GGuest UserWent during mid dec and was worry about the room having no heater. But the room was just nice with the temperature similar to a normal aircon room and there is heater in the bed. Hot water for shower was constant. Room is very clean. No lift. We use the slope for luggage and only few steps for carrying the luggage. Best part is the star gazing at 830pm and we are lucky enough to have the clouds cleared and saw a few shooting stars!!!! Such luck!!! In the morning, we saw the clouds within the mountain! Very pretty view!!! Breakfast was simple but tasted good. As we hired a driver, we didnt need to walk out to the complex for dinner, but the road do look v dark and very narrow at night.

Staff are very helpful although some of them can’t speak English.. The location is only 100 meters bus station and near starbucks coffee.
The view from our room is stunning.
If we go back to Sun moon lake. This hotel will be a first choice.

AAnonymous UserVery good location in Qingjing, right in front of bus stop but the bus is rarely come like once in an hour. Staff were very friendly, they offer pickup and dropoff service at the garden. Room is spacious and clean, no AC but the weather is cool. Hot pot at the front desk area also seems to be good, its a pity that we couldn’t try. Breakfast is variety, even it’s a easy local food but really nice taste. Definitely recommend and want to go back again if have chance.

GGuest UserI have booked this hotel because of the location, and the view from this room was fantastic! Hotel is located on one of the 3 historical street and next to the pier. So if you want local/street food, just walk outside of the hotel, and if you want a boat ride or on water activities, they are right outside of the hotel as well. The hotel is small, however, the room size is great. Bathroom has separate tub and shower which is very accommodating for guest needs. Room has a small balcony where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning quietness with nice view of the lake and nature surroundings. Breakfast on top floor has good varieties as well.

GGuest UserThe best part about this hotel (国民賓館) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel.
The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests.
The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

GGuest UserThe house is very retro and beautiful, but it is old and the facilities are a bit old, but it is acceptable. Breakfast is served at the counter, 200 Taiwan dollars per person for Western food, and there is also bread for 100 Taiwan dollars at the counter. There is a 7-11 five minutes away, so it is very convenient

OOmnThe staff was friendly and spoke Chinese & English. We left our bags at the hotel before check-in. The room was clean, with a hairdryer provided. The large bed was comfortable enough for four people. The bathroom had both hot and cold water but lacked a door lock. There was limited space around the bed to open a large suitcase. There were three power outlets provided, all of which were flat pin type.
Breakfast is a self-service buffet and it's very delicious.
The hotel location is very close to the pier, bus station and 7-11, making it very convenient to travel.

GGuest UserThe location is excellent, the hotel service staff are great, the room is spacious and comfortable, and overall clean; the park is a bit older than a few years ago, the hotel is a bit old, the room has a musty smell, and the bathroom tape has some mildew spots. We happened to meet a tour group during dinner time. The restaurant was a little short of manpower and the meal replenishment speed could not keep up with the consumption speed. There are so many fireflies in the firefly viewing activity!

JJuliaI ended up getting a room completely different from the one I was supposed to get. If the hotel is not able to provide the room that is displayed on booking services, then why display it in the first place. Unlike the room I booked, the room they gave me seemed to have been renovated years ago, was cold and had small windows looking at the parking lot. The staff, while being nice and friendly, could not help me. This situation, unfortunately, has affected my overall impression a lot.
I hope future guests will have better experience than I.
