The winter here in Beihong Village is quite cold, but as soon as you enter the room, there is floor heating and a warm kang, and you instantly feel that the whole world is warm. The temperature of the kang surface is even, and sleeping on it will keep you warm from your feet to the top of your head. The quilt is thick and soft, wrapping you around your body like a cloud, as comfortable as a cloud. The big Kang is spacious and interesting, completely different from an ordinary bed. We can roll around, chat, and play games freely on it, and there is more than enough space. This unique form of accommodation allows us to feel the strong Northeastern folk customs. I was originally worried about whether there would be any hygiene problems with this kind of special accommodation, but it turned out that I was overthinking it. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed and quilt were neatly folded, and there was no smell at all. There is no dust even in the corners, and the toiletries are neatly placed, making your stay very peaceful. You can also taste authentic Northeastern food when you live here. The landlord cooks farm food every day, chicken stewed with mushrooms, pickled cabbage stewed with vermicelli...the taste is authentic, the ingredients are all fresh, and the portion is very large. However, transportation in Beiji Village was extremely inconvenient. It's about 2.3 kilometers to the boundary marker, but regular taxis refused to take it. They only accepted large fares back to Mohe County, using those low-speed electric vehicles that charged 30 yuan per person, making a total of 90 yuan per vehicle! Walking back, I realized it wasn't that far either.
