Room is decent clean enough, location wise easy to find just is in the middle of that series of hotel so quite a walk especially uphill. They need to charge a surcharge for extra pillow required. Heater will not on if the temperature is more than 8 degrees, so traveller do take note this limitation.

The location is next to National Chung Cheng University. It is a Sunday and the students are on holiday. The shopping streets are not open. It is a bit troublesome to drive out on the provincial highway or near Minxiong City to find restaurants. But going for a walk on the university campus during the holidays is very peaceful and quiet. The hotel staff are friendly and can check in a little early, which is very convenient.

My husband and I spent most of our time traveling around the world after retiring early. This is the most cozy place we have ever stayed. It feels like staying at our own relatives' house! We stayed for four nights. Every day, we could feel that the boss lady was making us feel comfortable and at ease here, from the choice of room layout, to the daily inquiry of the freshly made breakfast, to the recommendation of nearby attractions and restaurants. The location here is very convenient. It is a few minutes' drive from the famous Eryanping Trail entrance, the Xiangshan Observation Deck where you can see the beautiful sunrise, and the Eryanping Trail Second Observation Deck where you can see the sunset sea of ​​clouds (you can drive up directly on non-weekends, but parking spaces are limited, so you need to arrive early). It is only a dozen minutes' drive from the Sakura, Xia, Tea, and Fog Trails of Shiqiao, as well as Dingshiqiao where you can see the glass light. When we are not out playing, we enjoy drinking tea and chatting with the boss lady, listening to the surrounding birds singing on the third-floor balcony, looking at the highest mountain in Taiwan, Yushan, and other nearby peaks and valleys in the distance, and feeling the characteristics of Alishan in the afternoon fog. As photographers, we captured the beautiful scenery we wanted, and as tourists, we enjoyed a comfortable and cozy life like home. By the way, the high mountain tea grown and baked by the boss himself is very delicious. We like to drink tea every day and we took the initiative to buy a lot of it for ourselves and friends. It's so beautiful here! It's much better than our stay and play in Alishan Forest Recreation Park. We will definitely come back! The bird in it is an endangered beautiful bird, the five-color bird, which my husband took on the large balcony on the third floor. It is eating the aiyu planted by the boss's wife.

This is probably the most established hotel in Fenqihu, when you’re on the way to Alishan, either as a pitstop to get bento lunch or as an overnight stay. The facilities are very old and dated (I think maybe 90s renovated?), I stayed in the Japanese inspired room so it was on a tatami and low tables. There’s even a solo Japanese tub for you to soak in. All good. I appreciate the multiple wifi names as the property is quite sparse so the wifi signal is bound to be terrible. With multiple wifi spots with the same password, it’s easy to connect and have good wifi. I don’t like that the aircon is non-existent that there’s a fan. There’s a dehumidifier because the room is very humid from the bathroom. I think a lot of renovations need to happen to make this place more desirable. The 3 walking tours are amazing, the guide is so informative and helpful, she takes really good Instagram content! She only conducts the tour in mandarin so take note.

The hotel offered free guided tour at the moment. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. The stay is pretty enjoyable except the hotel does not have a lift. Do prepare to take the stairs if staying on the highest floor (4th floor).

The Dragon Boat Festival holiday travel, because the car travel that stayed the night before was very big and there were two big bathtubs, the price was more favorable than this, so it was compared. The first time I came to Shumei, the room type we lived in was simple, but the indoor lighting was bright and it felt good. But only the shower has no bathtub to take a bath ⋯ I don't know why the mobile phone signal here is very poor, and the WiFi message in the room is also very slow. There are movies to watch on TV, and it rained heavily after check-in. It was not bad to watch two movies.

The hotel environment is very clean! Have breakfast; the location of the hotel is not bad, near Chiayi High-speed Railway Station, you can rent a motorcycle near the high-speed rail station, so it is very convenient to travel!

The equipment is a bit old, and children living in a camper are more novel. In summer, you can play in the pool to cool off the heat. The barbecue ingredients are sufficient. It is recommended to bring more abundant ingredients. There must be anti-mosquito measures. Family travel is okay as a whole.

The village is a place for leisure and vacation with pool table, sports equipment and swimming pool. There is a parking lot in the village and parking is very convenient. The European suite design, the bathroom and toilet are separated, and it feels more comfortable. The bed is spacious and comfortable, but the toilet is not an exempt toilet, and it feels a little weak. TV only provides digital TV, there should be room for improvement. Breakfast is acceptable in the motel shopping mode.

Great place to stay to visit Alishan park! The staff are super helpful! Even with language barrier they go out of their way to accomodate you and inform you of services/tours within the park! The shuttle service from hotel to Alishan bus station was super helpful and saved us pushing our luggage around elevated roads! Room was clean and comfortable! Recommend this hotel if you’re looking for cleanliness and new vibe! View from 3rd floor room was gorgeous!
