WeihunbabaI have been to Xishuangbanna many times. After the busy May Day holiday, I wanted to come here to catch up with friends and relax. I have stayed in many hotels in Banna. Maybe it was because I wanted to experience something new that I spent a wonderful day.
The hotel's services are all very good. It may be that the rainy season is approaching in Banna and the drizzle here is continuous. The driver who came to pick me up called me when I was about to arrive at the station, and was waiting for me at the exit. After meeting me, he took the initiative to hold an umbrella and carry my bag for me.
There was another unexpected surprise when we arrived at the hotel. It must have been the May Day holiday, so the place didn't seem busy. The lady at the front desk told me that there are hot spring rooms and gave me a free upgrade experience, which was really great.
You can soak in the hot springs in the room and stroll among the rice fields.
Different from the urban areas and Gaozhuang where I lived before, this is a place where I can relax physically and mentally. The front desk and butlers in the store made me feel relaxed and natural, and I praise this place from the bottom of my heart!
(There are many restaurants in the market not far away. The Dai barbecue that my friends and I had in the evening was very delicious)

Anonymous UserI checked out this morning and wanted to write down my experience from the past few days. My friend and I booked this hotel first, based on a recommendation, and then planned our vacation. As soon as we booked, we were added to the hotel's butler service group. I was so excited to visit the hotel even before our trip began!
Our excitement was high on the flight from Tianhe to Gasa. We laughed and chatted all the way. As soon as we landed, we received a message from the hotel's driver, a lovely lady, saying she was at the airport and to take our time. It was so warm and thoughtful. On the way, she introduced us to Xishuangbanna and helped us plan our itinerary, which kicked off our four-day, four-night adventure. On the day we arrived, the hotel upgraded our room for free (it had a balcony with views of the Lancang River and Liming Bridge). We also received complimentary afternoon tea and snacks from the hotel (sweet ᵔᴥᵔ). We then had a special rice noodle dish (individually packed and unique). Afterward, we booked the hotel-Gaozhuang shuttle to explore the Starlight Night Market, where we bought many souvenirs (cute and unique). We also arranged our day trips to the Botanical Garden and Dai Ethnic Garden for the next day. After our sightseeing, we booked the Gaozhuang-hotel shuttle for 10 PM. We were exhausted when we got back to the hotel, so we each ordered a drink made by the hotel and headed back to our rooms. (The hotel even offers laundry service, which is incredibly thoughtful and made our experience even better).
Early the next morning, a car picked us up and took us to the assembly point for our day trip (Mengbala Grand Theater). We embarked on a day of connecting with nature, experiencing ethnic culture, and having a lot of fun. The 'Saoduoli' (Dai girls) were all beautiful, and the 'Maoduoli' (Dai boys) were very friendly. The most fun and amazing part of the day was the water-splashing activity at the Dai Ethnic Garden, where we received a basin full of blessings (my 'eyes were wide open' ᵔᴥᵔ). That day, the butler also helped me retrieve a package. My inner monologue was a song lyric: '…unparalleled beauty.'
Day three was a small group hiking trip to Jinuo Mountain, which we booked through the hotel's car fleet. It was so much fun!!! After breakfast at the hotel, our guide picked us up and drove us directly to Jinuo Mountain for a 4-kilometer wilderness hike. We were awestruck by the rainforest, vegetation, and small creatures. All six of us tourists were kept entertained by our guide throughout the journey. We tasted sour ants, spotted a bamboo viper (I found it first ʕ*ᴗ*ʔ), rode a bamboo raft, ate banana hearts, took tourist photos, and enjoyed a unique and delicious lunch. The experience was amazing! (I woke up with sore muscles the next morning ʕ◉ᴥ◉ʔ). After the hike, we also tried the hotel's beauty photography service. The makeup artist, photographer, and retoucher were all excellent, very professional, incredibly good value for money, and extremely patient. We were practically pampered into embryos ʕᵔ㉨ᵔʔ.
On day four, we took a taxi directly from the hotel to the Main Buddhist Temple to visit the Dai King's Royal Garden. Finally, we took a taxi to Wantai, where we tried local specialties like 'Chong Jiao' (smashed chicken feet) and 'Paoluoda' (sweet coconut milk drink). The portions were generous! After eating, we strolled around and bought some handmade Thai crafts, which were really nice ᵔᴥᵔ.
We originally wanted to explore the northern part of Xishuangbanna (via ferrata, primitive forest park), but the hotel was so popular that they informed us it was fully booked. Although the hotel offers luggage storage, we hadn't planned ahead, so we stuck to our original plan of heading to Kunming.
Finally, I want to especially thank the hotel for their thoughtful, comprehensive, patient, and energetic service. Thank you to the two staff members who helped us load our luggage into the car when we checked out. They took care of us attentively from start to finish. It's no wonder they're so popular! (If you have the money and time, it's worth coming back countless times!!!)
Throughout our trip, although we felt some places were a bit commercialized, it also made the journey simpler and allowed us to experience sincerity and warmth. Oh, by the way, we originally booked for two nights, and then applied to extend our stay for another two nights, which was even cheaper than the original price (double happiness)!!!
Thanks again to the hotel staff, the car fleet drivers, and the beauty photography studio staff for always responding to our needs and following through on everything. I wish you continued prosperity and hope to see you again. ❃ႣᄎႣ❃
Future guests, don't worry! Although the hotel is on a hill, the views are fantastic, and getting around is very convenient (if you're a larger group or staying longer, you can charter a car and get a discount ʕ•⊖•ʔ). If you have any reasonable requests, don't hesitate to ask the butler for help. I wish you a pleasant journey ʢᵕᴗᵕʡ.

I’m taking time out specifically to write this review because my experience was just that good. It started from the moment I checked in, with the sweet smile of the lady at reception who offered various discount vouchers and mosquito repellent, and kindly explained all the room facilities. The room itself was clean, tidy, and had an elegant atmosphere. Even our photographer recommended taking some shots right outside the hotel, haha! The location is also excellent – right opposite 'Xiawang Thai Restaurant' and only a 5-minute walk to the Starlight Night Market. But the absolute, most highly recommended thing is the exquisite homemade breakfast. It was absolutely delicious, a definite 100 points! I genuinely couldn't bear to leave anything on my plate each morning, polishing it all off – it's definitely a major bonus point for the hotel's high rating. Because our stay was so wonderful, we even booked to come back here after a two-day trip elsewhere! 😄😁

This hostel boasts an excellent location. It's a pleasant 400-500 meter walk to the Lancang River, and Peacock Lake Park is about a kilometer away. A fresh market for fruits, along with 'Luoluo Bingwu' (a local dessert shop) and several other restaurants, are all within a kilometer's radius. You can easily rent an electric scooter right outside to visit attractions further afield. It’s perfect for both long-term stays and short trips.
The hostel's common areas are very spacious. The first floor is great for working, and the second-floor terrace is incredibly comfortable – perfect for sunbathing during the day and stargazing at night.
The overall cleanliness is good, and the bedding is very comfortable and clean. The four-bed and eight-bed dorms share two bathrooms, so there's never a queue.
The environment is quiet, as it's located within a residential building. The owner is a warm, friendly, and very helpful sister.

Anonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy.
The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything.
If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

My trip to Xishuangbanna this time was purely for the joy of daily sunbathing, and what I unexpectedly gained was the pleasant surprise of the Saipan Hotel. It brought me back to those warm and tranquil days I spent in Santorini many years ago. I later learned that the entire hotel was designed and built by a seasoned architect, who is also the owner. This explains the meticulous detail in every corner and the harmonious, rich overall style. The quality of the architecture itself greatly enhances the beauty of my photos!
During my stay, each morning began with a warm cup of red date and rose tea, awakening my palate. In the afternoon, bathed in the winter sun, I'd relax on a loungewear by the Tiffany blue pool, surrounded by blooming pink bougainvillea, slowly sipping the complimentary passion fruit juice from the hotel. I also tried the highly-praised coconut sago pudding afternoon tea. In the evenings, I'd stroll leisurely through the starlight night market, soaking in the lively atmosphere. It was truly my fast energy recovery station, making me eagerly anticipate my next return here to recharge.
Every traveler has their own set of preferences. On this trip, I also spent a week each at the Nanman Mijin Hotel and the Yueming Village Pineapple Hotel. However, the Saipan Hotel perfectly aligned with my aesthetic preferences and daily habits, especially my high demands for sleep quality. Coupled with its excellent value for money, it has naturally become my top choice for future stays in Xishuangbanna.

The staff at this hotel were all very helpful and had great service attitudes, which deserves a big thumbs up. However, the facilities were a major drawback. The laundry room seemed to be shared with the adjacent health and wellness guesthouse; it was so messy that I never wanted to do laundry there 😂. The swimming pool was also dirty and not filled with water, which was one of the reasons I booked the hotel. There was also no parking, and the small courtyard was completely filled with cars. Breakfast was very simple, basically just two stir-fried dishes every day, served on the kind of trays used in student cafeterias. The only thing I was willing to eat was the rice noodles. I also got bitten by some kind of insect at the hotel seven or eight times. In short, it's a hotel with very obvious advantages and disadvantages. This is the first time I've written so much, and I hope the hotel can improve and get better.

YyingzhiMy friend and I booked a hotel near Manting Park because we had to go to the airport the next day. It's a 10-minute taxi ride to the airport.
The hotel building is grand and impressive. The twin room was a good size with two beds, perfect for two girls to sleep comfortably. The bedding was clean and odorless, and the room environment was also very clean. The smart devices and toiletries were comprehensive. It was also very quiet, so I wasn't bothered by noise at night.
The hotel service was excellent. When our car parked at the hotel entrance, the butler immediately came to help with our luggage and guided us to the room. My friend's foot was chafed, and they even provided a first-aid kit with band-aids.
On the B1 floor, there's an infinity pool. The breakfast was also the most extensive I've seen in Xishuangbanna so far, and the rice noodles were delicious! The entire building leans more towards a business style, suitable for families. It was a very comfortable stay for our last night in Xishuangbanna.

Ana the ExplorerIt is more like a boutique hotel. The rooms are quite clean and spacious. The staff was helpful all the time, although the pool was not clean as I would expect, also no western breakfast aside from the toast with butter and jam, and no proper latte or cappuccino. I was unfortunate for having the workers next to my room, because they were building another hotel. But once their duty was over, it was quite silent and calm. It is close to the night market, just 15-20 minutes waking distance and 10 minutes away to the theater. There are several options around for food, tourist agencies and spas. Overall, I had a nice stay!
