Both the check-in and checkout process were easy and the people were very helpful. However, the reason why I’m rating so low is because the entire hostel had a very disgusting smell to it and the worst was the bed I was staying in had a really distinct odor, it was almost like the most disgusting humans body odor you’ve ever smelt. This smell lingered on everything that touched that bed for a few days after until I could get a washing machine. The place was very loud & the people in the hostel were not very respectful in this sense of sound and they kept slamming the doors everywhere. If you enjoy a hostel just as a place to stay then you’ll fit in perfect here, but be aware of your nose and your ears. Also the common areas were very dark and not well lit so it felt uninviting in the whole building

A terrible attitude to the guests and complete irresponsibility. Booked the hostel through the booking, paid, everything was good. arrived at check in and the hostel turned out to be closed. No one answered the door, the phone was turned on, where the girl said ”hi” and nothing more. I was standing under the hostel and called half an hour on the phone number and did not get the answer, and the host never opened after the quarantine, and the owners decided to earn. The next day, I decided to call again on the phone number of the host and already very quickly picked up the phone of a young man who said he was the manager and claimed the host was working and the settlement was in them that day and they were functioning fully. The young man was not polite and qualified to work with guests. The young man ended up saying that it was not his competence to solve the problem. Living in Krakow for a long time, I had not had such cases for the first time, so I decided to go check whether the host worked on the same day as the conversation with the manager took place. The host was closed and no one opened that proves that the hosts earn during the situation, deceived people. If you don't want to stay on the street and don't know the city, don't use the services of this host! I don't recommend!

The hostel is in a great location in the city, the rooms were very clean, and so were the beds. Everyone got their own large locker. I had to move rooms due to a large group staying on my third night. The first floor was quite modern. When I was moved to the third floor, I noticed that the toilets were not as nice and were shared with a lot more rooms compared to the first room I stayed in.

We had an excellent stay here at ginger hostel. The check in process was easy and our room was clean, large and had everything you would expect. Location wise, it is directly outside a very well-connected bus stop and a short walk from the castle and old town. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, would definitely recommend the indian downstairs a few houses down. There is a free breakfast in a lovely kitchen which was a welcome suprise. Whilst we didn't make much use of the kitchen facilities, they were well maintained and always clean. The hostel offers excursions at competitive prices which you can book through reception. Would recommend to solo couples, families and backpackers as this hostel is for everyone.

I've arrived at Das Hostel on 20th of October, a long stay for me. To be honest I choose it for the price and for the private shuttle from the airport since I was arriving too late at night. The guys from the staff have been so kind since I contacted them by email, and they're still great here and always available for any help! The location is just perfect, a few steps from the city centre, in a very beautiful and well served area, love it! The place is clean and very well organized, the kitchen is equipped with every kind of stuff and is so nice to cook here :) Last, but not least, the guys are very careful with hygienic rules and keep the place clean everyday, makes us feeling really safe! As I said in the title, I feel at home 😊

This is a quaint little guest house in the old town , it does not have a lift so no good to people with mobility problems , they supply towels and shower gel and there is tea and coffee in the room , there is a small fridge in the communal area, but nothing to cook on not even a microwave no plates etc, for a room only I did expect more facilities, my room was not in the main building but over looking a bar courtyard , this was very noisy in the evening, also someone started drilling early every morning, ideal as a base, quite dated but clean and reception staff friendly

The https://shh.travel/ website shows 6 co-owners, highly responsive to positive comments but completely indifferent to complaint email. So I post my unanswered email here. My husband and I stayed at Dorm 3 of Dizzy Daisy Downtown Hostel Krakow from January 27-29, 2022. Dorm 3 is fully booked on the 29th so we moved to Dorm 1 instead. We are elderlies (and we are Asian) very much prefer lower bunk beds. My husband went to Dorm 1 after 10am to check available lower bunks. One young man staying at Dorm 1 asked my husband ”What do you want”. My husband said we stay at Dorm 1 tonight. The man then told my husband to speak at a lower voice because someone is sleeping but he spoke much louder. I went to Reception to brief the lady receptionist about this unfriendly person in Dorm 1. At around 11.30am, my husband went to Dorm 1 to check available lower bunks again. The man ordered my husband to ”get out or I am going to make a complaint at Reception”. My husband replied ”Let's go together to Reception”. On the way down the stairs, the man swearing at my husband. Just a few steps before reaching the ground, the man, with both hands, pushed my husband from the back. My husband hit on the wall and bounced through the door to the Reception area. My husband fell on his knees and physically hurt. The Receptionist told the man to stop. Three staying guests helped to bring my husband standing up. The incident was witnessed and the hostel said it's recorded by CCTV. The Receptionist told the man to leave but offered to give him a refund. I disagreed to let him go and asked the Receptionist to call the Police - this is an assault which is a criminal offence. The man went back to the Dorm to pack. Receptionist called Security and ”I thought” Security called the ”Police”. In about 10 minutes, the man returned the keys at Reception. Receptionist told him he need to wait for the Police. Without insisting to get a refund, the man said ”good bye” and ran away like a fugitive. Soon after the man stepped out, two Security Guards arrived. I said to the guards they should bring the man back as he had just walked out. That did not happen. I was offered an explanation though. Policemen came. Two of them took my husband going around in a Police car trying to find the man but to no avail. I strongly insisted to file a report at the Police Station to have the man arrested. My husband decided not to proceed as the man had already paid a price to have disgraced his country and his fellow Danish. After Policemen left, I asked the Receptionist our accommodation arrangement for the night. We were offered a free upgrade to a twin-room with shared bathroom but after a quick discussion with husband we thought we should be compensated for a free room for the night. The Receptionist told me to come back after 2pm and get a reply from the Reception Manager. I spoke to Reception Manager at 4pm, she was calm and not quite empathetic as if assault is no big deal in

Very Good
GGuest Userat about 20 minutes walk to be mixed . quiet area a minute from the synagogue and the Jewish neighborhood . unfortunately dirty kitchen , but the rooms and common areas are very clean . it is within a courtyard ,very large and quiet . good prices
There is a variety of rooms. Dorm rooms with (just) four beds (not bunks) and attached bathroom are better than in other hostels in the same price bracket. The renovated place is light and kept clean. Check-in is straightforward and pretty well organized. All facilities such as the hot shower and WiFi worked well. Beds were comfortable. Good there are lockers. Enjoyed the modern well equipped kitchen where I could cook and sit at one of the many tables. The location is within walking distance to the old town. Since the last time I stayed here, more guests behaved rather anti-social. Moreover, there were groups with youngsters (sometimes loud). At the court yard very early in the morning someone would start his motorbike (noise!). Every day the same. There is not always someone at the reception. I used the luggage storage for which you need a key. Because the receptionist was absent, I missed my bus. So plan enough time to pick up left luggage.
Aabigail jLovely room very spacious for me and my partner whole studio to ourselves and private bathroom and double bed and dining area, cheap and beautiful for people who are looking for a few nights away in krakow.
GGuest UserGreat Hostel walking distance from the city center. Garden is fabulous to barbecue but only available when the weather is nice. Free Tea, Coffee available 24/7. Just be at home and enjoy the hospitality. Parties possible in the garden when behaving normal.
