GGuest UserIt was a very satisfying accommodation experience. The proprietress told me a lot of necessary information, such as the bus schedule around the lake, and taught me how to play and where to get off so that I would not miss the good attractions or take the wrong path. The room is very spacious, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The overall feeling is more comfortable and safer than staying in a hotel. The tea here is also very delicious, the best souvenir!

AAnonymous UserHotel is wonderful!!!! I went to Taiwan last year and saw this hotel. Told myself I need to return and stay in this hotel and I did in 2025. 0 regrets! The location is wonderful and the room is fantastic!! The reception was super friendly too! What i love about this boutique hotel is there is a lift and they provide carpark that is just a 1min walk away. Everything is super wonderful especially for the price. I highly recommend it to anyone who is driving and like peace and quietness :)

GGuest UserAs it's an all-wooden building, I was a bit concerned it might be old-fashioned or run-down before our visit. However, I was genuinely amazed the moment we stepped into the room. The delightful scent of wood immediately filled the air, coupled with a fantastic lake view. It was spotless, and the service was excellent. A special shout-out to the friendly staff member at the entrance; his attitude was superb! He not only helped with our luggage but also gave us a thorough introduction to the room (the boss should definitely give him a raise!). It was truly wonderful, and I definitely plan to revisit Sun Moon Lake and stay here again!

GGuest UserThis 民宿was very deep in and west facing so not ideal if you are planning to watch the sunrise. The room itself, one of the rooms floor was not levelled and had motion sickness stepping into and living in there.
There were also millipede in 2 of 4 rooms booked but i think it is only naturally since CingJing is in the nature! Not too bothered.
The hotel staff though,both the reception and the kitchen staff on breakfast shift, are so polite. And we are greeted by their house pet dog and cat. Though do expect that the kitchen staff can't speak/understand fluent Mandarin but basic mandarin and English is fine.
Do bring your own water as the room does not have a kettle.

GGuest UserAn hourly shuttle service is available to the pier. However, the hotel is quite a distance from the main shopping area, so you'll need to plan your meals accordingly, either eating before heading back or dining at the hotel. The hotel's dining options are good, and the aged preserved daikon radish chicken soup was especially delicious. My main dissatisfaction was its remote location from the shopping district, coupled with a limited number of on-site facilities and dining choices. If your primary goal is simply to enjoy the lake's beauty, then the large in-room bathtub and private terrace offer truly stunning direct views of the lake.

CCYY1111I booked Lake View Quad 1 Room 2 Nights. Inside the room two large double beds were placed side by side on one side of the room, leaving a small passage to place your luggages and to move within the room. The two beds were sufficient for 4 pax. But the beds were so close, there was no walking space between them. One can only get out of the bed via the foot of the bed. This is not ideal for senior people who may need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. So if you are travelling with seniors, take the twin / double room instead. The savings is not worth it. Plus the room has really limited space for 4 adults to be moving around.
The plus point for this hotel is that it has an amazing view of the lake and there are many shops along the street. Do note that the walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours next door, especially if they sat at the balcony. There was no shower curtain so the whole toilet was wet after our shower. We didn't use the tub as it was not easy for the seniors to sit inside. No amenities except Shampoo and Body Soap.

KkristineThe hotel is very near the drop off point and is located at an area with lots of restaurants and bike rental shops. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view of the parking lot and the lake. The room was so spacious and had its own jacuzzi and bathroom, which was a big plus. The free breakfast buffet was in another hotel nearby, but it was good as it's facing the lake. A total value for money!

Room booked was all lake view double suite, quite disappointed with the space, but the lake view is still great (no balcony)
Towel and other stuffs are not provided for free, they got a price list for it, so its better to prepare small towel when visit. (hair dryer provided)
Services was great, very nice and kind to customers.
Breakfast provided, it was buffet form of local dishes (porridges and sides, with drinks as well)
Overall Rating 7.5/10, its a great place to stay, but might not visit again in a mean time.
