"We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were incredible. It's also kid-friendly, which we appreciated. However, the hotel is quite far from the beach, so it's not recommended if you're traveling with seniors. The food was a bit expensive, but we had a great time enjoying drinks by the pool area."

"I came here for white sand beach. But in fact beach is so dirty... during 5 days I've been here all days were so many seaweed and plastic in the water. One day I even couldn't swim. Snorkeling is poor as well. Hotel is clean and nice. But there some things, I didn't like. 1. No shower at the beach. 2. Security doesn't do anything with annoying sellers at the beach. Literally every 3-5 minutes I was distracted by locals selling something. I came here for peace and calm. This is annoying so much 3. I asked at the reception can I take phone and pocket to the beach, they said NOOOO it's not safe. Keep all your things with you. How can I relax in such environment? What exactly security do there then? 4. The price for this hotel equal to Marriott, but quality is not the same. I feel economy through everything. Very thin toilet paper. Diluted soup in washroom. And breakfast ... First time in my life I saw cheese cold cuts size 2×2 centimeters. Literally. I paid a lot for this hotel and don't want feel economy vibe. 5. Evening buffet doesn't work everyday. Yeah, it cost not much... but anyway meat there was with bones or soooo hard to chew. Again this economy vibe🙄 was it hard to take a normal meat? Not the cheapest one 6. Check out at 11 am.... what? I've been at 25 countries and hundreds hotels. This is first time check out so early. I asked for late check out and what they gave me is 1 hour more. So basically just a normal check out time. Insane 7. The quality of drinking water is very bad. 8. Ice for drinks probably made from tap water. It's too bad. 9. I feel pressure from sign near elevators. ”Using the stair promotes good health”. I've got a knee injury, I can't use stairs. Didn't I pay enough to use elevator? Or again you wanna save some electricity? Why to put this sign? Again this economy vibe... So faithful for this place is 6.5/10 But any sense to come here? Beach is so dirty..."

"We booked for 3 rooms. Overall stay was OK, The Rooms are Spacious, Nice Shower Room with hair dryer and slippers , with hot water of course, the towels are clean the beddings are clean too, One issue is that there are no TV’s in every Room, the Wi Fi are On & Off, The Breakfast was simple and there is very limited choices, the service are Ok too, But overall Stay is OK."

"We had a lovely stay at this beautiful resort. The infinity pool is stunning, and the direct beach access makes it even more special. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was well organized and clean. However, considering the price of €200 per night, the value for money could be improved. For the Philippines, this is quite a high rate, and we expected a bit more luxury. The breakfast buffet was quite basic — mostly cheap fruits like apples, oranges, and watermelon. We would have appreciated more tropical options, which are usually standard in the region. Also, cappuccinos were not included and had to be paid separately; only basic filter coffee was available. Overall, it’s a great resort, but the pricing doesn’t fully match the experience"

"Surely it’s very nice 5 star hotel, but still one thing you need to consider before booking. The beach is sandy and zones nearby are quite comfortable to stay in and have a rest on the shore. But if you’re snorkeling fan - not a good option for you. On the photo you can see what happens on low tide. Surely you need to wear coral boots (mandatory!!!) and walk a long distance before reaching point where you can swim and snorkel. Still famous aero plane wreckage can be easily accessed and seen underwater. Coral bottom of the sea quite poor on this beach. But you can see a lot of different starfishes."

"We stayed at Henann Tawala Hotel for a week upon arriving in Bohol, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, living up to its 4-star rating. Upon arrival, the staff were very attentive—our bags were handled, and we were offered breakfast while our early check-in was expedited. One thing to be aware of is the 3,000 pesos per night damage deposit. If paid by credit card, any charges, such as room service or drinks at the swim-up bar, are deducted from it, with the balance refunded after checkout. The breakfast area is beautifully presented, with friendly staff who greet you warmly. After giving your room number and surname, you’re escorted to a table. However, we noticed some inconsistency in service—on some days we were offered coffee or tea, while on others we weren’t. There were also times when water wasn’t provided, so we ended up with double servings after fetching it ourselves. Consistency in service would enhance the experience, but the self-service station for coffee, water, and juices was convenient. Breakfast options were excellent, with plenty of variety to suit all preferences. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. One small issue was being asked to leave a yogurt behind when I tried to take it out of the breakfast area. I understand the rule to prevent excessive takeaway, but I felt a little flexibility could be applied for small items. The rooms at Henann Tawala are impressive—spacious with great bathrooms and lovely balconies. Among the best we’ve stayed in, they’re comparable to high-end hotels like Radisson Blu in Cebu or Seda Ayala Central Block. The reception staff were incredibly helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced van for our trip to Tagbilaran, and the driver was punctual, providing a comfortable ride. He even dropped us off at the right spot for catching a van to Anda at the Dao Bus Terminal. One nice perk of staying here is the short walk to Henann's beachfront property, where you can use the sun loungers shaded by palm trees and enjoy drinks served by the staff. However, you can’t use the pool there, and you need to pick up towels from Henann Tawala before heading to the beach. The beach is beautiful, but there are quite a few hawkers selling tours, which can be a bit of a nuisance. We found better deals on Facebook. The sea is warm, though there’s a fair amount of seaweed. I’d recommend snorkeling to watch your step, as there are starfish and possibly sea urchins. We only swam once. If you buy mangosteen from beach vendors (150-200 pesos), check for ants, as one of our bags was full of them! Just outside the hotel’s main gates, there’s an ATM and a laundry shop that charges around 400 pesos for 5 kg, returning clothes washed, dried, and folded by 5 pm. It’s much cheaper than the hotel’s laundry service. We also tried the Kajun Restaurant nearby, which offers excellent chicken sandwiches, fries, and milkshakes in an American diner style. On the beachfront, our favorite restaurant was the Oasis Resort’s upstairs bar and restaurant, which has a cooling breeze and a great view of the beach. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and we highly recommend it. While our stay at Henann Tawala was wonderful, Panglao itself felt quite touristy. There were many Korean tourists, and a lot of locals trying to sell tours and services, which sometimes felt overwhelming. Prices were higher than we expected, especially for things like tricycles, which cost 150 pesos per person compared to the 12 pesos we paid in the provinces. Restaurant prices were also inflated, and even basic supplies came at a premium. If you prefer a quieter, more authentic experience, I’d recommend visiting somewhere like Anda. It has a more laid-back, provincial vibe, with friendlier locals and a slower pace of life, making it a peaceful alternative to the busy, touristy atmosphere of Panglao."

"the room had many molds in the bathroom whoch could easily be cleaned with a bathroom cleaning liquid. the closet had a bite from something like a termite. the cart used for room service was very dusty. the aircon vent clearly has not been cleaned for years since accumulated gray dust of 0.25 inches can be seen in the vent. the room we stayed at was near the side of the public beach. it was noisy in the daytime because of beach goers with loud karaoke speakers staff were exemplary but cleanliness needs to really be improved"

"Let me talk about the advantages first. The location is convenient. You can walk directly to Alona beach. The hotel staff is also very friendly. The swimming pool is very clean and maintained. The sofa area outside the room is very relaxing, and there are cats as a bonus. The following shortcomings really make the overall accommodation experience poor: 1. The bathroom is basically outdoors, so there are a lot of mosquitoes when you take a shower or go to the toilet... If a girl wants to blow dry her hair, it will be even more frustrating because it is very hot outside and the air conditioner has very low wind speed. Basically, you will bleed after you blow dry your hair. Covered in sweat and with mosquito bites all over my head... 2. There is only a shower head but no showerhead, which is very inconvenient for girls to take a shower 3. The bathroom sink is small and damp, making it difficult to place anything 4. The bed is very small and the design of the room makes it very easy for mosquitoes to fly in. It's really frustrating 5. The road back to the hotel is dark and muddy, with no street lights. Girls may need to consider how to ensure safety."

"We had a wonderful time at Solea! The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Upon arrival, we were greeted with complimentary welcome drinks for two, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely superb! I really felt like I got great value for my money, both of my kids enjoyed the breakfast buffet for free (I believe kids under 7 eat free). Although it's a bit of a drive from Alona, we’re from Bohol and had our own car, so getting there was a breeze. For those without a vehicle, Solea offers a free shuttle service. They even provide a handy voucher with the pick-up and drop-off schedule. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway!"

"The room was great and very comfortable, and the swimming pool was perfect. The only downside was that the staff’s manners could use some improvement. While I was working on my laptop in the room, a hotel staff suddenly opened the door and peeked in, which gave me quite a scare. During check-out, even though I had already informed them during the first call that I was still in a meeting, they called again shortly after to rush me to check out. It was not a very pleasant ending to an otherwise good stay."
