"The hotel does not match the photos. The interior looks quite worn and outdated, and it is unclear when it was last renovated. Overall, the place feels rather old. The only real advantage was the view from the window. However, the balcony is not comfortable for relaxing. The elevators are also old and somewhat strange. It gets very hot inside. The air conditioning only works when you are in the room, so every time you return it is very stuffy and uncomfortable. There is no privacy at all: the toilet and shower are not properly separated and are completely transparent. One small positive point is that it was possible to leave luggage for a few hours after check-out. The location has its drawbacks. The street is very busy, and calling a taxi can take time, plus it is not very convenient for pick-up. The only convenience is that in the evening you can easily walk to the night market, which starts right next to the hotel in the same area. If you came specifically for the market, it may be suitable. Otherwise, most other places are quite far away."

"Choosing Naga S Hotel was truly the most delightful surprise of my Xishuangbanna trip! The location is simply unbeatable – just a few minutes' walk to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Starlight Night Market, and right around the corner is the dazzling Golden Pagoda. Serene and solemn by day, it becomes a brilliant spectacle at night, making you feel like you're living inside the most captivating landscape painting of Jinghong. The hotel's design beautifully blends Dai ethnic charm with modern simplicity. You'll find a seamless integration of bamboo weaving, wood carvings, and lush greenery everywhere, offering both a sense of local culture and ultimate comfort. Our room was spacious and bright, with soft, skin-friendly bedding. The bathroom had a thoughtful wet-and-dry separation, showing great attention to detail. What I loved most was that our room window faced the Golden Pagoda directly. At night, pulling back the curtains revealed the pagoda lights illuminating the sky, like a flowing masterpiece. The service also deserves special praise! The front desk staff was incredibly warm and attentive, proactively recommending fun spots and delicious food at the night market, and even thoughtfully advising us on how to avoid peak crowds. Every day, returning to the hotel, we were greeted with refreshing welcome tea, and luggage assistance was always prompt. The hotel also has a rooftop viewing platform, offering panoramic views of Gaozhuang, perfect for a relaxing evening breeze. For tourists, this place is truly a 'hidden gem' as a base. After a tiring day of sightseeing, you can easily stroll through the night market in the evening, enjoy Dai cuisine, and take photos in traditional Dai attire, then walk back to your room to rest. In the morning, you can visit the Golden Pagoda when it's less crowded to experience its tranquility. Transportation is also very convenient; getting a taxi to Manting Park or the Tropical Botanical Garden was hassle-free. If I had to offer one small suggestion, I'd hope for a swimming pool in the future. But even without it, Naga S Hotel is already wonderful enough that I want to recommend it to all my friends visiting Xishuangbanna! Here, you not only enjoy excellent accommodation but also an immersive experience of Gaozhuang's poetic charm, where 'stars fall to earth every night.' I will definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Banna!"

"This is the first time I've ever felt such a strong urge to leave a positive review for a hotel. From the moment I was picked up, to the front desk staff, and even the breakfast auntie, everyone's service attitude was absolutely wonderful and incredibly gentle. The breakfast was also delicious, and the hotel really excels in paying attention to details. In short, the entire experience was incredibly amazing! It's a shame I only took one photo of the breakfast (because it was so good!). Even when I ordered takeout, a robot delivered it, which felt extremely secure. The whole hotel was also very quiet."

"You could see it was a beautiful hotel back in the day, but the shower door couldn’t close completely & you could see some aspects were a little worn through. Also the walls were pretty thin, but that happens in most hotels in China. The pool was nice though and the people very kind!! I would nevertheless recommend it."

"The hotel isn't on the main street. Let's start with the positives: the room is large, it offers great value for money, the facilities are quite good, and the staff are friendly. The front desk is also very responsive via WeChat. On the downside: breakfast is very mediocre, and if you go 40 minutes before closing, there's hardly anything left and they don't replenish it. Projecting onto the screen is too complicated. Also, I asked for clothes hangers for three days but never received them. These are all areas that could be improved, and if they were, the hotel would be even better. Because the price is very fair, I'm still giving it a 5-star rating, and the cons won't deduct from that."

We had airport pickup service in a spacious GL8 business seven-seater. The lobby offers complimentary self-serve refreshments like fresh flower cakes and Pu'er tea, plenty for everyone. The room also thoughtfully provided disposable bath liners and toilet seat covers, which was very convenient. Cleanliness: All the glass throughout the hotel was spotless. However, the room's disinfection needs improvement. Before going to bed, I found a lot of large ants near the sink, which scared me! Thankfully, the butler responded quickly and brought insecticide. Environment: It's right in the city center, and the soundproofing is decent. Getting a taxi can be a bit of a hassle due to potential traffic, but it's very convenient for walking around, and it's close to Gaozhuang."

"This hotel is simply a holiday ceiling, the public area and the swimming pool are super good, and the film is made as soon as you take a shot. It is also close to the Star Night Market. It is not good to sleep in Gaozhuang. This hotel is close and convenient and quiet. The pick-up master was very punctual. "The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Starlight Night Market. The river-view rooms offer a direct view of the Lancang River, the Starlight Night Market, and White Elephant Beach! I stayed on the south side of the river for New Year's Eve and watched the fireworks show, and this time staying on the north side was a great, varied experience! They upgraded our room to one with a river view, and the scenery is beautiful. However, the bass from the Six Nations Music Plaza downstairs plays continuously until after 11 PM, so those with heart conditions should definitely reconsider!!! The hotel lobby is grand, fresh, and elegant, with a rich Dai ethnic flair. The reception staff's Dai traditional clothing is beautiful and graceful! There are welcome drinks in the lobby! The hotel offers free hot springs, a water park, and an infinity pool. The hot spring water is relatively clean, but a few pools had some moss, which I suggest they clean promptly! The pool faces the Lancang River directly, making it perfect for photos! Breakfast was abundant, with a wide variety of delicious options! The service was warm and friendly; staff actively smiled and greeted guests! This hotel offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth revisiting!"

"Our experience at this hotel was terrible from the moment we checked in. We used to stay here every time we visited Xishuangbanna. We drove here, so we had a lot of luggage. When I asked the front desk if they had a luggage cart, the receptionist told me to carry everything myself. When I went over, I saw the cart was full of miscellaneous items. The receptionist then told me to clear the items off myself. Not only did I have to move all the stuff that shouldn't have been on the luggage cart, but I also had to carry my own bags while the front desk staff just stood there and watched, not even offering to help. I could let that slide. We were originally planning to extend our stay; I had already told them yesterday that we'd like to stay in the same room. Check-out time was 2 PM, but at 1:32 PM, they called to tell us to check out. I immediately decided to check out and move to another hotel. They clearly knew we had a lot of luggage, yet at just past 2 PM, they sent someone up to rush us. Even as I left the hotel, carrying my bags to the parking lot, the front desk staff just stood there, completely indifferent (and there wasn't just one person, nor were they busy; there wasn't even anyone checking in). This kind of experience truly shows the hotel's unprofessional management and poor front desk service. I had already calmed down yesterday, thinking that perhaps the person was alone at the front desk, so I could understand. But today, with several people standing there doing nothing, it's completely incomprehensible what this front desk is even doing. You might as well just get rid of the front desk altogether, it's utterly useless. Don't they provide training before people start working? I've traveled and stayed in so many hotels both domestically and internationally, and this is the first hotel in all these years that has made me write a negative review. It's truly one of a kind. I will never stay here again when I come to Xishuangbanna. If they don't improve their management, no one will dare to come anymore. It's genuinely infuriating."
