air-conditioning, which is essential in the summer. We found out at check in that not all rooms have air-conditioning and was given a room without air-conditioning. We subsequently spoke with Reception team and was upgraded to a room with air conditioning, thanks to help from Roland. Please take note when booking if this is an essential requirement for you. "

"I booked this hotel for my Mum so this is her review. She had a great time and loved the hotel. The staff were fantastic especially Muhammed and Sandra in the restaurant. They were so kind and helpful, even found me a teapot and remembered me each day despite having a full hotel of guests! Fab location, very central and easy to get around. Initially my room view was of bins and an alleyway but Leona on reception was so helpful and moved me to the front so I was near my daughter and had a lovely view of City hall. Would def recommend this hotel. The staff make I special And I would def book again! Pics show new room and first room. Just note they have live music Thursday to Sun so the noise can travel up"

"The biggest drawback is its location, which is quite rural, surrounded by nature parks, and small residential towns. On the plus side, the rooms are genuinely spacious. This time, I stayed near the edge of the building, with windows on two sides. One of the windows opens to a view of distant snow-capped mountains 🏔️. Additionally, the soundproofing and cleanliness were excellent. The air control system can be a bit noisy, but once it’s turned off at night, the room is wonderfully quiet. The hotel also features its own gym and swimming pool, which include some classes, a sauna, a steam room, and a hydrotherapy pool. While it can get busy during peak hours, it never felt overcrowded. Many of the club members are local residents, and listening to their amusing banter in the steam room was quite entertaining. Staying at a hotel alone is such a blissful way to relax. When I get home, I’ve decided to upgrade my bedding and incorporate sauna sessions into my routine!"

"The best thing is its location. It's a 5min walk to the city centre and shopping district, and a 10min walk to the Belfast Grand Central Station where you get on/off the Airport buses. I got an interesting room with four windows, so the whole room was always bright and airy. The room is basic but has everything you need. The only issue is that warm water for the shower takes an excruciatingly long time, so I usually let it run for at least 2mins before hopping into the shower."

The Grand Opera House hosts theatre productions and musicals, or you can check out the Ulster Museum's varied exhibits. "Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing, especially considering we paid around £300 for three nights. The biggest issue was the sofa bed provided for our daughter. The mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable, and she struggled to sleep properly throughout the stay. Breakfast was also a real let-down. The hot selection was very limited, with dried-out food and only scrambled eggs available. We asked whether fried or poached eggs were available and were told no. There was also no ham or cheese, so the breakfast felt very basic compared with what we expected from a Holiday Inn Express. Sleep was made even more difficult by the amount of noise at night. We could hear people coming and going, doors repeatedly slamming and noise from the rear of the hotel. On the positive side, the location was useful for exploring Belfast and the staff we dealt with were polite. However, for approximately £300, we expected a much more comfortable stay. The lack of sleep, particularly for our daughter, really affected our experience and unfortunately we would not choose to stay here again."

"It was a gorgeous place to be honest, nice aesthetics and all, calm environment, so this place is a beautiful place to stay in. My only problem was they couldn’t check me in earlier, so I had to sit elsewhere for 7 hours waiting for my check in time since I flew into Belfast at 8am. I called them to get checked in @12 but they couldn’t make that happen. Got in at 3pm though, 1hr earlier than the original time."

"This was a subsidized hotel. I booked a cheap apartment through the platform, but couldn't reach anyone. They couldn't sell it either, but the platform handled it promptly. They then asked me to book another hotel, and they covered the subsidy. They even followed up within an hour to check if I had booked it, which was quite good. It started off as a bad experience though, mainly because it was cold and rainy with no shelter. I was freezing, almost collapsing from the cold, and my waist felt like it was going to break from standing in the cold. There was no restroom either! Luckily, there was a mechanic shop across the street where I could relieve myself. That owner who didn't operate but also didn't delist their property was really causing trouble! Hotels, even if a bit more expensive, are definitely different – the rooms are much larger, and someone empties the trash daily, and there's tea and coffee."

"This hotel is nice and conveniently located close to the City Hall, the rooms are clean and spacious; furthermore, hotel staff is friendly and helpful. There was a nice touch when someone made up the room in the evening and left some chocolates. This is not however a five star hotel, maybe it was at some point, but I don’t think it’s up to the standards of current five stars. The wifi wasn’t working properly and the bathroom was quite average, the TV was poised in front of the window thus covering most of the natural light coming in. I wouldn’t recommend staying in this hotel if you are looking for a five star experience."
