Singapore Hostels

A relatively new, cosy boutique hostel in a two-storey shophouse in the middle of historic Kampung Glam. Private rooms and shared baths on the 2nd storey (serviced by a lift) and capsule pods and a stylish lounge on the first. Our room was small but comfortable and very clean, bath towels were provided and there was ample clean, shared bathrooms with hot showers down the hallway - we never had to wait. We liked that they try to provide basic amenities, laundry facilities ($7 per wash/dry load) and filtered water dispenser on the first floor. Bonus: friendly reception staff, and location in a quiet strip just 2 minutes walk away from the mosques, shops and nightlife area. Great for sleep, shop and supper!

First off, the staff here are quite responsible, which is a big improvement over other capsule hotels. The downside is that the public areas and rooms have a terrible smell – a mix of foot odor, a sour, musty smell, and other indefinable odors. The cleanliness inside the capsules is just passable, though still much better than some of the really bad ones. The location is quite convenient, with Bugis MRT station not far from the exit.

I stayed at the hostel for one night and found the location to be quite convenient, with easy access to Maxwell and Chinatown MRT stations. The hostel has a pantry on the first floor that provides drinking water and some light snacks. Basic amenities such as disposable shavers, earplugs, shower caps, and toothbrushes with toothpaste are also provided, which was a nice touch. One thing to note is the ventilation in the bunk area. Although the rooms are air-conditioned, closing the blinds around the bunk can make the space feel quite stuffy. I would recommend bringing a portable fan or leaving the blinds slightly open for better airflow. It would also be great if each bunk could have improved ventilation. My bunk was on the second floor, and as the hostel is located along a busy street, there was noticeable traffic noise. The rooms are not fully soundproof, so guests may hear cars and other street noise, especially at night. Overall, it’s a decent hostel for a short stay, especially if you value a convenient location and the availability of basic amenities.

This was my first time in Singapore, and I stayed for 8 nights straight, looking for an apartment while staying here. The environment is relatively quiet. Occasionally, there are noisy people talking on the phone constantly, but a gentle reminder usually solves the issue. Overall, it's pretty quiet. It's about a 12-minute walk to the MRT station, or 10 minutes if you walk faster. There's a 7-Eleven about 5 minutes away. Laundry costs 5 SGD per wash and 5 SGD per dry. There are plenty of good eateries downstairs. In general, it's quite convenient, though the shower area is a bit small and hot.

What a brilliant concept and place. The main differientation from other capsule hotels is that each pod is secure, lockable and deathly quiet from noise on the streets. Arab st is very lively in the evening with lots of music playing. The hostel lost points because house keeping was very poor. Stayed 4 nts and no one cleaned the bathrooms, check that there was enough toilet paper or picked up piles of hair in the drainer. Urgh. One toilet seat in the three bathrooms (on each floor) was detached and not fixed. Do not reach below the mattress or you will find a handful of ouse, dust and hair. There was no hot water on Floor 2; thankfully the weather was warm enough. Was told that Floor 3 had hot water on day 3! Apart from the state of the bathrooms, the capsule itself was comfy with fast charging outlets, even a little telly and mood lighting. I do recommend this place. The owners will do brilliantly to have better housekeeping. Receptionist was bright, friendly and welcoming. My messages were promptly answered to self service check in. A great experience and for those on a budget...the capsules were brilliant. Thankfully during my stay, other guests were respectful and quiet. That is the thing that wouls make or break. Good luck.

had a really great stay at this hostel! The place was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The room was cozy, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. The location was also convenient, with easy access to nearby food and transport. Overall, I had a pleasant and relaxing experience here. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay. Overall, this hostel is quite clean. The room isn't very large, but it's cool, so I slept comfortably at night. The bathroom is very clean, has a hairdryer, and plenty of hot water for showering. It's a bit of a walk from the subway station, so it's better to take the bus.

This hostel offers incredible value for money, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. The rooms are clean and odor-free, and each bunk has its own privacy curtain and reading light, ensuring no disturbances. The bathrooms are spotless with 24-hour hot water. The front desk staff are incredibly thoughtful, and luggage storage is available. The common area has a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for meeting travelers from all over. The location is super convenient, close to attractions, saving a lot of travel time. Hygiene, facilities, and service are all top-notch. It's my go-to choice for accommodation when traveling, and I highly recommend it to all backpackers!

Even though it was cheap, the Chinatown location was excellent. The toilet and shower were also quite clean. For this price in Singapore, I'd overlook anything else.

This area is Little India, surrounded by many Indian-owned shops. There are several MRT stations nearby, making transportation very convenient. Underneath Tekka Centre, you'll find plenty of local food stalls. There are also many shopping malls near the Rochor MRT station, worth exploring.
